My kids have fun at the park the community is so nice and respectful we are going back

Great place to do any working out.

The City of Hawthorne has an excellent Recreation and Parks Department. I lived next door and enjoyed the wading pool and baseball programs for the kids. The Historic society is there now so it's another reason to go back and visit....

Used to come here as a kid and now I'm bringing my son here. Love it

Hung out there many years as a kid.

My son loved it and refused to go home. Hoping to get an apartment very close to the park so I can take my kids there always. Very lovely and friendly place to relax and have fun

Nice group of guys play pickup soccer here a few nights a week. I was in town for a board exam; I saw them playing and jumped in for an hour. Sponsored in part by the Hawthorne police department from what I was told.

I recommend anyone to go to Jim Dandy's on Imperial and Vermont and get you some hot fried chicken macaroni and cheese or coleslaw and something to wash down that nice tasty Fried Chicken a Coke or Pepsi strawberry soda and don't forget to get your dessert banana pudding chocolate cake this is Mr JW at 1:49 p.m. sitting in front of Jim Dandy eating my nice hot fried chicken and macaroni salad going by over there on Imperial and Vermont to Jim Dandy's and get you some of that hot tasty Fried Chicken you can get your four pieces of chicken for 499 I recommend anybody to go to Jim Dandy's is Mr JW and Roslyn McCormick and Goldie

Huge playground for kids to play at. Large grassy feilds to run around an play. Been coming here off an on for over 20yrs with my kids. Love this park!

I think some renovation is needed here at Jim Thorpe park . some new jungle jim replacements and add ons to existing jungle jim and most definitely basketball courts need a make over not a micky mouse and also there should be a after school program for boys and girls club. Some new led lights for the light polls also equipment. Should be made available for surrounding residents in the area with a parent id or there school id to show for rental purposes and to show kids early reasponsiblities and show there parent/ or parents they can also be responsable also new toddler swings and kid swings .new baseball equipment for baseball field .and new paint job on restrooms and new city park signs and some love to the trees pls and a thought ice ring would be pretty cool 😎 ASAPN PLS IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED...JONATHAN CORONA

How do you make a reservation for tables ?

It's a good place to chill and you can enjoy the scenery of nature and animals. But there is a lot of people that smoke in the park

This park is by my house, and it's nice quiet place to drink coffee

It was clean, fun and everyone was very respectful. There is parking and all you need is at your finger tips

It was cool no complaints from the time I was there to the time I left with me my son & dog

Always have alot of fun playing baseball here with everyone. Good park for sport activities.
