Lawndale City Animal Control

Its been a long time since i felt heard and understood by city entities and officials. But today that changed. I actually felt heard, understood, and taken seriously. Thank you animal control patrol officers, city official, and supervisor. Lawndale is officially representing it title accurately: THE HEART OF THE SOUTH BAY!

I called Sunday April 25th, 2021 a 2:45 p.m. re a dog that had been barking all day for 7 or 8 days straight. An officer was on duty and took my report and told me it would be given to a field officer. Today Monday April 26, 2021 the matter appears to have been resolved. Most difficult for a kindergarten student in school via zoom.

Official Rating: zero stars. This place is a nightmare to deal with. Same runaround others have experienced with the officer. Was able to glean some information about an incident from staff members/operator. Otherwise, the officer in charge never seems to be in or is constantly "in a meeting." Left several messages, all went unreturned by said officer. As this is a govt service, city officials should take this seriously. I guess it's easier to provide a bad experience...reduces volume.

Lazy.
Sends you through loop after loop to get anything done with no results.
Was told to email my officer, whom never replied. Then told to call another service that never answers the phone and by after I finished with that still no results! Each time I call they send me through the same thing and tell me to contact the police or sheriff who will tell you it isn't their job.

The dumb people who work here put no effort on helping you. If you work with animals you have to love them too. If not don’t work here just for a pay check losers

Totally rude while trying to talk about an animal incident in their city of a cat being locked outside in a cage for two years. Person on the phone was cutting me off and just acted like she did not care...Horrible people working with these poor animals

People who work with animal control Should care about animals.From what I have seen they dont. Just a job

Nothing....they didn't do anything to free 3 dogs for been tied up all day all night.... They are lazy,didn't care !!!
