When I bought my first house, I worked with a real estate agent who was recommended to me. Unfortunately, she was a disaster. She hardly had time to show me properties and it always seemed that she was in a rush to manage other clients. She was not professional at all so when I decided to sell my home, I carefully screened real estate agents that I interviewed. When I spoke with Maricela about selling my house, I quickly got a good vibe from her because she is very professional, honest and respectful. When it came time to do the open house, Maricela was very respectful of my property and was especially vigilant of the spaces and items I asked her to watch carefully. She had two colleagues assist her with the open house to make sure there were no issues. It only took one open house for the property to sell. We received several offers and Maricela made the time to review all the offers with me. I am very grateful Maricela sold my property on the high-end of the market and that the entire process went smoothly. Maricela kept me informed every step of the way and never inconvenienced me with anything.
The sell of my property was contingent on me purchasing another property and Maricela was terrific in helping me find a home. She would always accompany me to see properties and I never felt rushed or that she was trying to push properties in a certain area. We always discussed the pros and cons of each property and Maricela would answer all of my questions even if she had to consult the seller's agent. Maricela even accompanied me to the Dept. of Building & Safety to confirm that all necessary permits and paperwork on any property I considered purchasing were in order. Maricela works with very professional people in terms of escrow company, inspectors and colleagues. They work as a team and I always felt confident they had my best interest in mind and gave me the best costs.
The property I purchased had more than eight offers and though my offer was not the highest, Maricela advocated on my behalf and showed the seller that I was the most qualified buyer and I successfully closed on the property. Maricela has been our realtor for 12 years now. She helped us purchase our first home in a though buyers market in 2010 and then helped us sell our first home and get into our current home. Maricela is very knowledgeable. I was looking to sell my condo and purchase a house. She put my condo on the market with a contingency that the only way the sell of my condo would go thru is if I was in escrow on another home within six months. I opened escrow on my condo and the potential buyer put a deposit. Well Maricela did it! My condo’s escrow closed about 4 days before, I closed on my house. Both transactions where at the same paced, so I was able to close on my condo, get my money and put as a down payment on my house. After closing on my condo, Marisela ensured to put in the contract that I can stay in the condo for 3 days after closing my house, which allowed me to pack everything and move to my new house.
Also Marisela has excellent negotiation skills. During a time when house prices were going up, she was able to bring down the house price by $10k. I highly recommend her!
