The Diplomat Eatery and Tavern

We had a wonderful lunch here, we sat outside and it was very comfortable. We had two appetizers , Brussel sprouts and fried cauliflower, and both were very good. I had a chicken kabob and the meat was jucey and delicious. The cocktail was nice and had real rose pedals in it. There is a great selection of beer and cocktails.

This is a nice place to eat on a weekday lunch. That's when I was there. Not too busy and good atmosphere. The service was friendly and nice.

I had a bowl of the vegetable soup and a Greek salad with filet mignon. The filet was so tender and delicious. It's been a long time since I had such a tender piece of meat.

They have a great selection of whisky too although I didn't have any drinks.

Great place for a nice lunch. I plan on going back.

Amazing food and service! My first time here and I loved everything! Our waiter was nice and attentive. There’s outdoor seating and it was a nice quiet evening. Perfect for a date night or night with with family or friends. The food was delicious. Tasty drinks and the portions are perfect for sharing. If you’re looking for a Mediterranean restaurant I highly recommend coming here!

The food is incredibly delicious here. Be warned though all of the portions could quite easily feed two people. We wanted a few of the dips and they were huge portions. All in all we had a fantastic meal and would definitely come again. Lots of vegetarian options which is a bonus.

Staff that cares! Great place. Wonderful food. Seems lately customer service is a thing of the past. NOT here. The staff if Friendly, they accommodate seating requests if possible. I get cold , so not sitting outside or by the door makes for a better dining experience.
They do keep the door open for outside diners, which can be chilly for those on the inside.

They are very knowledgeable in wine selection and know how to pair well with the entrées.

One super bonus, lots of gluten free selections!!!

Fabulous Mediterranean food with one of my favorite desserts! They also make a terrific old fashioned! Wonderful selection of vegetarian options on the menu. There is indoor and outdoor dining as well as takeaway.

A very nice and ideal place to go for a drink and eat something. The food is very rich and abundant dishes. Mediterranean type meals and other classics.

Food is amazing here. The frog legs, quail, lamb chops, hummus with filet mignon, halloumi, and spicy lebni were all amazing. Clearly the owners of this restaurant understand what it takes to run a high quality Lebanese restaurant. I highly recommend you eat at this place. I am a regular and I have never questioned any plate or the service in this amazing restaurant. The fries were crisped to perfection and perfectly salted. Come check it out, have a cocktail, and you will likely be welcomed by the owner of the Diplomat.

I come here when I'm craving a delicious soup. Their collard greens soup is great. They also have an amazing selection of whiskeys.

Great food, great drinks! Make sure you try the cauliflower appetizer, it's fantastic! My favorite mojitos in Monrovia! Always enjoy coming here!

Unbelievable! Came here with some friends who recommended The Diplomat for their exquisite Meditteranean food. I couldn't believe how wonderful the meals were. I must say that the fallafels were better than what I ate in Israel! What!! Yes. .highly recommend, great service and a whole body satisfying dinner.

The atmosphere is good but it gets really loud when there are large parties. The decor is wonderful. There is also outside seating.

I stumbled upon this jewel while exploring Monrovia. The falafel was the absolute best I've ever had. I also enjoyed the red sangria. I definitely will be returning.

Portions are huge (I got the chicken shawarma) and their hummus is delicious! Highly recommend in the evenings, it’s very lively and just a great vibe!
