The popular recreational park. Very nice and peaceful lake with the San Gabriel Mountains in the background. Every season has its own charm. I love this park. Your dog allowed.
It covers over 100 acres and features a variety of natural habitats, including wetlands, ponds, and grassy areas with picnic tables.
The great place to visit for anyone interested in birdwatching, hiking, picnicking, jogging, or just enjoying the outdoors.
There are many points of interest within the park... a nature center for visitors of all ages, a fishing pond, and several hiking trails.

The park was peaceful & beautiful. I felt like I was far away from a big city & one with nature. It was a great experience.

Enjoy fantastic views of the park at this spring, after days of snow at the mountains. It is very rare.

Altough was windy, but the view is nice. Less people compared to popular parks on the late afternoon weekend.

A perfect little quaint park with rabbits, squirrels, a lake and beautiful view of the mountains. There are many tables and benches here. Free parking, whoo-hoo :-) The park closes at sunset. Let's keep it clean!

I use to come to this place many years ago. And I was in the neighborhood visiting so I decided to bring my son and have lunch here. After we ate we went for a nature walk and got to see the various types of ducks. Upon our walk we encountered squirrels and rabbits it was a very nice trip we had

Great place to fish for bass. Especially when water levels are low.

This park is very refreshing and has a lot to offer even though not very large. I once saw someone catch a 30 inch long catfish in the lake. 🙀it's a great place for a quick exercise and very scenic during different seasons. Has picnics areas with barbecue stands and bathroom open during operation. Good size front open space for ample parking. Have fun very near to you.😺

A lovely, relaxing respite from the city. There's catfish, carp, and bass to fish as well. They don't stock trout here anymore because the lake is too dirty for edible fish. Great for birdwatching and enjoying a sunset view near the water.

I love what they've done with the water conservation park. I moved out of El Monte more than 10 years ago, but I rediscovered this gem about a year ago when looking for a place to walk my dog while visiting family. It keeps improving every time I come. It's a great place to take your dog on a walk or take a stroll with friends and family. If you like birdwatching, this is also a great place. Recently, we spotted several turkey vultures! It's also great for jogging and biking. Highly recommended.

This park is so pretty! Love the poppies! The restrooms are well kept. Very nice landscaping. I like that it connects to the bike trail, I always see people here in the weekends, people jogging, families spending time together or bike riders exercising. It is a very pleasant, and peaceful park!

I love bike riding here. The park itself is pleasant. It's nice what different conservation groups have done to beautify the area.
