I first knew of this hospital in 2021. It’s been only 3 years since, but I am still a loyal client at this hospital that sometime feels like a lifetime ago.

In 2021, I took one of my dogs here for a sudden illness. Washington Blvd. Animal Hospital (WBAH) was the 4th hospital I took my dog to in an attempt to save her life, and they are the hospital that took the time to try different procedures while having a heart. The hospital did everything in their powers, even gifting me a CT scan for my dog, to try to save her life. Unfortunately, a miracle was not in her cards, and she passed away, but it was in the loving care and arms of the staff and me.

From the moment I first set foot onto the premises of the hospital, it was Marlene, the vet tech. who greeted me with such profound empathy and I will always remember her. Dr. Chang and Dr. Voorheis who did everything they could to save my dog with so much compassion, care, and professional expertise. Dr. Voorheis has since retired, but Dr. Stephany Chang is there, and she is the doctor for my other dog (my other dog is currently being treated for complicated health issues). Dr. Chang is knowledgeable, listens to my concerns, and is innovative in her ways of treatment since the moment I met her. My other dog had her dental procedure under anesthesia, and Dr. Chang was also the doctor who performed the procedure. Dr. Chang is thorough from taking x-rays and bloodwork to make sure all is okay before examining and cleaning my dog’s teeth. I felt at-ease with my dogs under Dr. Chang’s care.

WBAH is a 40 min. drive for me without traffic. That tells you that while I live far away, I will continue to take my dog here to see Dr. Chang. I cannot speak in detail about the other doctors, but the staff has always treated me with compassion and understanding, and do all they can to get me an appointment as soon as possible.

We had to put our buddy 🐶 down the other day. 😭 The staff was very kind, very patient and the setting was very comfortable for us to say our goodbyes. They let us leave with him as well as we had our own family arrangements. Most places made this difficult decision feel like an opportunity to upsell and make it about money. WBAH did not. Thank you for making this difficult time as easy as possible.

Washington Blvd. Animal Hospital is a great facility! I highly recommend it.

Dr. Bobbitt is a caring and thoughtful veterinarian. She consistently takes the time to hear your concerns, and thoroughly explains a diagnosis and procedures. Her assistant is equally as caring, as are the staff in the reception area. I blessed to have them/Dr. Bobbitt care for my Bugsy, Clyde and Theodore.

This is an excellent hospital to have your fur babies cared for!

Washington Blvd. Animal Hospital always excels in customer service & care for our German Shepherd. They are extremely considerate of our pet's anxious nature & help us create a stress free appointment. Best veterinary service I've ever experienced! Highly recommend their care for anyone's pet!

They took very good care of my little boy recently when he was very sick and in a lot of pain. Our regular vet closes at midnight, and we took him in at 8pm. They said that it was too late to see him. My wife searched and found Washington Blvd Vet Hospital. She called and explained when was going on, they said to bring him in it's now close to 9pm and they close at 10pm. We brought him in, and Dr. Vargas looked at him within 10 minutes of us arriving. They kept him overnight giving him fluids and med's, the next day he was fine and ready to come home. Our sincerest thanks to Dr. Vargas and the entire crew that worked last Saturday night.

I can tell you I feel so good about the care I received here. Highly professional and really down to earth. I feel confident in Nalas care and I would only ever come back here. Thanks Dr and Vet Techs.

My Yorkie wasn't patient at this hospital, but he had a dental emergency. They took good care of him and at a reasonable price. He's doing so much better now. Thank you!

I can't express how grateful I am for you guys. One of the most difficult calls I've ever had to make, and you guys handled it with care, sympathy and professionalism. Memories of Melo will forever be linked to this place, but it is your guy's service that will bring me back again. Thank you for allowing me to bring him back home again.

Five stars isn’t enough! You guys were above and beyond. You were so gentle with our dog before, during and as he took his final breaths. The way you assembled his cremation trinkets and such were so perfect. I give you 10/5 stars!! Thank you so much!

Thank you WBAH, for your very thorough and sweet appointment time as we begin puppy parenthood..again. Our Milo is now 16 weeks young and truly loved meeting his Dr. Fukushima last Friday. All questions were answered and our conversation was very intentional. Milo's care has been wonderfully provided by everyone- techs, front desk and our Veterinarian. I thank especially any/all who work so hard behind the scenes to keep our pet family members safe and well cared for when we cannot be with them...you always have. Friendly staff. I tried having my pet seen on a walk-in on a Friday evening. Unfortunately they were not able to see my pet because they were fully booked with appointments and waiting walk-ins. Although I was turned away, I appreciate they were genuinely concerned and were able to give me other options. The first impression assured me I can bring my other pets if I need to. I would suggest calling 1st before walk-in.

If there is a place you never want to rate it is a funeral home or hospital, not because they don’t deserve it but because you never expect to. Today we arrived with our family dog and left without him. The staff, from joey the receptionist to Doctor Lo, treated us and our dog as if it was their own. We called ahead to verify the hours and wait, we were told it could be a 2 to 4 hour wait, we were seen in 30 minutes because of the condition of our dog. We were never rushed in any part of the process, they were very understanding in the fact that we would have to euthanize him and were very patient and kind. Thank you staff, we would hate to say see you soon but if we have to, we know who to trust!

We have been able to count on Washington Blvd for a handful of times. Their staff is kind, prompt as can be, professional, knowledgeable and cost efficient. We are grateful for this place.

They are very detailed and explain the diagnosis of your babies to the best of your knowledge so that you can understand. They are nice and treat your pets with a lot of affection so that they feel welcomed. My baby was very relaxed after coming back from lab work. Knowing that she is very anxious and scared when going to vets; seeing this made me feel a lot of relief.

I brought my 13 month old Buddy in on the 5th of November, left him overnight and picked him up the next day. My whole experience was outstanding, the wait was a bit, but worth it. 👍🐕👏 And Buddy is back to normal

We've, unfortunately, had to take 2 of our fur babies in to be put down (after hours/weekend). The staff was so patient and comforting, both times (4 years apart). Both times provided a larger room for our family to come say their goodbyes.

When we saw Dr. Chang we were concerned about our fur baby's health. Dr. Chang was great in relieving a lot of our concerns.

Best vet in town!! The vet was very negotiable I would recommend Dr. Belluz she is very caring and answers all questions!
Updated on March 1st... I love this place its really hard to get appointments but they are great here! They take good care of my pug here

My mom and I, took our little doggie (Tina Marie) here, every time she needed her vaccinations, or when whenever she became under the weather, and she/we always got excellent care, but we always felt the prices we were charged, were always, extremely steep for us, being on fixed incomes, but, we had no choice, our little doggie was a loving part of our family.
She was 105 doggie years old when she recently passed from complications of a viral respiratory infection, affecting only dogs, liquid in her lungs, and a heart murmur that had gotten bigger, that she was born with.
Unfortunately, we couldn't afford to have her cremated here, but they did offer us, and, we were able to afford, her paw prints.
