I love Chinese food and mostly go for takeout since my partner isn't into it. I was headed home from the Walmart Neighborhood Market, which took me longer than expected, so I stopped at about 1:30 p.m. Only three people were ahead of me, but while I waited, about another ten showed up in line behind me. The line moved quickly.

My order consisted of fried rice with orange chicken and barbecue pork. The portion was more than generous, easily enough for two people. The barbecue pork was a standout, perfectly cooked and flavorful. The fried rice was also delicious. However, the orange chicken, while generally good, had a slightly dry and fibrous bite towards the end.

I most definitely will go back when I'm in the area.

I downrated the atmosphere because if you're going to eat inside, you are sitting right next to the people waiting in line. Would it be better to rope them off so they stand closer to the counter?

Those glazed wings and lemon chicken are my favorite, been going here decades but haven't been in many years till now. Love it, hasn't changed, still a great hole-in-the-wall chinese food joint.

Good Chinese fast food and always fresh due to the high volume of customers. At dinner time the line winds through the restaurant and out the door. But do not fret they have plenty of staff serving and the line goes very fast. If you want something you do not see on the menu ask not everything is represented on the menu. One example is Wor Wonton Soup, they have it, not on the menu. I am sure there are others. They pile the food in the container making sure that you get plenty. Try it some time you will not be disappointed.

I've been coming here for nearly 30 years. Let me tell you, the flavor, quantity, quality and prices have remained consistent through and through making Happy Wok the best chinese food in the SGV and beyond.

This is the BEST chinese food place! You wont regret coming here. The servings are generous! The food is constantly fresh because they have a steady crowd of people coming in throughout the day.

Absolutely love this place, no other Chinese food place compares in my opinion. Been going to this spot since the early 90s. I don't even live in the area anymore, moved away in the late 90s. I live a hour and a half away from there now, but have still gone there every time I drive by that area. The orange chicken, lemon chicken and BBQ pork are extremely good. I'd recommend anyone to try it out if your in that area and you better come hungry because you will get a generous portion of food.

Gotta say, I was very disappointed...
The prices jumped up way too high....
For the same decent food yes..
But still in a dated, small, crowded sitting area.
Other similar Chinese places are at least nice to sit down at for the price...
Sad to say, probably not going to be eating here much more...I could find quick, decent Chinese take out jast about anywhere....
Gradual price increase is understandable...but price JUMPS are businesses killers!...

Food is delicious and fair prices! Very friendly staff would recommend! The only chinese food we like now! We drive 25min just to eat from there.

My parents been coming here for 30 years now, I've been having it since I was born! Honestly I haven't had Orange Chicken or BBQ Pork as good as this spot and for that same price as well. We are talking about a full meal and than some for less than 9 dollars a plate. The lines speak for themselves and word has gone out about this place for a reason, this is really the best fast Chinese food you could ask for.

It's the BEST! The tangerine/orange chicken, us the best I've ever had. The BBQ pork is flavorful and no fat, it's great. I drive 60 miles, this place is that great!!!
