Been coming here since my first cat was a kitten and they have helped so much, from an ear infection to a feisty attitude at the vet, they’re so amazing every step of the way! I love them so much I started bringing our new kitten to them and he loves them!

I have been taking my dog to MB Animal Hospital since she was a puppy. They are wonderful! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They always try to help me get an appointment as soon as possible. Dr. Steinman is an excellent vet. He is very patient and always makes sure to give a detailed explanation as he examines my dog. Every time my dog has a vaccine or comes in for an illness, the office calls me the next day to see how my dog is feeling. I highly recommend MB Animal Hospital!

I have been going to this clinic for 20 years - that itself should speak volumes. The veterinarians there are quite knowledgeable. (Sometimes Dr. Steinam overwhelms me with info LOL!) They so are caring. All the staff are so nice and happy. My pup is in love with one of the techs and her tail wags so fast when she sees him.

Dr. Johnson is wonderful! She treated our pup (and us humans) with so much kindness and respect, was very knowledgable and good at easing our worries as well. Definitely recommend her to anyone with a furry family member!

My dog is so lucky to have found his vet Dr Kagan here. She's by far the most thorough and caring vet we've ever came across. She also just genuinely really cares about our dog, who once bit her but she never cared any less for him. Our dog is very old and have a few health problems, and she calls all the time to check on him just to see how he is. All the staff here are nice, it's quite easy to get a same day/same week appointment, there's never a long wait l, and not to mention they are very reasonable with pricing here. Dr Kagan only orders tests/labs when necessary and she lets you choose if you want to include some or not. I have recommended a couple friends here and they all agree she's really thorough and knowledgeable. We moved somewhat far from the area but will always come back to this clinic in the future.

The level of service, care and expertise here is beyond any of my expectations. We get such personal service , it feels like family there, even my older dog is happy to trot in there !

This is a wonderful veterinary office!! The staff is always friendly and willing to help and the vets are knowledgeable and very caring.

I've been to this location for my old dog several times. Generally the experiences have been wonderful, even during the pandemic when pet owners had to wait outside in the parking lot. Their staff do their best to make the whole process as efficient and as sensible as they can, and the facilities appear to be in good shape. During the most recent visit I was allowed to go inside and be with my dog during examinations and vaccinations. The level of expertise and care they exude is very reassuring. The doctor that was on staff has loads of experience and is quite patient in conveying that knowledge. The prices are quite good for most things considering this is in Manhattan Beach where they COULD charge an arm and a leg, but they simply don't. We've moved to Culver City now but still choose to come here.

Really great care for my German Shepard pup. They care about the well being of your pet and have always had a doctor call me back for questions I have left them regarding my pet. I highly highly recommend this veterinarian.
Update: I’ve since moved to Seattle and my dog had a lot of GI trouble. Insurance refused to pay stating pre-existing condition. However Dr Steinam was very kind to write a detailed letter explaining how it wasn’t and helped me get back a fair bit of money from insurance. They are the best veterinarians I’ve been too and very helpful.

By far, Dr. Steinam is the best veterinarian we have ever seen and we've seen quite a few. (We are in our sixties.) For a while we kept trying to find a closer vet as we live in Redondo and they are in Manhattan but, it's just not worth it.

Dr Steinam has saved several of our dogs with emergency surgeries that would have died without them. A long time ago, our dog was suddenly very sick. We sought an appointment with a vet we had seen twice before and several others. We were rejected because it was 12 noon Saturday and they were closing.

Then we called Dr. Steinam, whom we had never seen before, and he agreed to see us. As it turned out, our dog had a uterine infection and needed immediate emergency surgery. Instead of referring us to an after hours emergency center, he did the surgery himself, inspite of the fact that they too were closing.

Our dog survived despite the fact that as soon as he opened her up, her uterus ruptured. Without Dr. Steinam's surgery, our dog would have surely died.

Surgery is always expensive but their prices are very comparable, if not a little less.

