Amazing Small Animal Practice

I don’t really write reviews but this one is a MUST:

I can’t thank Beverly and everybody at Amazing Small Animal Practice enough for saving my baby Dotty and her babies lives. I rescued Dotty from my job not knowing she was pregnant till a month later. Mind you, I have never owned a pet nor rescued any, let alone a pregnant baby! So I was learning everything as I went. When the time came and Dotty went into labor on 12/20, Dotty was having difficulties with conceiving her babies. Ms. Beverly was advising me throughout her labor and addressed all of my concerns. Beverly advised me to take her to an emergency room immediately because it sounded like a baby might be stuck. I couldn’t afford what the other emergency rooms were asking for. Some hospitals were demanding $1000+ upfront before even checking Dotty’s condition and this wasn’t including any procedures that might need to be done!

Beverly advised me to just bring Dotty in to Amazing Small Animal Practice and told me not to worry about the money. All she wanted was to make sure Dotty and her babies were okay. They took us in pretty much at no notice at all! Turned out her suspensions were right, Dotty needed an emergency C-section along with fluids because her temperature was high. They thought one of the kitties might’ve already been gone ): but Beverly and the vet reassured me that they were going to do everything they can to make sure everyone pulls through. If I had waited any longer, Dotty’s uterus would’ve ruptured and all of them, including Dotty, wouldn’t have made it. All 4 of Dotty’s babies had to be revived and they all pulled through! And my baby Dotty was okay as well! Beverly kept me updated the entire time via text and even sent pictures 😭 When I picked them up the next day, Beverly informed me that they are all doing well and Dotty was nursing all the babies. I couldn’t help but cry because I was relieved and so thankful for all that they have done for us.

This place actually cares about animals and not just trying to make money out of desperate pet owners. The surgery and all medications were low cost and affordable! Beverly made sure I didn’t worry and kept reassuring me the entire time that they will work with me and money won’t get in the way of making sure Dotty and the babies were okay. If it weren’t for her and the amazing work she & the staff are doing at the Amazing Small Animal Practice, Dotty and her babies would not be here or I would’ve been in extreme debt. I cannot thank Beverly and the staff enough for saving my babies.
I will be looking into donating to this place because I really owe them so much. I really don’t know how to repay them for everything they have done for us. I am forever grateful for you guys. Thank you so much for being wonderful individuals and providing the upmost care. You guys are truly heaven sent 🥺🤍

We've been here a couple of times for our cats and our experience has been absolutely amazing! The staff is very kind and handle our babies with so much care. They always get back to us as fast as possible despite how busy they are.

We noticed our cat was not chewing his food normally and brought him in for a look at his teeth. We had his teeth cleaned and were educated on how to care for him since he has gingivitis.

We greatly appreciate them. Highly recommend everyone to check their website out and book an appointment!

I have taken my cat here for the last 2 years and they have always been wonderful. I am more than happy to continue taking my cat here.

I don’t even know where to start!!! This place truly cares about animals and it shows!!! While searching them up, I saw some iffy reviews (nothing in comparison to the countless amazing ones) on Google prior to taking my cat here for an emergency surgery. They said the waiting room was hectic and unsanitary- it was not unsanitary just very small and packed with pets awaiting care- and obviously with so many animals in the waiting room it’s going to smell like dog and cat? I also realized it was so packed and hectic BECAUSE the employees at this vet are working their absolute hardest to provide amazing help to EVERY animal that walks through their doors- extremely carefully, quickly, and affordably. I was in shock watching them manage dozens of customers at a time, and with such compassion and special attention. They were taking care of a high volume of pets with cases of varied severity but every single pet I saw come in and out was handled so lovingly and they communicated with the owners in such a precise and caring manner. Alia the receptionist really stood out to me- when discussing with the owners, she referred to every pet so affectionately (“and how old is the baby? When were your baby’s last vaccines?”). She was swiftly switching between cases, equally catered to Spanish speaking clients with quality care, and managed to remain calm and compassionate despite the hectic wait room. Beverly is absolutely amazing- she is such a compassionate being who tries to accommodate to your pet’s wellbeing. In the time I was there I watched her coming back and forth between managing procedures, comforting and conversing with pet owners, providing info for the guests and employees, and organizing paperwork and appointments. The other two workers were rapidly keeping all the appointments and billing in order as well as walking pets in and out of the hospital, conversing with owners, and met every interruption and curve ball with grace. I have no idea how these workers keep their cool throughout all the amazing work they do every day but they are great at it!!! Even just a pet drop off is overwhelming so imagine what they are going through being the ones dealing with it all!! Beverly from what I heard and witnessed works with so many adoption agencies and pet organizations and recognized recently adopted dogs by name! She seems to be so involved and invested! They have the lowest costs for such high care!!! I want to look into donating to this place when I’m back on my feet financially because I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for this staff and establishment. You guys are amazing and it is so obvious that you are doing all of this for your love for animals. Thank you so so so much to all of these hardworking and caring individuals ❤ I’m so grateful for everything you did for my Luna and I today!!!

