Their bread is delicious and has a unique authentic taste from Oaxaca. Also their powder instant coffee hits all the right flavors and aroma a good coffee should have. Keep up the good work don’t change.

Best conchas in LA, they use individual ingredients and non of that mixed flour stuff other bakeries in down town LA use.

I’ve been eating this bread since I was a kid, I’ve had a lot of Oaxaca bread but this place seems to make the most delicious bread out of all of them. I go here every October to place my order of bread for Dia De Los Muertos. They are a bit pricy but they have to keep making ends meet with the high Santa Monica rents, I personally don’t mind paying a bit more and I drive about 40 min to get here every year. Keep supporting small local businesses like this so they can stay around for many years to come.

Local LA Oaxacan here who has eaten bread both domestically and in Oaxaca - this mom and pop shop is the real deal.

Damn good bread that is meant to be eaten with "chocolatito" (Oaxacan hot chocolate) or some other hot drink (hence why Oaxacan bread is drier than usual bread). Perfect amount of sugar, butter, and texture to the bread, consistently so for the decades this warm couple has run the establishment. Relatives from all over CA ask me for this bread whenever I come visit them. My personal favorite is the "cuernito" (sugar croissant with a flaky, sweet middle). If you're traveling from far, I recommend you call ahead.

Service is great - for the people writing negative reviews: grow up. If someone doesn't kiss your feet at the door or service doesn't go to your complete expectations, don't disparage a place with a 1-star review - this breaks local businesses.
