The City Landscaping does a very poor job of maintaining the park. I Don't understand why that is since they're Fully Staffed and at times, you can see them in the Work trucks riding 4 Deep.

As a longtime resident of Richmond, I try to always contribute to the local economy. I attempted to plan a birthday party at one of the community pools, I visited this place to pay the $30 application fee & request the site. I applied more than 30 days prior to the requested event date. I emailed the director of Aquatics, she NEVER replied to my emails or phone messages, I waited over 2 weeks to find out if the date requested was available I couldn't get a simple yes or no. This is SLOPPY and a SORRY example for a major city to run their Park & Rec department. And because the date was approaching and I had a party to plan I booked a pool party elsewhere and when I asked for a refund for the $30 because they LITERALLY DID NOTHING but take my money, they refused me a refund with attitude. But on the Brightside it's $30 that I paid to know that I will NEVER again in my life attempt to host an event using the city of Richmond Park and Rec Department.

It turns off the community who want to contribute to Richmond, It shouldn't take 3 weeks to look at a calender to check if tables are booked. But when all else fails you call San Francisco's Park & Rec which gladly takes your money and books your event immediately then you can invite people to your party that you know will happen without waiting 3 weeks to find out if it's even available.
