Parked on the street and made the trek in. It adds a little but you hope on a trail shortly. We did a 6.1 mile loop where we spotted some tarantulas, deer, rabbits, and coyotes. It was a bit dry and the overgrown shrubs made it for a cool hike. It’s not strenuous but there is a half mile incline with 30 min left to the hike that kicked my a$$! Looks like you can camp inside the park and you can definitely drive further in to start your hike deeper into the park. Wouldn’t say it’s a must visit, but if you’re going to be around it, I’d say you should trek it.

Happy Munchies,

Great park! Beautiful hill sides, and the mountain bike trails. With lots of trails for Biking, Hiking, you may choose to see a different view with every visit. The place is lush and breathtaking. It is relaxing to hike and the nature is spectacular. You definitely got to check this place out. If u like nature this place is a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors. The parking is 10 dollars to park inside the park. Parking can be hectic sometimes due to park getting busy and lot of people visiting. Weekends are crowded as always, but it's still pleasant and beautiful. It’s worth some good family time or great day with friends !! U have fun and lots of pictures to take with u for ur memories!! 😊 My family enjoyed it totally and kids loved doing the hike. We visit this place lot and has become our family rituals to go for hikes Sunday morning for some family time.

We visited on a day when the trails were closed because of rain, but we still enjoyed the beautiful views and the rolling hills covered with wildflowers at the end of December. The paved road winds for miles. Would like to go back when the trails are open.

There are probably three points where you can replenish water. Both are near the entrance.
(Carbon Canyon, Rolling M Ranch, Bane Canyon near toll booth)

The scenery is really beautiful, you will surely want to go far! . Prepare enough water.

Depending on the season, you may have to go through thick bushes. It's safe to bring long sleeves and gloves to cover any exposed skin.

Everything is so lush and green right now after all the rain. Enjoyed the afternoon hiking and connecting with friends. Unfortunately the dirt trails were closed and we had to stay on the pavement. We were hoping to catch more wildflowers in bloom after all the rain this season however we weren’t disappointed regardless. We did see some poppies, lavender, and yellow mustard. The rolling green hills will remind you of the rolling hills in Tuscany. I hope people continue to observe the trails closed sign and not ignore them like we saw. Our local State Parks need to be preserved and not ruined so that all can enjoy.

Beautiful park to visit 30 minutes from home. It's $10 for a day pass. The drive into the center of the park is leisurely and takes about 15 minutes if you drive slowly. There's camping which was virtually empty on the Tuesday afternoon I visited and plenty of picnic tables and scenic overlooks. Lots of hiking/biking/horse trails too.

come prepare for a long hiking trail. it was great to see so many hills, and the after rain green is good for a relaxing day. we start from the Discover center and only go for short distance and is like 2hour. remember to bring water if you will go. the area was great today, cloudy and make a cool day for hiking. we did come in for the super bloom, but we didn't go fair so. only see part of the beauty. great state park. love it and lets keep it beautiful.

A peaceful area of rolling hills, canyons, and a place to view the wildlife and plants that existed before urban sprawl spread throughout Southern California. Aside from the Rolling M Ranch camping & picnic area, the park is largely unimproved with many trails for hiking and horse riding. For me, the best time to visit is in the spring when the wildflowers are blooming.

First time coming here even though I live like an hour way, 🤣. The fee is $10 but there is a lot of trails for you to hike. I went today and there isn't much flowers yet. I did hiked the last trail as it's the farthest one and good thing we saw it cause of a car as there wasn't any sign except "parking." I didn't go all the way as it's a looong one but if you're up for it, go as you'll see some flowers. Awesome views though, it's like the country side.

The place is lush and breathtaking. It is relaxing to hike and the nature is spectacular. There's so much trail to go to but we didn't get to go to the trails because it was closed due to the ongoing rain. However the place is good for hiking with friends family and even your lover. If u like nature this place is a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors. Be ware that wild life is also present in this state park at around early evening. While we were about to go back to our to our parking lot we could hear coyotes howling. So beware of your surroundings especially in the late afternoon where its almost the end of sunset. Wild life exists and its part of nature's habitat. Don't stay too long especially when it's the end of the day just for safety.

Nice place for hiking, biking, walking dogs, camping and watching the California Poppy bloom in the Springs! The Sapphire Road entrance is popular and always busy. Most people park out side. You also can pay few dollars to park inside and enjoy the narrow lane crowded with people and 🐕. Parking spaces are limited inside. Rangers do give tickets for parking violations.

