Jewel City Inn Glendale

5 stars for value! Would recommend if you’re on a budget. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in my life and there are a lot of good things to say about my stay here based on all the experiences I’ve had. First of all, I really appreciated the service. Everyone was very nice. Next, I loved that we always had parking even though it was the weekend. Finally, I couldn’t believe how big our room was compared! Lots of space. I will be honest and say you get what you pay for with this place. If you want a 5 star hotel, this is not the place and the area does look a little rough but we still felt very safe here. We didn’t hear anything crazy at night and no one bothered us. It was a good location to let us explore LA as well without paying a lot of money for a hotel. There are some good food options near by within walking distance too.

Its a nice little hole in the wall Hotel and i had a peacefull nights sleep. They have a fridge and microwaves but no ice.

I recently booked this Inn for 1 person for two nights. Day plans included Universal Studios, but could not afford to book a hotel for just myself for $550.00+ (also in Glendale). So I cancelled and rebooked at Jewel City Inn. I read some recent reviews and decided to take a chance. Some people mentioned that the owner was very nice and I totally agree. They did not have an ice machine on site and the owner let me use his plastic ice tray from his home. I really appreciated the kindness. The grounds were tidy and upkept. The room was downstairs and had an adjoining kitchenette. The bathroom was also a very good size. Everything looked and smelled very clean. Basic toiletries in the bathroom. Freezer/Fridge combo in the kitchen. I did not get to explore the neighboring area but I did appreciate that the Inn is located in a residential neighborhood, just off of the main street. I felt very safe. & the evening and nights were quiet. The parking spaces are also very close to the room doors. I appreciated that it was not overly crowded, but also this is a hidden Jewel. I hope more people book. Again, very kind Owner, very clean, and very affordable. Everything you want in a home away from home.

This is a small motel style property located in Glendale. It seemed to be in a decent and safe area from what we could tell. We booked one standard room and one with a kitchenette. The kitchenette room adds a full size fridge and a cook top area with some additional storage

The standard room is on the smaller side, but is adequate for two people. It had a mini fridge, microwave and a small table with two chairs. The bathroom was a good size with a large walk in shower.

The real star is the location, being within a short Uber ride to many of LA's top attractions. We felt the room itself was a good value, and was kept up well and clean. It served as a good base for us as we traveled around LA. The parking is even included in the rate, a rare thing in an LA area hotel

Would recommend paying a bit extra for the kitchenette if you want more space to move around. We would recommend and will likely be back next time we're in the area

We stayed at this property with my parents from 2-6 october. We had one standard queen room and another queen room with kitchenette. Both rooms were comfy well kept and clean . The bathroom was clean and spacious with a nice walkin shower. The property has free parking onsite which other properties charge in the neighborhood. The motel is in quiet safe residential neighborhood. You can get lyft and uber here to go anywhere is the city. Most if the attractions like universal, disney la down town meuseum are 30 mins drive. The service is exceptional at the property. The first night i requested owner a charger for iphone and he willingly gave me his own and asked me to keep it till end of my stay. We needed extra soaps which they provided immediately. The thing which really touched my heart was his wife’s gesture of making masala chai out of her home for my old parents when we returned tired from LA whole day city tour. She even shared her own fresh garden produce fruits with my parents. We have found a home away from home to explore LA. We will come back and stay again and again. We will happily recommend them to our family and friends.

Great location. Safe neighborhood. Small motel with very comfortable beds, pillows and nice towels. It is simple, very clean, spacious and efficient for staying somewhere to crash after a long drive or after a long day sightseeing around Los Angeles. I give a 5 star because of the price, cleanliness, great bed and highway 5 accessibility.

Not sure about the bad experiences others have had here, its a basic hotel in Glendale. Worth it, fridge and microwave and fan work. Bathroom fan was not working but still vented smell. You get what you pay for, if you want the four seasons, shouldn't expect <900 a night.

I loved everything! The bed was comfy, the kitchen was very useful, and the bathroom was great too because I forgot to bring shampoo and conditioner but there were dispensers in the shower so I didn't have to worry. I would definitely come here again!

Excellent location, close to all necessities and convient to the freeway. Clean quiet and accommodating. We got a room with a kitchenette, however they do not provide anything to cook or serve food with. I like this area, not as hectic and noisy as Hollywood for instance. Free parking and FAST free wifi are excellent perks here. We loved it.

The rooms were. Decent size with a good strong AC unit. The room was clean when I arrived and smelled really good too. The bed was comfortable to lay on and it was overall a good room to stay at.

Like the other reviews, this place shocked me! Do not be discouraged to stay here by the appearance on the outside. The inside is exactly like the pictures, updated with standing shower with Shampoo & Conditioner dispensers! Definitely will stay here again! Thank you!

I stayed 4 different times. Its well maintained. Great showers, homely. But watch the price. We stayed on a thursday and came back on saturday and paid the same. Dont let them. Weekdays are always supposes to be cheaper by at least $20. I will go back.

Have stayed here alot and that is because of the friendly owners who truly care for their guests. Love the rooms and property. It's a cozy place great for short or long stay. Really recommend Glen Capri & suites Winchester.

Proprietor was extremely nice. Very quiet rooms / building. Room had a kitchenette. New TV with good cable. Bed linen looked brand new.

Pleasantly surprised we normally go to the original Glen Capri but due to renovations it was closed so we went to the sister hotel motel and it was very clean brand new kitchen and Modestly comfortable bed

Updated, clean, good size rooms and comfortable mattresses. Prices are low and definitely worth it.

The front desk receptionist was friendly, the parking was easy and the room was in excellent condition! No complaints.