This place is a blessing especially if you are low income and can't afford to pay thousands over minimal vet care. The place is small but the staff are all very caring and very kind to your babies. And this is coming from someone that had a disagreement with the owner Beverly long before I became a devoted client. I ended up getting more pets and she was the only one to be super understanding, affordable, respectful, and patient. Give them a chance

Just like the name...AMAZING. the staff are awesome, very helpful and definitely very patient. Beverly is so nice and sweet. I can see why this place is always busy. I would definitely recommend this place. Note: when going for first time, I recommend you leave your pet in the car if possible. It's crazy 1st thing in the morning. Trying to watch your pet and complete paperwork is not fun. If possible try and complete paperwork before hand. Definitely 5 stars. Thank you -Jereme n Bella

The ladies at the front desk are so patient and sweet! The doctor call you with results quickly. I got my appointment request answered quickly. It's a tiny office and they are very busy so be patient. I will be switching dog over here. I took my mom's cat here to get neutered.

Ms. Beverly Mays is the most kind-hearted, sincere, ANIMAL -and human loving GENUINE, CARING, COMPASSIONATE & HEARTFELT VET. A tremendously heartwarming person-which is VERY hard to find these days. 🙏🏽 Thank you again, Ms. Mays for SAVING MY CAT ZOEYS LIFE & also restoring my faith in humankind. GOD BLESS YOU. 🙏🏽☀

I love this place💞 i will forever bring my furr baby here when she needs assistance of any kind. my cat wasn’t able to push out her kittens on her own & she ended up losing her two babies. She was also spayed after her kittens were removed. Beverly was very kind and so was the Doctor & other people who assisted my cat. She tried bringing back one of her kittens but even though it was too late, she still tried & prioritized my cats well being. i've been to a few other places, and none were anything like this place. Other places talk more about $$$ than our pets needs. Not only is this place really affordable but most importantly, they prioritize our pets. My cat has been recovering thankfully without any complications! Thank you so much Beverly. 💖

I had a knock on my door 3 weeks ago w a woman who had a husky dumped on her after she confronted her neighbors for abandoning him for days in an apartment while they moved out. I’ve been trying so hard to get him a rescue, foster, shots, neuter- everything! Someone that worked at this location found one of my posts that was being networked and got us in FAST! When I arrived, the entire hospital were class acts w flawless operation and amazing huge hearts. Full price transparency, excellent communication. I’ve worked in vet ER for years and would love to work here if I lived closer I just loved this hospital and will be back for my own pets in the future!! Thank you for being part of what I hope is Alfie’s beautiful rescue story!! ♥🐾 -update- Alfie got the most wonderful home thanks to you guys getting us in for neuter so quickly. I cannot thank you enough 🫶🏻

Took my cat here for neutering and vaccine yesterday. My cat is doing great today. Very satisfied of their prices and their customer service. All staff were nice and handled a little issue I had professionally. Overall very satisfied and highly recommend this place. Although I had an hour+ drive, I would say I’d come here in the future.

Love this place!!! Ms. Beverly is an angel!! Helps you get your pets neutered/ spayed plus get vaccines at such an affordable price compared to other places. This clinic has the friendliest staff, I’d definitely recommend.

Kindly staff, and we quite literally saved $600 by having Amazing Small Animal Practice spay our kitten (compared to our also excellent usual vet). Kitten wasn't at all traumatized, even on day of surgery itself - and she healed up entirely by day 10. Thank you, A.S.A.P.!

They are busy yes but they do genuinely care to help your animals. The pricing is beyond reasonable and they are amazing to work with. Beverly went above and beyond to help me out.

Truly the most incredible vet clinic in LA. I have taken so many kitties to asap and have always had the most incredible experiences. Pricing is beyond reasonable and transparent. You will not be surprised with fees when you checkout like so many other vet clinics. Beverly is an Angel and runs this practice so incredibly efficiently, while maintaining compassion for every animal she encounters. Everyone at the clinic works tirelessly to see as many animals as they can. Asap truly cares about each of the animals they see and they go above and beyond to provide treatment and care for them. They do reasonably priced spay and neuter sad well as other surgeries!! They do walk in vaccines which is great. Text (don’t call) for a quick response.

Beverly is AMAZING. She always tries to help every pet and their parents in any way possible. She has a heart of gold and dedicates her life to helping animals.

Today was my first time visiting Amazing Small Animal Practice, and I have to say it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. You can tell by interacting with the staff that they truly care about the safety, and well-being of the animals in their care. Would 100% recommend to family/friends if they are ever in need of a great veterinarian.
