Prefer for kiddos to run and play. Now they have the holiday lights and drive through. I've been enjoying this park for 48 years. Went here for prom and my first kiss. Among other firsts. I remember my grandmother taking me here for the first time and all the times throughout my years. Now I take my daughter's here and still many great memories.

Nice shady park along the river and pond. Safe children's area and beautiful gardens by the old Borst home.

Nice park. Well used. Several families were having picnics and just sitting in the shade on a hot summer day. Many dogs were there. There is a fenced in off leash area, too.

Big playground, during summer, it stays pretty shaded. Has bathrooms (however no soap). And pretty long walks. Also has a dog park for those interested

Literally right off the freeway is this little gem of a park...very historical in its past it is definitely worth the visit.
Was there in the late afternoon and it was not too busy and it was good to see the people enjoying themselves. Dogs a plenty and wild critters to boot. Some good walking trails to take as they are not stressful to do. Ample parking for everyone...swing sets and playground for the kids...
Park also holds events and such through the year...we grabbed up on some takeout food and relaxed in the shade and enjoyed the atmosphere ...lots of mom n pop in the area..so give a visit if in the area.

Love this place! So many memories! I loved fishing here as a kid! I also did my softball tournaments across the way here. Ate a sandwich with my grandma here. Also cool light shows during Christmas!

This is one of the best park a person or family could expect to enjoy .. Authentic U.S Fort to check out a children's pond that gets stocked with plenty of fish ,a river (Chehelis) and a baseball diamond that is in view to catch a game or two . lots of trails ,a huge play ground ,plenty of rest rooms pic-nic areas that are covered so yes,I like it

I've been in Centralia for many years and Borst Park is always a nice place to visit, year round. From fishing and feeding ducks around the pond, walking through the trails to the river, sitting in the grass surrounded by tall, beautiful trees, to visiting the old Borst fort and home, there's always something enjoyable to do. Including seeing the Christmas lights they put up every December! Very clean park, but bathrooms do tend to get a little gross. That's really the only downside.

This is a lovely place to walk, explore, or picnic which is what we do. They ha e public bathroom that are nice and clean and a play ground. Some historical buildings to read about and plenty of parking, built in BBQs and covered and uncovered tables to use!
My kids met my mom's new puppy for the first time in this pic. You can see there are a lot of older red woods and pines around. Bring bug spray though the hornets get a little testy!

Love bringing our 1 y/o Belgian Malinois here either to walk around the park on leash, or go to the dog park and let her run around. Dog park has two separate areas, one for “large” dogs and another for “small” dogs.

Beautiful spot for taking your kids. They have a playground, they have walking trails and you can even do some fishing, or even have a picnic.

I ate my breakfast there and I was able to find a parking spot close to a trashcan. Didn't have any homeless people asking for money, like previous experiences. The city has been vigilant about not letting them camping out there.

My son and I walk here almost daily. It's a beautiful park. The paved walkway makes it easy to push a wheelchair on. It has nice benches, picnic tables and beautiful gardens to look at.