He never pushes you to do anything. He just lays out the facts and your options and lets you decide what is best for you and your family. He is extremely knowledgeable and highly skilled.

The staff here is very competent, friendly, and very knowledgable. If you're looking for a good veterinarian clinic, you should come here.

Great service here! Always friendly, and my dog is always in a good mood after spending a day here. Price for day-boarding is reasonable and I've never had a problem. And the people at the front desk are awesome :)

Have brought all my cats to Dr. Steinam for over 20 years. I’ve had Spike who had severe stomatitis and
Timmy who needed emergency surgery three days after swallowing a wad of ribbon. And yet another cat with severe allergies (who I thought was on his death bed) who has flourished and is now a beautiful, healthy 15 year old. He saved Tommy’s life when he could not urinate.
Dr. Steinam is extremely knowledgeable; he continues to study and share information with his staff.
He is a certainly a cat whisperer; I can attest to how he has calmed my most nervous boy,who, like most of the others, was a street cat (he is petrified if a stranger just looks at him).
I’ve seen Dr. Steinam talking to a dog on his hands and knees, while observing his gait (or something).
Dr. Kagan is also quite amazing; very detail oriented, observant, and calming and caring.
Kathy, the office manager is delightful and friendly; a true animal lover (as are all the staff).

Definitely finding a new veterinary office for my dog after today's experience.

The first time I called this office, the person I spoke with was so helpful and got my dog in quickly so I was full of confidence but it was all down hill from there. I have seen 2 vets here, one was nice but did not instill much confidence at all and the other seemed knowledgable. Overall though, my complaint has to do with the practices (which feel very dishonest to me) and not the care.

They require you to put a card on file and/or upfront before taking your dog back for treatment as you are not allowed to go inside the facility with your dog at this time. Prior to giving them my card on both occasions, I mentioned that I would need to know the cost of the proposed treatments before proceeding and/or before my card was charged and both times I was assured that someone would discuss the charges with me before running my card. On both occasions, my card was charged without the cost of treatments being discussed prior to, ie: without me having the opportunity to say "yes or no" to treatment based on cost and necessity. In short, both charges were unauthorized.

The second time it happened, the person on the phone was very rude and dismissive -- she didn't say anything inappropriate, but tone is everything and her attitude was exceptionally poor which infuriated me more (and frankly, is a big part of the reason I am going through the trouble of writing this review).

It should also be noted that I feel like they push costly meds/treatments without confirming that they are needed first. The first time the doctor suggested some really expensive prescription food as well as a medication that "maybe she needs, maybe she doesn't." I wasn't that bothered because my dog did very well on the food and I figured they were being proactive. Even though heart worm isn't a huge concern in our area, it was suggested at the first visit so I inquired about it at the 2nd visit. They proceeded with testing/treatment, but again, cost was never discussed. They also sent de-worming treatment because I noted that I saw weird white, mucus-y stuff in her poop that *might* be worms but the person who brought my dog out to me said I should wait 2 weeks to give her the medicine because the test results weren't back yet...that medicine was $70. I noted that I had insurance I wanted to use for the dog and no one bothered to call before invoicing and charging me despite them saying they would.

The other smaller thing that bothered me is that I had to wait for her to be seen when she was having concerning symptoms so I called and asked if I should take her to emergency for fluids or if I could give her Pedialyte and while someone did call me back with a message from the doctor, they didn't actually answer my questions and instead just suggested doing what I told her I had already been doing (bland diet).

I have been to this office twice for what are apparently minor stomach issues with my dog (diarrhea and vomiting) and have spent over $700 between 2 visits. If you're on a budget or just like to be informed before making decisions, don't go here!

They rather have my dog die than make there $$ for exam!! All they had to do is call my regular vet to find out the info they needed, instead of potentially saving my dog's life do to heart failure by giving her a simple shot, they'd rather her die unless they get paid first...

Old lady inside was extremely rude. Vendors, do not work with them. Place is falling apart inside. Attitudes are contagious.
