Terrible attitude by this old woman. Foul mouthed and sarcastic. Makes you feel like you're a nuisance instead of showing appreciation as a customer. Inconsistent schedule... etc. NEVER WILL GO BACK AGAIN. My wife didn't believe that it could be so bad so she tried to take the kids on her own. She told me that when the woman saw her approaching with the kids, she closed the business before they got to the door.

‘Horrible’ lady. ‘Awful’attitude. Never had that much bad experience in my life at a barber shop. Forget about Hair cut you won’t even get a chance to talk to a ‘single word’. This lady will “cut your mouth”before you even start speaking anything about hair cut or any general talk.
I called her around 9:30 just to make sure they are open since I do not want to drive there and I can find out that they are not open. Luckily I called and they were not open and I saved my 30 mins of time as they opened after 10.
Here is my story. I thought to support the local & small business but I think I made a mistake by stopping at this place.
I opened the door and asked “ Are you open”
Her reply was such a rude that it will give you a sign to ‘go off’ from that place right away.
She replied: OH COM’ON WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT SINCE THE DOOR IS OPEN AND YOU ALREADY INSIDE THAT MEANS IT IS OPEN. This is the way she talks to paying customers. First response will make you think that why did I came here??
The reason I asked is because since she was already late and just wanted to make sure they can take the customer as they walk in and also I found her little busy in doing some other things. In addition, there were no other customers.
Since she was so rude I thought to clarify some of the things but you will hardly get a chance to talk.
99.99% she will keep speaking “non sense” and in a very rude way – you will fill like you are in a jail and you have done a big crime. And if you are lucky enough you will get a chance to TALK – that to only for 0.01% -- And your spoken word will only you will listen since she never try to listen what I was speaking.
MINUS(-) star for this shop and her behavior. She don’t even deserve 1 star. NEVER WILL GO. Made my day OFF in the morning before going to work.

Utterly bizarre experience just one hour ago. I saw the positive reviews below about this little local barber shop and, since my 5 year old son's hair was a little shaggy, thought we'd support a local business and walk a few blocks down the street for a haircut. A woman stood in the doorway of Mark's Barber Shop and neither moved or attempted to make eye contact as we approached to enter. Without turning her head to look at me she simply said, "What do *you* want?"

Um, fine. I'll play along. "I thought we'd come in for a haircut."

"For you or the kid?" she blurted back.

"For the boy - nothing special, just a basic haircut."

"Fine, come in." For some reason, I didn't yet have the good sense to turn back.

My son climbs into the barber chair as the woman (who turned out to be the barber) asked me how I wanted his hair cut. I began to reply, but she looks down at my son who isn't doing anything but quietly sitting there and shouts, "SIT UP!" and then asks me again how to do his hair. I get maybe 3 words into my reply and she cuts me off, "Why can't he just get a haircut like yours?"

I could do nothing but smile and almost chuckled. I simply took my son's hand and told him we'll go find a better place for a haircut.

More power to her if she can pay the rent running an empty shop while driving away her only customer of the afternoon. On the way out the door, I suggested as politely as I could that perhaps working on her customer service was in order.

Cross this place off your list - there's surely a better option elsewhere.

Came here looking to get a haircut. Asked the woman (who was on her phone) if they were open yet as this was in the morning. She answered in a very rude and sarcastic tone "The sign says open." She then proceeded to tell the person she was on the phone with how someone just walked up and asked her a stupid question. This woman was incredibly rude. I'd hate to see how she treats other paying customers. 1 star out of 5. I will NEVER go back.
