Critics went above and beyond for my bridal shower! I had a small rooftop gathering of about 20 gals and Kaycie knew exactly how to handle this type of event. From the menu selection to the set-up, it was absolutely stunning and my guests were raving over the avocado toast bar! I really enjoyed working with Kaycie and her energy is amazing! She is very personable, very professional and because of that, I will continue to use Critics for future events.

Kaycie is excellent at planning a wedding/creating an event. She is creative, organized, and comes in with great energy. She gives her ideas, but is mindful to ask your input to let things marinate. Kaycie did heavy lifting as our caterer, assisted in final table arrangements and helped us with day-of-coordination. She is an All-Star!

Critic's can help you with flowers, centerpieces, décor, and connect you with other vendors. For food, the price is better than many other local caterers (we got quotes from 5). The food is higher quality/tastier than most wedding food we have had.

All-in-all, Critic's Choice was an amazing positive force in our wedding. They helped shape our reception into a beautiful, memorable banquet. From the coffee bar to the dessert bar, our guests raved about the options they had. Would recommend to anyone!

Kaycie and the entire Critics Choice Team was truly amazing! From the first conversation I had with Kaycie it was clear that I had finally found a vendor who was on my side! Kaycie is more than just a caterer but is also an event designer, logistics guru, party planner and everything in between.

I first discovered Critics Choice and met Kaycie during April 2020 when I thought my September 2020 wedding was going to happen. Kaycie truly listened to my vision and vibe for the wedding and helped me craft a beautiful menu answering every single one of my questions with patience & clarity. When the time came and we decided to postpone our wedding Kaycie and her team were extremely flexible and willing to work with us! Fast forward to our May 30th 2021 wedding date - Kaycie and her team knocked it out the park. All the food was AMAZING & FLAVORFUL. From the lamb chops to the crab cakes and petit filet mignon served at dinner. Our guests came up to us saying this was the BEST wedding food they had ever ate!

Additionally, Kaycie also worked with my Mom to plan the most EPIC Bridal Shower for me! Everything was absolutely amazing from the decor to the champagne with fresh fruit puree dazzled with floral petals. My guests also were obsessed with the tri tip, shrimp and grits, and beautiful cheese grazing station at my bridal shower. In addition, to the food, Kaycie also acted as an party planner for this event and the decor was absolutely incredible it felt like we were transported to a chateau in Italy so many precious photo moments & beautiful decor! Maura created charcuterie boxes for the last wedding I coordinated, and they were delicious! Perfect for cocktail hour appetizers. She was so easy to work with, and very focused on creating a great experience for my couple and their guests.

Critics Choice did such a fantastic job with our wedding and we have received so many compliments about how great their food was! I cannot thank Kaycie enough for all of her hard work leading up to and during our big day. She was really committed to making our dream a reality and did such an amazing job putting everything together!

From beginning to end, Kaycie,Tracy, and everyone else we worked with at Critics Choice was absolutley delightful and so helpful! We hired them for our wedding and were trying our best to plan the whole thing from Arizona. Kaycie who was our reception coordinator went above and beyond for us, helping us that was even out of her realm of things she was in charge of. And let me tell any of you who read this... the food is EXCEPTIONAL!!! I wish there was a higher rating than 5 stars because they honestly deserve so much praise. My husband and I chose Critics Choice for our October wedding and we could not have been happier! Every person we worked with at CC was phenomenal! Their experience in the wedding industry is undeniable. Every single thing was delicious. The charcuterie and crudités displays were absolutely stunning - everything was such a hit! From apps to desserts, our guests have not stopped raving about the food. The presentation and quality were SO incredible, and the team did an amazing job with set up and take down. Can't say enough about how wonderful it is to have Michelle and her staff to do an event for you. They have been a very important part of making our Valentines Day Tea at the Banning Museum such a success and one of the best in the South Bay. The food is always perfect and the service is the best.

I have a severe nut allergy and they take pleasure in modifying something special for me, they’re family owned and operated and truly make every order meaningful. "Hands down the best wedding food I ever had." This was not just from one guest, but heard this from many. Critic's Choice knocked it out of the park for our wedding reception. Our venue was a tough location to cater to, and they showed up and made sure everything was on point. Kaycie and her team went above and beyond to give us a perfect celebration. The speciality drink her bartenders put together, the wine selection, Chef's accommodations with the food choices due to being in an outdoor space. All of it! I recommend them and look forward to working with them again!

