Monarch Donuts

A friend refered me to this small Donuts shop, when I arrived here at 8 am,most donuts have gone already.Jonathan made two beautiful sprinkles for me and teach me how to do it. The donuts are amazing and Jonathan is great,thank you for giving the city more taste of sweetness!

My family and I were in the area and my son wanted a donut. Monarch happened to be the closest. Boy were we lucky enough to stumble across Jonathan and his amazing story. The passion he has, and his perspective on life only adds a cherry on top of the delicious and fresh donuts he creates. I wish I lived closer because my goodness, they were beyond great!

We are on holiday and came across this place on an early morning walk. The croissants are huge and perfectly made, not greasy or oil soaked but just perfectly moist. The donuts 🍩 are to die for, again not greasy or oil filled but perfectly cooked and so many different varieties to choose from.
The guy running the shop is a real gent, will do anything to help.
You have to get there early because this place is so popular it is usually sold out by 8-8.30am.
We will be visiting every day we are here, nothing like a fresh donut 🍩 or croissant to start the day.

What a morning i had today. I got up from bed had bad sleep and was rushing to work and then i forgot i promised my boys some doughnuts i had to stop by on my way.
He had a great energy i don’t know his name but he seemed so energetic and his energy made me feel good!!
I took the doughnuts and literally everyone was praising how good these doughnuts were and i was surprised too !!

I am staying at a hotel nearby and a couple times I had walked by The Donut Shop but never at the time that it was opened. Today I walked to the nearby convenience store and noticed that it was open so I went back to my hotel to grab cash to get donuts when I got back to the donut shop they had already closed. As I was looking for the hours of operation a man inside came to the window and opened it he greeted Me by calling me sunshine and had the most wonderful smile. He then handed me a box of donuts and said he wanted to make his heart happy. I asked him how much he wanted for the donuts and he told me no that he didn't want anything that it would make his heart happy to give me the donuts. I was so surprised by his kindness that I did not know what else to say. I just wanted everyone to know how wonderful it felt to be greeted with a smile to be called sunshine and to know that being kind to someone else made his heart Happy. He was a wonderful man the donuts were delicious and I hope that his heart is always filled with the happiness that he shared with me today. Not only did he put happiness in his heart his kindness and generosity put happiness in my heart it is not very often that you experience this kind of kindness from strangers. He is truly a ray of sunshine and I hope that he is always happy

The owner always gets everyone with respect, kindness, and friendliness. He makes THE best apple fritters! The doughnuts are soft and perfect... and not to mention, delicious! It's in a very unlikely area, but that makes it even better. His French vanilla cappuccino is perfection! Oh, and it's cash only. So make sure to stop by the bank beforehand, like I did!!

Great donuts, seriously. The raised donuts are best I've had. The Donuteer Jonathan is best you'll meet. Go early for best selection, this place is no secret with the locals.

My whole family loves this place the Donuts are amazing but most of all Jonathan is an outstanding human being his devotion to his work and the community is remarkable. Thank you for your hospitality today. You make our day!

Great, classic donuts and friendly service, but make sure to get there early.

If you're looking for new-school donuts with colorful glazes and unusual toppings this isn't the donut shop for you. If you want an apple fritter, buttermilk bar, long john, or standard glazed you likely won't be disappointed. The only standard donut type that might not satisfy is the jelly. The jelly donuts here are a sandwich - donut cut in half with jelly holding the halves together. Not bad, but maybe not what you want.

Amazing owner, down the street of where I work. So kind and cares about his customers, recommend the apple fritter as that is what the shop is known for. will definitely make this shop apart of my morning routine and telling everyone i know about this place :)

You guys have to try this place. The donuts are amazing and the owner was so nice. I was walking by and I was lucky enough to stop. I asked for the best donut, so he went inside the kitchen and grabbed me apple fritter. It was warm, and the flavor was a BOM. And not only that, but the guy gave another donut for free when I told him I was visiting from MA. He really made my day with his kindness. VISIT HIM AND ENJOY YOUR EXPERIENCE.

Love coming here the same guy is always here and he’s super friendly and has always remembered me even after months of not coming to get donuts he’ll always make coming here worth the early wake up. Plus the donuts are good definitely more fresh than most places around.

I had gone here once before a few years ago and wasn't impressed. I came back recently on a whim and wow wee what a difference! These are some really delicious donuts with a fresh taste. I get there around 7:30 and they're almost gone by then. I have had only raised donuts so far. Chocolate bar, chocolate sprinkles and I bought a white frosted sprinkles for a friend. She loved them also. There is only curb side parking and it is located between the jiffy lube and Rods Grill on Huntington Dr going west. The Baker is about as sweet as his product and he keeps a cute pic of his granny by the register.
