Love coming here. So much variety and always something new to find. Stuart really has a great eye for art books, especially more difficult to find (and flip through) import books.

It's hard to find a lot of images for these books online, so it's nice that he lets me go through each one before picking out my purchases.

Great sales too. Got a nice, out of print Disney art book for $5 today. Make sure to visit if you're interested in the world of illustration and animation at all. Awesome shop!

What a great shop! It's one of those places where if you keep looking around, you'll keep finding treasures. If you're a fan of pop and comic book art, they stock some incredible volumes including rare and out-of-print works. Stuart also purchases some fantastic sketchbooks that artists usually only carry at cons. You can find many autographed ones like the Humberto Ramos one I purchased. There are reference books, omnibus collections and more. The discount section is definitely worth sifting through. The staff is very insightful & helpful.

I'm a life-long illustration and art fan, and visiting Stuart Ng Books was the highlight of my trip to LA. I'd purchased a few books over many years from the store online, but nothing beats the real thing! The manager and staff were attentive and busy-but were knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. I had the pleasure of meeting Stuart himself and he was extremely generous with his time and open with his invaluable experience. He clearly has a genuine passion for what he does and this sincerity can be seen in the little details around his store. Things like unexpected hand-typed inserts in certain books giving them context to the reader, exclusive english translations of European publications, signed limited editions featuring some of the great local talent, and more.

If you're an artist of any sort or someone who just admires and appreciates their work, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

One of my top favorite places to visit regularly. Located in Torrance, they are about an hour away from Hollywood etc.... but if you love art and animation, you should visit this one-of-a-kind specialty store. Their sizable section of international/ European art comics must be seen. Treat yourself.

Best bookstore ever. They are a specialty store. If you are looking for something on art, entertainment industry, animation, books from overseas they are the place. Known Worldwide for their ability to find the hard to get items. Great customer service. Try them you will love it. Books, artwork, out of print items

I'll be honest I rarely leave reviews but I just gotta with this one. I bought 3 Steven Universe books from three different sites/places.

The book I bought from Stuart NG Books was legit the only one that was properly packaged to avoid damage. It was even over packaged.

It arrived in a box. Wrapped in two layers of bubble wrap and then came in two layers of plastic.

Not only am I surprised at the care put into this book. I'm overjoyed it arrived in outstanding condition.

So much that I don't even want to open it. But I really want to give this book a read ;; and study the art. So open it I must ahhh.

I will be returning in the future ^^ 100%

This place is amazing! Staff was so friendly and helpful. Just wish I had more time (and money) to spend in the store. So many wonderful books about animation and cartoons.

The finest repository for art, illustration, comics, and artists. Their rare book collection alone is more than reason enough to visit. Money well spent.

AMAZING STORE OMG !! i pre-ordered the first print signed edition on the Encanto art book and first of all they use premium bubble wrap so you get nice maximum poppage time when its time to pop those bad boys. Nicely packaged and the book was in EXCELLENT delicious condition. Also when i got curious on my book because this was my first time ordering from them and Stuart was such a sweet fun guy! You got yourself a loyal customer👀

a bookstore for anyone into art, pop-art, et al. . . I could spend hours and hours in this store. And, friendly staff helps. :D

I’ve only ever had one problem here and their customer service was exemplary. I’ve never received an item in less than pristine condition. They are an absolute treasure. I will be purchasing from them again and again.

I was stopping by to pick up some books with my cousin who was in the area visiting. Great selection of books and very friendly staff! In fact, I locked myself out of my car and a very kind (and ingenuitive) worker helped me unlock my car! 10/10 am excited to stop by again!

I'm a small bookseller. I've purchased all kinds of books, used and new, from many booksellers. I've never seen such accurate descriptions of books, and that's so important for resellers. Likewise, the way he packs his books for a safe delivery is second to none. I am looking through his site at least three times per week. I highly recommend Stuart Ng.

Been going here for 6 years now. They have a growing book business that is sustained by a mixture of French imports, American and Japanese animation connections, and their online presence.

I ordered an art book online for my boyfriend's birthday. This book is sold out everywhere and only available from resellers for $300+ , but this store had it for the regular retail price! Their customer service was amazing. I accidentally ordered two books and emailed asking if there was anything I could do. They responded within two days to say they would return one no problem. Shipping was FAST and they even let me know a week later that the shipping had cost less so they refunded me.

Also, the book arrived in perfect condition.

This is such a cool, unique store full of hard to find art books. Any artist visiting LA, who loves art books, fantasy, comics or manga should visit this store. It's totally worth it. The folks that run the shop are very friendly and helpful. I was in there well over an hour pouring over every shelf. Stuart gets tons of stuff from France, as probably every review mentions. He also carries prints, original art, a few statues, etc. If I lived in the area I'd probably be in there multiple times per month.

Found a book that I've been searching for for quite a while. Incredible packaging, you can tell they care. Also, received an unexpected refund on postage. Excellent experience, highly recommended!

Very helpful and friendly staff. They have the largest and most varied collection of comic books and art books I've ever seen. It really is stunning. You can find everything from one-off underground comix to Disney storyboard collections. A must visit.
