Villa Catrina

After the 2024 Rose Bowl Half Marathon, our running friends ate brunch in Villa Catrina. My favorite was their birria.

Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Arcadia. Great food, drinks and service (Chuy is the best who we followed from Zapata Vive). We have been coming here for over a decade and I recommend it to friends, family and co-workers. This place is also great for large groups and banquets as we held our engagement party there in 2016. I love their chicken mole, coctel de camaron, ceviche, the list goes on. Oh and don't forget their churros and deep fried ice cream. They also have a great brunch! You won't be disappointed.

This is such a great restaurant, and our experience was outside. Friendly staff, great menu options, great prices and delicious food! I loved the outdoor dining area, very comfortable and clean.

The chips and salsa were delicious! The food was ready quickly, the service was great. My empanadas hit the spot. Will go again.

Every once in awhile while on an weekend out a restaurant will totally surprise you and make a trip into an eventful and amazing moment, Case in point this evening on a last minute food choice I came across Villa Catrina in Arcadia Ca. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and seated, in what we believe was the main dining area, all we knew in advance was that food was listed a good , generous and affordable. While the tables and seating were sparse the food was anything but. We ( being my Daughter and myself) Began with chips and salsa and one of the best Ceviche we both have ever had it was amazingly fresh, and was served in a huge bowl with avocado on top in a beautiful fan. Our waiter Jose Vargas was an excellent host in explaining a few of the best choices of the evening. I ordered a House Margarita that was excellent and the Mole Poblano with flour tortillas while my Daughter was inspired and had the Mole Poblano Enchiladas. When the food arrived we were amazed... There are no skinny portions at Villa Catrina ( see pictures ). My Mole Poblano was at least 3 Full sized chicken breasts lightly shredded and smothered in the best slow cooked Mole sauce I have ever tasted..and I know Mole ! The plate was also served with a very moist and flavorful spanish rice and some great refried beans and 2 huge flour tortillas. Hands down an Incredible plate of food. My Daughters Mole Enchilada plate was along same lines as mine, 2 Huge Mole Poblano Enchiladas with a nice crema drizzled over top and a heathy side of rice and beans. The dinner was so Satisfying that we are already making plans for our next visit and cant wait to see what they suggest next.... Though The Chile Verde at a close table will probably be just what hits the spot. A definite 10/10 ...... Thank you for a great evening.

Myself, my husband and daughter love going here un Sunday mornings for breakfast buffet. They have unlimited mimosas and drinks included, they have one person doing handmade tortillas & quesadilas, another person preparing you omelets with anything you desire inside. They have multiple mexican food dishes,deserts,soups to choose from. Our ultimate best favorite thing here is there Cafe De Olla. You gotta try it!!! There staff are all completely friendly and so attentive of keeping your table cleans and re- filling your drinks. Love it here! Food looks even better then my pics. But food is so good we go straight into eating. No time for photos 🤣 I would give more then 5 stars if I could.

Another Saturday night and another solo dinner. I had a hankering for chicken Parmesan I actually thought this place was Italian ha!

I also needed a place that was showing the game I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. Although they were showing the Laker game, they had a private party at the front of the restaurant. They walked me back to another room that also had TV’s.

Extensive menu with the regulars. However they had Birria. If you never had it, you just don’t know. Real Birria is flavorful, tender, and savory. Accompanied with R&B but equally yummy. Great service and tv access.

Excelent service! Our hiking team has our annual Christmas dinner here. The food is good and the waiters are very attentive.

I ordered the chile relleno it was very good the lunch specials run around $12 a very good deal plan to go again soon

Service is always friendly and the food is always delicious. My favorite go-to is the Catrina Salad! Right now they have plenty of outdoor seating, and large portions. Make sure you stop in on a Sunday for some brunch!

We had the Buffett and was delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful and they have good variety of adult beverages. There also is a banquet room for private parties

Had their Sunday brunch!! Fresh homemade tortillas, menudo! And enchiladas were good! Definitely give it a try!

Nice place wasn't crowded probably because it was Labor Day Monday, the food was great fresh our waiter was on point and took care of our every needs. You can either order from the menu or do their every day brunch. Iunderstand on weekends the brunch has much more food to choose from. We met my brother and sister-in-law who has been here before, we're definitely coming back for a weekend brunch.

Went for Sunday all you can eat brunch. Nice selection of items and everything tasted great.

The food was out of this world. The food selection outstanding. Service the best. I will return soon. Food was that good. Family Christmas party held here this year. FIVE stars doesn't tell u the story!

Went to eat with grandparent and aunt that has dietary restrictions, they were very accommodating fast and food was delicious.

The food was great! If you are looking for great Mexican food this is your place. And the prices are good. The environment could be a little better but its the food the real reason to come🙂 they are super nice. I wish i took a picture of the food before i ate it...lol

Amazing food. Really nice staff. And great atmosphere.

I was craving cheese enchiladas at lunch time. I called and placed an order. They were super quick and ready when I got there.

I loved the enchiladas and the sauce.
