Rudy's Mexican Food

Lots of cool old white people in here and delicious food. The service was great. The food portions were awesome. The coffee was fantastic. The salsa was tasty. I’m coming back here every time I have to go to Monrovia! Thank you, Rudy!

Initially stopped by old Town Monrovia to have breakfast at Cafe de Olla but was very busy and glad we did otherwise we would not have found this GEM of a restaurant. We were promptly greeted and taken to a booth where our order was taken in no time at all. The service was amazing and the food was delicious! The 3 of us agreed that the food was prepared authentically by a experienced chef. Usually you find the food is good and the sides not so much but to our delight everything was as my daughter says, "scrumptious." We definitely left w a big smile on our faces and bellies content and will stop by again to try something new on their menu 😋 👍🏽

The food was great and the service was good and the price was good also.

Not enough start to rate tis place. Staff is wonderful, and treat you like family (the ones you like and that like you back, not the anoying relatives), prices are fair, and quality of the food is spectacular.
Not strong recommendation goes to my go to favorite the Beef "El Gigante" Burrito. This turned into my family Sunday lunch spot.

Came here today and was served by Miguel! He was astoundingly good and was so eager to have a good time with us today!!! (Edit-- came here Saturday night with a buddy and we were treated so well by all of the staff! Jesse was great as always and we had a really nice waitress named Brittany who was really fun. I asked her to partake in an arm wrestling contest but she turned me down but she was a Wonderful waitress .Thanks so much Rudy's!!!!! Muchas gracias!...)Came here last night. FABULOUS service by our favorite waiter this gentleman with fabulous hair. The chicken and chorizo enchilada I had was soooo good!! BEYOND good. Can't wait to go back! Called the night before to reserve a table for 10 people. They gladly took our reservation. Everyone was happy with food and service. Great place to celebrate a birthday lunch. Glad my son picked Rudy's. All the best Mexican food choices were on the menu.

The menudo is tasty and the legua tacos 🌮 so, delicious 😋.

Loved it. Food was high quality and delicious. A friend of mine said he didn't care too much for the food when he visited last year. That was definitely not our experience. The food and service were both great when we visited. No complaints. We will definitely be returning.

Rudy’s Mexican Food in the city of Monrovia serves great food and portion size. Got a combination plate of two beef enchiladas and a beef taco with rice and mashed refried beans, the food was good and got full. Met the owner of the restaurant Rudy, very nice welcoming man! I just visited this restaurant for the first time two days ago on Sunday by a friends suggestion, I plan on coming back to this place in the future.

Was seated in the bar. Full of screaming, running children. Parents at the bar drinking. Early teens wrangling small ones.
Food and service are always the best on the block!

I have been coming to Rudy's Mexican Restaurant in Monrovia for over 20 years. It is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in LA. Family friendly, great food, a happy atmosphere, and wonderful Margaritas! All of my friends and family living both in Monrovia and the wider San Gabriel Valley area agree, Rudy's is the Best!

We had a nice dinner outside. Surprisingly, we were taken care of very well. Thought for sure we'd be forgotten about, but they were very attentive.

Food was tasty and the chips were warm. All-in-all, we were very happy and full when we left.

My go to is the carnitas plate. I've had this mean at other restaurants and it was almost always like eating shoe leather. Not here! They are always tender and never dry.

We came in with a large group of roughly 20 after an event and they were quick to seat us and quick to provide exceptional service. The food was reasonably priced with large portions to fill you up. It was great, and I'd go again in a heartbeat!

Excellent Margaritas and service. Met the owner who was quite cordial.
5-4-22 Delicious food. Ate there around 400pm. Waiter was friendly and courteous. Early Cinco De Mayo celebration with my sister and brother in law from the east coast.Our choices were the grilled red snapper and grilled salmon dinner, chicken fajitas and steak fajitas, guacomole, salsa and chips were delicious. I recommend this restaurant if you like Mexican food.

I love the salsa at Rudy's. If they would bring me a spoon, I'd eat it like soup. Always welcoming and gracious. I've never met a bad server once. I've been going here since we moved to the area. The house margarita is pretty good. The food is good as well. Some of the specialties are where the cooks really shine.

I love how friendly staff treats u and always delicious. Very reasonable prices and if it's your birthday u eat free with purchase of other meals of course. The chefs and waitresses stopped to sing Happy Birthday to my Husband with a treat and a candle for him to blow out. So awesome.!!!

This is a wonderful family owned restaurant. Their menu is varied and everything is delicious. I've been going here for lunch for nearly 20 years.

Don't miss out on "El Gigante", a large burrito that lives up to its name.