I have worked in just about every facet of the event and wedding industry which I am very passionate about. Service is everything and Critic's Choice absolutely blew my mind with their level of service. Maura was a dream to work with. She brought her A game, her honors, her experience, her passion for service and for people to the wedding they catered this past weekend. She is thoughtful, caring, kind and absolutely understands and appreciates the entire process. You cannot ask for more when it comes to catering. The food was prepared to perfection and her team was fluid, accommodating and extremely helpful towards my coordinating team. Kaycie and the Critic's Choice team were great to work with. During our food tasting, we initially chose items that we realized weren't great choices, and Kaycie was very patient & understanding, listened to our concerns, let us try different alternatives, and then we ended up changing a lot on our menu. We really appreciated how Kaycie made sure we were happy and confident with our choices!! Her passion and enthusiasm is very admirable.The guests at our wedding said the food was one of the best meals they've ever had at a wedding, which is so important since everyone always remembers the food! Critic's Choice Catering has been my go-to caterer for 25 years! I first learned about them when they were catering the holiday parties for the team at South Bay Galleria. Since then they've worked on indoor and outdoor events for me. I can always rely on the food and service being spectacular. I don't have to micro-manage anything they are responsible for, which is a real joy when planning events. Quality and reliability are great, but they also have very creative menus and are priced reasonably. I've been especially impressed with their new offering - DIY meals! They kept their entire team employed during the pandemic by offering prepared meals for holidays and special events, starting with Mother's Day. Although 4th of July, and Labor Day were wonderful, I must admit Lobster Festival was my fave! Keep up the good work!

Critic's Choice does it all! We had Critic's Choice cater our wedding earlier this month and absolutely LOVED the versatile menu we got to choose from. For our wedding, we wanted something different than the typical wedding menu, and Critic's Choice had SO many choices beyond that. We went with the Hawaiian Luau menu and were so happy with our choice. The slow cooked pork was AMAZING. Our guests enjoyed the great flavors of the pineapple fried rice, ahi tuna appetizers, and the delicious Hawaiian macaroni salad. The mini dessert bar we had was perfect (we crushed the mini donuts!). What's even better is that Critic's Choice does not just do catering! They have an amazing wedding package that includes linens, table decor, signage, and so much more. Critic's Choice truly delivers and you won't be disappointed!

What a spectacular wedding we had thanks to Critic’s Choice Catering. We could not recommend them more highly! Their planning and overall event management—along with the spectacular food—made for a perfect event at our home. Lorraine worked closely with us for months visiting several times and considering every detail: our menu, where the Welcome champagne would be served, how many bartenders and servers we might need.

The day of the event could not have gone better thanks to Cynthia’s management. We were delighted to see the extra touches that elevated the event, like candle lanterns at the food stations and the cake table, lighted signs at the bars, and beautiful table decorations. The staff of servers and bartenders were wonderful, caring, and didn’t miss a beat. There never seemed to be any ‘loose ends; instead, we were able to thoroughly enjoy our wedding free of worry.

Several of our local friends said they would absolutely consider Critics Choice for their upcoming events. I know we will, too. Thank you, Lorraine, Cynthia, and team for all you did to make our Special Day one we’ll never forget.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Critic’s Choice, and especially Nirvana!!! They did an incredible job at our wedding last weekend and people have not stopped raving about the food from the apps, dinner and dessert! The food was always delicious at our tastings and it was honestly even better on the day of the wedding!!! We went with one of their wedding event packages and it was absolutely perfect. Nirvana was truly incredible, she worked so hard to go above and beyond for our wedding. I don’t have words to express how thankful I am for all her hard work to execute such a great evening for us. The entire staff was SO on top of everything the whole night and it was truly perfect. I can’t thank Nirvana enough for all that she did to make sure the event went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend Critics to anyone looking for a caterer in the South Bay and especially ask for Nirvana! She is so great at her job and did so much to make the night wonderful. Kaycie and Critic’s Choice did a fantastic job with our wedding. They were responsive to my constant need for confirmation regarding allergy issues, as well as extremely professional for the entire process. From the tasting through our wedding day, they were the best!

The food is DELICIOUS. High quality and many different options. We had the salmon w/tzatziki and tri-tip steak for our main entree options. It was so hard to choose at the tasting because everything was so good. They are extremely accommodating for dietary needs. We had people who couldn’t eat dairy, olive oil, soy, gluten, etc. and somehow we were able to figure it out so everyone had something delicious to eat!

One of the best things about them is that they partner with a couple other vendors and package so much into the catering, including cake, linens, etc. One of the hardest things about planning the wedding was coordinating everyone, so it was great to have another middle person who could help with that!

The service day of was also spectacular. We had the wedding at a relative’s house, and staff were extremely respectful and kind. Many guests commented on how great everyone was.

Anyway, my husband and I would highly recommend them. Their pricing felt so fair considering all they did for us! Please look here if you need catering in so cal :)

I use to work for them and prior to that, I’ve worked at a number of catering company. I have to say, hands down, Critic’s is the best. The staff were amazing and so professional and the leadership team……I have not enough words to express my love for them. Michelle, Lorraine and Stephanie made me feel like family and I absolutely loved working with them and assisting with giving their clients the most extravagant dinner event possible.

We had a wedding planed prior to the COVID-19 lock down. Instead of doing business like a lot of other places and not offering a refund, they not only worked with us by putting the rest of our payment installments on hold. But kept the prices the same when we had a scaled back reception a year later. They were very flexible when we had a small ceremony of 10 in our yard last year. They catered the wedding with the same menu and a scaled down crew. The food was very good and the service during the event was great. They were on top of keeping the reception on track during the evening. We will definitely be using Critic’s Choice again.
