The food was delicious and the staff was fast and friendly. It's a beautiful location with a great atmosphere. I would come back and definitely recommend giving this one a try!

My friend Laura from Berkeley, CA always wants to come to The Rose Cafe when she's in town. Food, service, atmosphere we're excellent for our miday brunch on Sunday. We will come again for sure!

We received such lovely service from Nico! The outdoor seating area is very nice, and feels a bit secluded with the bushes behind the bench-style seating.

The food that we tried was delicious, and Nico was very helpful with answering questions that we had about the menu!

We tried the Baja Octopus Ceviche, J-1 Steakhouse Burgers, Tea, Cucumber Mint Lemonade, Tea Cake, and the Cinnamon Roll. Each of these were super delicious. The burgers we had were very juicy, definitely on par with some of the best hamburgers that we've had in the area. The ceviche was very fresh as well, and light. The amount of lime they used was perfect, and the jalapeños added a nice touch!

Nico recommended the desserts when we asked, and we're so glad that we did. That pecan cinnamon roll was so good, but the tea cake was still very good as well!

We will definitely be back to try more!

Great atmosphere and location with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Restaurant, bar, and cafe all in one place. The kouign Amann pastry was amazing, buttery and custardy inside with a sweet crust. The coffee was really good and service was premium, with coffee and necessary items delivered to your table with a smile.

So tasty! Did brunch here today. Made a reservation in advance. Everything went smooth. The heat lamps were amazing because today it was so cold out. The food was all cooked perfect. The lobster roll could have been a little bigger and less bread but overall it was delicious. The steak and eggs were amazing too. The potatoes were so good! Fries were good too but they come with cinnamon on them which I wasn’t the biggest fan of. But that’s more preference. 5/5 for good service. Love this spot

First off, the service here was amazing, sat at the bar and storm was an amazing guy. Great drinks and really good Korean chicken sandwiches, the sweet gochujang sauce blended well with the kimchi and crispy chicken. Also ordered the baller which comes with half a dozen of fresh scallops and oysters, really fresh and clean tasting. The ambience really makes it worth the money in a laid back, bistro/tavern atmosphere with lost of good natural lighting.

The single best meal of my life was had at this establishment. Went back a month later and had perhaps the second best meal of my life. I may not be a man of exquisite taste (in fact quite the opposite), but The Rose gave me a deeper appreciation of flavor and culinary artistry. Try as many things from the menu as you can! I will be speaking about my first meal here for the rest of my life.

Enjoyed a Sunday dinner there, and our server A. was A+ She was friendly and helpful and made the experience worth it. Food was delicious and well presented, drinks are pricey but well crafted.

Came here on a friends recommendation and it did not disappoint! Everything tasted super fresh and flavourful, our server recommended a wine that was also delicious. We had the bulgogi beef bowl and the classic American burger, both were good portion sizes, not huge but were filling, a perfect size. Will definitely be coming back for dinner one day soon 🫶

It's a great place. My server was great, and the food was good, and the coffee was decent. It's beautiful and very interesting because there are people constantly working on food, either baking bread or doing something and it's very interesting watching them. It's a bit pricey, honestly. But it's a great atmosphere very friendly.

The food was great....but the pastries were incredible!!!!! I was absolutely ready and willing to go into a diabetic coma for the pastries, just so delicious! Pastry Chef Jose is an absolute master of the craft!

Insanely good brunch! Came here with a group of friends. We split some of their biscuits and cookies and all got brunch. Each dish was soooo unique and delicious. Really cute backyard space too, dog friendly. Thank you!

This place is a great place to go out on a date or hangout with friends. The food is amazing and the staff is hella friendly. Our host was amazing and gave us great recommendations.

This place does a phenomenal job. I truly do not understand anything below a 5 star rating. Our table of 6 loved every single meal we ordered and the shared pastry board... Chefs kiss. Great lates and great service!

Update: 5 years later and The Rose is still fantastic. Had brunch here and it was absolutely deliciousness. This time is was the hot fried chicken sandwich and I would totally recommend it.

We had dinner with friends at Rose Cafe and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious and interesting, the service was on top of it, from the servers to the valet. I would recommend making a reservation as it can get very busy. If you haven't been since they redid it, you should stop by and give it a shot...you can thank me later!

Nice atmosphere and lovely food. Never saw as much avocado on one toast ever.
But the place is overpriced, especially when all the streets by the restaurant are full of homeless. Spoiled my appetite
