Hollywood Sign

I did the hike from Lake Hollywood to behind the sign, it took about 2 hours for the round trip. It was not particularly challenging in terms of length and slope but the hot weather made it more difficult. It was anyway very nice and the view from the top is really worth it despite a little bit of mist.

The hike from the Griffith Observatory to the Hollywood sign is indeed a popular one, offering stunning views of the city. However, it's important to note that it's not possible to directly hike up to the Hollywood sign itself due to security reasons.

The closest you can get is by following the Mount Hollywood Dr trail, which takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes and is 3.2 miles long. You can see the directions on Google Maps.

The hike is very tiresome, especially if you're coming from the east side of the park, but worth it. What an amazing view! I was lucky enough to see the sunset from the top! Oh what a moment!

I enjoyed the hike to go see the sign. It was my first hiking trip and I am glad I did this. Advice when you are going don’t take too much stuff. Carry light maybe just water and a yoghurt. You can refill your water but there is only one water stop. I hope they add more.

AMAZING 5.1 mile round trip, out-and-back hike to the top of the Hollywood Sign. Must mention that the last 1/4 mile or so really winded us, but wife and I are both 70 years old, and we made it! We began at the Innsdale Trailhead, and there was plenty of on-street parking available on this weekday morning.

Prepare yourself with trail maps, as there are a couple "hidden" turns along the path which he was well aware of. I've attached a few photos, one of which shows the switch-back trail below and in the distance that we hiked as we headed to the top. You can do it!

It reminds you with all the modernization in music and film industry. The hike is fantastic. You can enjoy the hike and reach to the view point of Los Angeles and the pacific ocean from the top. It is really breathtaking!

I was there last summer, and i can tell you the view is perfect. Google maps navigated me by the longer route, but luckily i find the shortest path there.

Trail duration was about an hour walking at my speed. I entered trail on Mullholland highway.

Easily acessible by car, and even metro. You can drive by metro till north hollywood, and then enter the Beachwood Canyon Dash, and he will drive you right to the hill.

Equipment needed: lot of water, drinks, bcs air is dry, and that's it.

You can see Los Angeles like your hand, and Pasadena on the way there.

The address on Google takes you to Griffith Observatory, so type “Lake Hollywood Park” in your Navigation App. But definitely worth a visit this place, and we had great weather too.

It was a very pleasant walk, we came on foot from Hollywood Blv, along Canyon Drive street right past the sign that told us that there was no access to the Hollywood sign haha! Just continue on until you switch from the paved road to the dirt track called Brush Canyon Trail. From the sign we went down via Mulholland Drive where you can find probably the best views of the sign.

Hollywood... so much fame, mystery and intrigue... You have either made it, busy making it or burnt out trying to make it... Then you get us tourist... Life sucks but you just have to tour this place of glitz and glamour. The hollywood tour was well worth the excursion and the guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining. Would love to do the tour again in the future... Summer is the best but can also be very busy... Have fun in Hollywood...

It's bit hard to get here especially I drive myself. No public facilities such toilet, you won't spent long here since only seeing the sign and the dam on South

Another check on my bucket list of things to see before I die! This sign is so iconic, I just had to stop by on a road trip LA to San Diego. There are numerous places to see the sign but for me, the best place and easy to access is Lake Hollywood park,

Highly recommended to walk from Innsdale Trail. Use alltrail app to navigate throughout the route since it’s a but confusing. With only 1.7 mi (out & back), you’ll get the closest and best hollywood sign views. Plus, you could continue walking more 1.8 mi to get to the back of hollywood sign with 360 city view of LA and Burbank. Be careful on the parking at Innsdale, it normally get crowded in the afternoon

Brought my up in my mom out here to see. The Hollywood sign definitely was a great experience. They came all the way from harford connecticut. California is a beautiful place

Amazing view and must see!!! Met a freelance photographer that took amazing pictures for tips. Driving up the mountain to get to this view was a sight to see. Drive safely because the roads are narrow.

To find this spot and experience the best view put in 3000 Canyon Lake Drive in your gps, thank me later lol.
