The restrooms are located at the entrance, i called the Sierra Madre police station to make sure that the trail was open because they are the guys that open the entrance and close down the park. The trail was hard difficulty, bring plenty of water and good hiking footwear.

I really enjoy this hike. It's all uphill with some steep hills. Definitely go prepared. Start early, however I had great weather on my side. You Definitely get a workout and you have an amazing view the higher you go. I bet on a clear day I can see forever. This is one hike you should conquer at least once.

Visited this wonderful place as a family. My son was thrilled with the wonderful views. He even drew two pictures of the places he liked best. No sooner had we left home than our daughter wanted to come back here for her birthday. We will definitely come back.

Nice little picknick area near the parking and if you keep going up you get to the trailhead to head into the Angeles National Forest / San Gabriel Mountains. Steep trail with nice views over San Gabriel Valley and towards downtown LA. Couple of benches to rest and take in the views along the way.

Really pleasant hike, and if you don't want to go all the way to the top, there are two rest points which alone are worth the view.

Great park, well. Maintained trails. Public restroom with flush toilets and running water. Picnic tables. Easy parking for 20 or so cars. Respect the neighborhood. This is next to the monastery in Sierra Madre.

I have gone to Bailey Canyon since I was a kid. I mean, for those that know, Eaton Canyon was my uphill go-to but as a Webelo I went to Wilderness Park in Arcadia so I'm familiar with the savage east. We went and sure enough, it looks much like it did thirty years + ago. Snap, I think that's the Monk place next to it and I should look it up on the inter webs but that not the track I remember it in. Pity. I wonder what it is... Anyway, it was awe some listening to my cousin from Lathrop saying how much he loves Bailey, etc etc and would go to where he'd access Hastings Ridge and go through it to get to My. Wilson Trail and / or Jennifer.

One of my favorite places to hike. Been up here many times hiking all the way to Mt. Wilson once from here. Come on up and enjoy the fresh air and views, even seeing the ocean from here on a clear day.

A lot of cool things on this trail. If you go across the bridge to the right you'll come to a clearing with a couple rope swings!
There's also a great area with a fire pit I'd love to use at some point. I had the opportunity to come here with my own wheel and use it in the trail, which was also a blast!

One of my favorite hiking trails in the LA area starts here. There is a nice little park at the base of the trail where you can have a picnic or just take in the sights of the beautiful mountains and wildlife. The park is usually pretty quiet and clean. Most people who visit this place is very respectful and considerate.

Decent hiking trail, happens to have a canyoneering/rappelling route as well. Good way to spend a day.

Great place to feel like you're away from the city. Parking can be scarce if you arrive later in the morning but isn't terrible. Worth a visit for the views!

Very steep hike with a great view as you ascend. More tha 2000+ of elevation when finished at Jones Peak. Lots of shade as you hike up.

We took a little detour today with our small group of believers, and had an open air worship service at this little park. A little group from Church of the Foothills on Sierra Madre Villa, went alfresco and enjoyed the beautiful outdoors with the San Gabriel mountains as our backdrop. We sang guitar accompanied praise songs, shared communion, and were blessed by each others fellowship. There was a sobriety support group of folks a short ways over from us. The park was a blessing for both groups, who desired to improve the quality of life for themselves and their loved ones.
Spiritual growth is availabe for anyone seeking it. With our Creator's help, all obstacles can be overcome, even mediocrity.
