The GAIN program is a great program if you do as you are told. The tax payers are very generous to fund an agency that pays for college, books, and fees. Of course, you have to do certain things to stay compliant with the program. The rules are in place to ensure your success. As with any Government office, some workers are component and some are not. If you have a worker who is not serving your needs, talk to a supervisor.

Great place to receive all types of assistance for families and individuals in need such as child care, counseling, and job training to name only a few . Very friendly and helpful staff.

These people are not qualified to do simple IRAs 5498s and will send you to another vita location.

After telling you to be there at 8 am on Saturday morning, they tell you they aren't qualified!

Try Hsi Lai University near montebello.

Beware: they offer vita free tax services but do group appointments so you could be waiting for a while.

Make sure to go the correct door correct address or you'll be waiting and waiting and waiting and door will not be present.

HAVE social security card or they will turn you away, if married spouce MUST be present. If have kids MUST have their ssn and id if old enough.

The receptionist who was there today was rude and lazy. She didn’t bother to check if someone was in just said they stepped out when they were not in office. Had such an ugly attitude too don’t know why they have that working here for the public.

Bad experience with Gain Development Center in El Monte they don’t know how to place people in a job site everyone has a different path in their life career from a teenager, an adult, single parents etc.... today in a specific person Elena Lopez did not knew how to handle an adult issue she took things personal stating I had a problem with her and is not true she had no other choice than to step me out of the office, very rude of her and unable to solve a simple problem, she does good presentations and she helps others with their resume, but not good for recruiting/hiring And that’s the point of people going to that office, she also stated I was being negative 👎 she needs to know how to handle with different people, attitude etc...GET WITH THE HIRING PROGRAM lots of people going through difficult issues that’s why we’re their HELLOO