Beautiful. But, too crowded with tourists out looking for wildflower blooms and Instagrammers destroying flowers and plants.
Please note the state park rangers have placed signage along trails informing flower Destroyers to remain on trail or face steep fines.
They are strictly enforcing rules adherence including parking and trail etiquette.
Aside from that notice the park is amazingly pretty right now with beautiful green ground cover for miles, flowing creeks, and emerging blooms of silver lupine, California poppy, and Canterbury bells.
Hundreds of other species bloom later in the season so stay On Trail.

Lovely state park with great views. We got here around 10 on a Saturday morning and was worried about parking so ended up doing free street parking outside and walking in (no vehicle fee—you do have to share the road with cars but they’re pretty mindful of pedestrians). It’s not a very far walk to get to the trails. This season there were no poppies but the wildflowers were beautiful streaked across the hills. You get 360 view on the ridge. And the mountain backdrop below clear blue skies looked simply stunning. The trails we went on didn’t have many people and ended up being right in the middle of the wildflowers. Not difficult, but gets overgrown. Bring your hiking boots, sunscreen, water and a hat. And enjoy the nature!

We visited Chino Hills State Park in April. Nature looks really beautiful. I suggest nature and trail lover to visit this place in spring season. We park car at street reaching at park. If you don't want to walk lot, go with car up hill and at entrance gate pay $10 for parking. We walked as my family likes trail and walking. The day visited was partially cloudy and pleasant. If you are visiting Chino Hills State Park, you also can visit Baps Shree Swaminarayan temple, which is really beautiful and closer to park. Both together is perfect a day trip! We enjoyed nature.

CAMPERS: Just got back from a short overnight stay here and we couldn’t have loved it more. Can’t say what this looks like in other seasons but It is absolutely gorgeous during spring time.

$30 a night with $7.99 registration fee
Includes one car with registration
$5 per night for additional vehicles
Clean flush restrooms with soap dispenser
Showers with warm water
Each site includes: lantern/lamp post, grill, and picnic table. There are fire pits but they’re lock and not to be used due to the high fire risks in the area. You’re allowed portable pits that have a turn off button that uses propane.

You do get hikers walking by and driving by occasionally but it didn’t bother us one bit. They kept to themselves.

Sites are on a hill so you have gorgeous views all around. Trails are a short walk in every direction.

No cellular service but they do offer wifi. Which is both good and bad. Good for emergencies but bad for disconnecting.

Print a copy of your confirmation and place on the dashboard of your car. We forgot ours at home and when we parked our car at a trailhead for a hike we got a $71 ticket. Our fault so can’t complain. Had to dispute online.

Lastly, the park check park hours because once the park closes you can’t get in without the lock code. You’ll need to call in during business hours (M-F 8am-4pm) and get a code. Codes changes weekly so make sure to communicate with the park for details.

All in all we really enjoyed our little quick escape from the city. Only a short drive and you’re surrounded by nature.

The trails where closed because of the rain but it was Beautiful! Soo many wild flowers! If you are coming with lots of people I would recommend parking outside of the park & coming in with as few cars as possible because there is limited parking along the trails & driving around with two or more cars is not easy but there is plenty of parking at the end of the park you would just have to walk more. Over absolutely beautiful so much fun you NEED to come in spring while the flowers are blooming

Great park! With lots of trails for Biking, Hiking, you may choose to see a different view with every visit. From mountains to meadows, hills and valleys, you can find a new path each time. There is a campground, Rolling M in Chino Hills (via Bane Canyon entry/exit). You can also visit from Corona near the Green River Golf Club, and Yorba Linda at Chino Hills visitor's center, a great place to find out info and bring the kids. Garden paths on this side provide a quiet place to let them roam.

Very close to town but you feel like you are extremely remote. The only noises I heard was the coyotes. One of the best priced Rv camping I found while I was in the LA area. I will be visiting here many times on my deliveries across this amazing country we live in.

Beautiful hill sides, and the mountain bike trails are great with amazing views. You definitely got to check this place out. Parking can be hectic.. if the parking inside the park is full. I parked 2 long streets down from the entrance. It's totally worth it!
(10 dollars to park inside the park) Weekends are crowded as always, but it's still pleasant and beautiful, I promise!
