Hawthorne Plaza Inn

Thank you for helping me through every phone call, and million questions I had!❤ From the 1st phone call all the way through to check out the staff was very kind and helpful. The area near hotel felt very safe and was calm. There is a great mix of restaurants, and stores nearby. The room was spacious, bed was cozy and bathroom set up is nice for my selfie girls. All in all I enjoyed my experience and will happily return! I don't remember the 2 gentleman that helped me but they were wonderful, much love to them!

Way better than Motel 6! Loved that they had a clean microwave, fridge & coffee maker with hot chocolate packets too. Room was super clean too! Wish they improved the lighting in the bathroom but other than that recommended for a short stay! We also got our deposit back immediately during checkout.

I had a wonderful experience here at Hawthorne Plaza Inn. I asked for an early entry all over LAX area and all small and large hotel businesses wanted me to wait four to five hours later before booking. I’m glad Tony helped me get a room as soon as possible! I stayed for 2 and a half days, couldn’t complain. Very quiet atmosphere and the was clean and comfy for the price. I will book again when I’m in need of a mini vacation! Thank you for the hospitality!

Just wanted to take the time to leave this review and show appreciation to this motel for coming through for me in my time of need. The owner was so nice, respectful, understanding, and communicative with me. The rooms were nice with free wifi. Mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with hot cocoa. It was a nice getaway that I didn't realize I needed.
Come check this place out if your in the area! Love yall 💓

The guy at the front desk is extremely nice. He let me check in early and offered us food suggestions. Great customer service and the rooms are nice too!

The rooms were so clean. They have microwave, fridge, and free toiletries. Waaaay better than Super 8 motel! Affordable rooms and superb customer service. Keep it up!

Me and my family stay quiet often at this hotel . It’s nice not bad at price . And great service given at this place I come her on all my business trips and vacation trips .. the front desk guy Eddie is very professional and nice and that counts with me a lot .he’s part of the reason I keep on coming back hes excellent…

Surprisingly a really nice place to crash for the night!

The service was great, we made it in town earlier than expected and called to see if it would be okay for us to check in early. They said no problem!

The outside of the hotel could surely use some work, but you know what they say...never judge a book by its cover.

Inside, the rooms are spacious and cozy. The bed is super comfy. Rooms included some useful amenities such as a microwave and a fridge.

No soaps/shampoos at this hotel, they use a dispenser for both the sink and the shower. Not really a problem, but if it bothers you, bring your own.

Parking is free, and parking lot felt safe for the most part. When we checked in there were people just sitting in their car smoking weed which seemed a little weird...but I guess that's just LA.

Hotel is pretty close to a police station so I doubt much goes on here.

Hotel is close to just about everything you need, about 15miles to the beach/downtown.

Overall a great stay for our weekend trip.

Place is clean with helpful staff. Felt super safe since half a block away from the police station

I was referred here by a friend bragged about how reasonable and nice it was. It was actually clean. The bed was pretty comfy, the bathroom has a marble type floor, microwave and mini-fridge were descent, a small flat screen mounted on the wall, a convenient desk, and a leather seat with a nice bright lamp for reading. The towels were freshly washed with a refreshing detergent. There are plenty of eateries in the area including a grocery store right up the street. Very inviting for the money spent. I shall return. Great job guys!!!

I live in the mountains quite far away and needed an affordable place to stay before an appointment in LA. The room was nice and clean. It looks like it was upgraded recently. The receptionist was very friendly and and the bed was very comfortable - overall it was a great experience and would recommend this Inn to anyone needing a simple overnight accommodation.

This place caught us off guard. The inside is very nice and updated. Great bed and bathrooms. The parking lot is well lit and there's lots of security cameras so you feel like it's safe in that regard. I feel like it's well worth the money especially if you have an early flight out of LAX or something. I had a great experience, I can't imagine how it could be bad for anyone else, especially considering the price.

Great place to stay, well maintained and friendly staff. The rooms are good (and include a coffee/tea maker, microwave and fridge and AC of course). Housekeeping is doing a good job. For me, this hotel is underrated, as it’s located close to LAX and yet you can get to any point in LA in a more than fair amount of time (depending on traffic).
For m next trip, I’ll definitely consider staying here again.

Though I normally stay at more upscale places, I needed a reasonably priced spot to crash briefly. This was ideal. Very kind and helpful front desk. Many thoughtful amenities for a small hotel, such as coffee, tea, AND hot chocolate. Comfy bed. Pretty sink area. Not top-of-the-line but notably good and outstanding for the price.

Really good experience. I was initially concerned based on the negative reviews but it was fine in the end. Spent a week. The housekeeping cleans everyday and can be told to come back by place g a maid service on your door if you weren't initially ready. I believe they have room service and many places to eat near them. Free WiFi and parking(1 car per room). Overall liked being there

Rooms are always clean and well taken care of. Staff is so polite and helpful if any needs. For the price I didn't expect such nice, clean and updated rooms.

Booked room for a week. Staff are very friendly and curious! Rooms were better than I imagined! Clean, updated, comfortable, and nice area! Would definitely recommend staying here! I'll definitely be back on next visit to C.A!

Great deal and great rooms. I was very impressed when I walked into the room. The renovation on the rooms is well thought out and executed. USB outlets at the beds, backlit light switches, and new furniture make for very modern rooms. I wished I'd found this place sooner, I spent several nights paying more for inferior Hawthorne hotels before the Hawthorne Plaza Inn.

Nice staff ....maids clean the room so well its a powder freah scent when u walk in. Close to shops n resturants. Store onsite at the front desk. Comfortable bedding. Telephone in the room. T.v. over 100 channels. Complimentary coffee tea microwave n fridge inside even a hairdryer and basic toiletries from a toothbrush to shaving cream. Reasonable price. Not far from Manhattan beach.

I liked this place because the staff was nice, they were very reasonable and they acted in their own interests but not to our detriment. The rooms are more modern and the TV channels were very good, full cable and HBO and the office has a little shop there and it has loads of drinks, even noodles and sandwiches.
