Villa Tepeyac Restaurant

Was in the area today for a memorial service. A group of high school members came in for lunch. Food was excellent and considering the size of our group, we were all served pretty fast. The staff was able to take care of us all and divide the tab up between us. A most enjoyable lunch and of course the company was great even though not everyone knew one another. Thanks Villa Tepeyac for facilitating us.

We always joked, "why are you looking at the menu if we always get the same thing. " our meal was always Pozole. So many great memories. I hope the staff get hired promptly somewhere else so they can continue thier great service and I hope they are treated well there. So long old friends, till we meet again.

It had been a long time since we have eaten here. We moved to Long Beach from Covina about 21/2 years ago. The food still has the home made taste. The service is still great, Ramiro was our server and he was attentive and accurate, and is one of the best servers if not the best. We will make more of an effort to drive and have a great meal here more often.

Great food, but the ambience is fantastic. It is wide open spacing with a two great dining areas and a bar! The parking is fantastic, short walking distance no matter where you part because the parking surrounds the main entrance. I enjoy the different burrito styles they offer especially the huge Hollenbeck Burrito. The have a great chips and salsa combo and they appetizers are amazing, love the guacomole that they make at your table. I go there several times a year.

This was a good find. Although I have been driving past it for over 30 years Ans have been living up the street for about 5 years, I never stopped in. The. Last week the wife and I checked it out. It was love at first bite! I will be back soon. The veggie soup is OUTSTANDING and the enchiladas were reminiscent of an old favorite from my childhood that is no longer around. I cab hardly wait to go back.

Food was great and the staff was better. The owner even personally took our whole booth apart when my phone went missing. This is definitely a restaurant that makes you feel like family.

This was my first visit to Villa Tepeyac Mexican restaurant. I ordered a soft shell flour chicken Taco and a shredded beef Enchilada. A side of fresh tortilla chips and salsa were immediately brought to my table. Meal came with a choice of side salad or soup, and rice and beans. I chose the salad with blue cheese dressing. It was a very simple salad but had good dressing. Both my shredded chicken Taco and the shredded beef Enchilada were very tasty, hot and with the right amount of sauce. My service was fast, thorough but not pushy. All in all, a good experience, good food, good service and didn't break the bank.

I've been going here since they opened over 20 years ago. A creature of habit, I always get chile Verde tostada. However this day I got two taco lunch one chicken one shredded beef and this may be my new order. I love the salsa for the chips which is more a chile sauce. This is a great place for banquets. We have had Christmas lunches in the past here. They have two rooms. The prices are reasonable and the food has always been good.

Great place with great tasting food. Very authentic flavors and with great service. They also have two banquet rooms one with a 75 person capacity and the other with a 200 person capacity for that special occasion

We have been going to Villa Tepeyac for many years, since they opened at this location. The food is excellent, the staff provide friendly service and we always enjoy our meals plus drinks whenever we go there. Ask for Ramiro when you go, he's an excellent server. ☺

This is my favorite mexican food in town. The family owned and run business feels so welcoming and the handmade and handpicked ingredients to the food is delisious. I take all my friends and family here and they have all loved it. I even had my wedding reception there because of the great food, atmosphere and service. Be sure to treat yourself to the table side guacamole!

Service was absolutely great!!! The staff was very nice and professional (especially because they're all very young), the food was excellent! Will be back again!

Food was excellent. I especially enjoy the different soups at this place. You can also plan to take some goodies home, such as cold cuts, salads and fresh bread and pastries.

The food is ridiculously good here. I was told they're known for their ceviche but I didn't try any because I wasn't that hungry and wanted to pick an entree to eat. Maybe next time! Arroz con Mariscos - holy holy ...this is amazing. If you like seafood and that snugly sleepy feeling you get after eating good home comfort...

My family has been coming here for years. Consistently the best Mexican food, great service, family owned and the best homemade salsa I've ever had. The carnitas is perfect but also recommend the milanesa, carne asada, and chile rellenos. I'll be back and highly recommend!

Love the food but the ambiance is excellent, the bar tenders are even better. Ask for Adrian in the bar he will definitely, will take care of you. Eat the great food and enjoy the moment, Everyone is awesome. ⚽🏈🏀⚾🎾🏇

Truly in the middle of a residential neighborhood with NO BUSINESSES anywhere around, this restaurant has been here for over 23 years, and for good reason! Much larger than it looks, it features truly authentic Mexican food at extremely reasonable prices! Pop in on Tuesday for Mole, or on Friday for Lengua (tongue) my favorite. Posole available every day, the service is friendly, attentive and timely. I ordered a plate with a Carnitas soft taco, Chile Rellano and Enchilada. Came with rice and beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, and exceptional vegetable soup with veggies bigger than the spoon! Fresh chips and salsa with just the right amount of heat... Cost - $13 I will definitely be back!

We have been coming to this restaurant for more than 20 years. Service is amazing. Atmosphere is relaxed & staff are very friendly & always greet you.

Delicious as always. Had the taquito plate. Cant go wrong. The owners are super cool people. Glad i had the opportunity to have met them.
