Amapola Market

First time going to this location. I went early and got lucky. They gave a small parking lot behind the store with a line to enter. It took a few minutes to get a spot but then I was able to walk in and in less than 5 minutes I had secured my 45 lbs de masa. Check out was almost as fast. All the staff was friendly and the time to park to time of check out was about 15 mins.

I travel from san diego to LA to go here and get the masa for tamales and tortillas, and specially the sweet bread, those Biscuits are the best thing ever but get there early cause they go quickly 🙃 😅

Best weekend taquitos, corn tortillas, and masa for tamales, not to mention their selection of meats and some of their guisados to go are good too! Hope they open an Amapola location in Lancaster!

Even though this is a small location, this store is the best. 🥰. The manager has been there for years I remember him from my childhood and recently I visited again all food tastes exactly the same yummy and always warm. It does get packed, but everything is fresh and their tortilla packs are a must buy and worth the wait! The taquitos on Saturday and Sunday are also the bomb! Just go yourself and remember patience is key 🔑, because it is a small location.

Everything they sell in delicious. Definitely recommend it. No Parking is a major factor.

Not sure how to rate a spot like La Amapola but I will try my best.
Want some good bread? They got it. Es delicioso.
Want fresh meat and good quality? They have that too.
Want the best masa for traditional tamales? That's what their famous for.
Want fresh tortillas? Absolutely They got it.
How about a Deli with good food that tastes like homemade... yup they got that too.
There is also the taquitos dorados which are a must, the carnitas, chicharron and buche.
And if you are there then you will also find some fresh veggies and your basic supermarket needs because why not.
The place is clean but definitely packed on weekends and holidays. So expect a crowd. Best time to go is during the week and skip the rush.

Best Carnitas, salsa roja and tortillas in town! I was a bit disappointed though cause I went for a carnitas burrito and their food area was closed, maybe because I went late afternoon☹ and because if the pandemic, so go early if you don't mind the crowd, cause trust me, it gets crowded! But worth it cause their food is the best!!

Food always awesome, i grew up with the tradition of every weekend it was delicious carnitas with my moms handmade tortillas....also the getting in line at night to wait for the nixtamal for the pozole and the masa for the tamales during the holidays. My mom knows the owners great people. Also the staff great as well. So if you want some good mexican grub this is definitely the place to go...100% recommend....

Best carnitas and salas ever. If you need them chopped up a little they do it free of charge and provide you with cilantro and onion free too. Wish their tortillas were hot instead of luke warm

Love the bread, tortillas, the meat, the champurado it is the best. Not one other authentic place in the world. It is unique. So people please value and appreciate it because I wish I had this in Texas. My dad brings me stuff from there when he visits me down here and I always like treasure the food.

This place is crowded for a reason all products are good,they sell masa para tamales fresh made and some little bolillitos that are super yummy in fact good place to go.

My favorite spot for home cook meal without going home for lunch. This is a busy place. Customer service did their best. They are fast, efficient and wonderful people. Good food, good drink and good overall service. Just be patience or call before come to pick up your item. Great place and great people. Give yourself sometimes because this place is crowed at lunch time. CROWED! - meant it is the favorite spot for all kind of people.

The best corn tortillas in town. No added nothings, just three ingredients. Real good carnitas and fresh salsa too.
