Great hike. Mostly level hiking. Some incline in the beginning. Crossing the water without a bridge was a challenge. Saw multiple people end up in the creek. Not deep at all, but it was cold that day, so the water was very cold.

It took us about three hours but we explored Century Lake too. I think it's a little over two hours round trip.

Plenty of parking in the lower parking lots. Restrooms at the parking, but not on the trail.

Very popular, as you would expect.

Very well worth the hike.

Dream come true hike as a life long fan of the show. Advise early morning trek for better lighting for photographs, and less people. If the seasonal bridge is out, you'll need to get creative to cross over the creek. Take care to read posted notices at the trail head.

Super cool door if you know the series. Nice easy hike with one water crossing to navigate. Saw a skunk.

The MASH production site is really neat! The hike to the site from the Cistern Trail/Lookout Trail takes about 45 minutes and can get very muddy if you come right after it has rained. The day I came, a lot of the trail was washed away from the rising flood waters, however it wasn't too difficult to find the way. There are information plaques that tell you more about the site and it is definitely worth a visit! I even saw someone here on horseback so I believe the trail is accessible for horses as well.

MASH was before my time but this trip was soo much fun. The surrounding mountains and scenery is gorgeous. I rode my mountain bike and was able to hop around rather quickly. I’d recommend the bike if you ride. Lots of trails nearby too. (They are mostly hard/black though) .. I will 💯 be back!

It's a cool place. If you're coming here expecting a ton, there's not. There's two vehicles, a sign, and some informational signs to read. If you love MASH though it will be worth it. It's a beautiful hike to get to but make sure you bring water because there is none after you leave the parking lot.

I did a 6.1 mile loop here on February 28, 2021, you can see my trail recording on the Alltrails app, just look up my name and please follow me for more fun trails and my reviews.

Cool hike, nice place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. After I left this site, I hiked the Lost Cabin Trail, then followed the creek to the Rock Pools. There we're a bunch of rock climbers, which was really cool to take a break and watch. You'll have to do a lot of boulder hoping (something I love doing) and then strip down to the undies and swim across the pool to pick up a trail back. I'm glad I did this, because the other option (scaling the side of a rock wall) that my buddy did was longer and he ended up falling into the water and getting wet anyways.

If you are interested in joining in any hikes, you can find my hikes on the "Meet Up" app under the group "Five Miles or More Hiking Group" with the times and places I'll be going. Enjoy your hiking.

At a good pace we got from the parking lot to the M*A*S*H set in about 40 minutes. It was a easy hike with only 1 hill, the rest is mostly flat trail. The site is in really good shape. The ambulance was last restored in Nov 2020. It was a very special moment for us as I grew up watching the series and still watch it to this day. The landscapes are very recognizable, and the signs in the camp show you where certain buildings were compared to where you are standing.

Its hard for for me not to give the MASH Set 5 stars. The hike was a moderate hike. I could picture scenes of the show while sitting in the middle of the set. The set is smaller than I thought it would be they had some great camera angles!

Absolutely beautiful trail. Will likely take 2hrs and 15 min to get out and back but there is a dam, stream, hills, flowers, etc etc etc. The actual set is fascinating and curated with a listing of props and what the set looked like by location back in the 70s. Didn't even watch MASH back then (wasn't alive) but gained a new appreciation.

Great hike! Mostly flat, about 5 miles round trip, although there is a stream crossing due to a washed out bridge, but relatively easy. A refurbished MASH ambulance is available to explore and take pictures in. There is even a phone holder on a pole so your whole group can get a picture in front of the iconic MASH cities sign.

Worth every second of the hike in, especially if you're a MASH fan. Beautiful scenery. Amazing memories.

Located in the heart of Malibu Creek State Park, the M*A*S*H Hike is a fun #GoHikeIt back into old Hollywood. The hike traverses through the heart of the Malibu Creek State Park & Santa Monica Mountains to the set of M*A*S*H, a popular 1970s & 1980s television show about the team of Army doctors during the Korean War. The television show ran for 11 seasons and over 250 episodes were created with many of them filmed in the Malibu Creek State Park area.

The hike is relatively flat and a good entry level hike hiking adventures for families or new hikers. There are also picnic tables at the set area, which makes for a perfect picnic hiker or area to relax and rest.

Great hike in and out is around 5 miles. The hill towards the start of the trail is a bit rough for those of us out of shape, but once you are past it, the hike is very nice. Scenery is beautiful and the lizards are fun to watch scurrying around.

I did a hike to M*A*S*H Site on 07th April 2019. It was not easy because the bridge is not existing anymore. But... the place is still in a good condition and it was worth every bead of sweat! If you hear that all burnt down... no: it's still a hike worth! Also the Helipad is in real good condition.

Park at the Grasslands Trail Head (free) and walk about one hour to the MASH site. Absolutely worth the walk.

Cool area to explore, not a hard walk. Can get hot in the summer, bring extra water.

If this were a 10 star rating , I would give it a 20. Out of my norm to hike 5 miles up and down a mountain and shimmy a log to get across a creek, but I am so glad I did as it is the experience of a lifetime for a MASH fan. Greatest part about it, I did it with my wife as this was tops on her bucket list.
