Katella Bakery, Deli & Restaurant

I've seen this place for a few years, finally decided to give it a try. I didn't see it before the remodeling but right now it's beautiful. It looks fancy and clean. There's a few areas inside the restaurant and as far as I could see, all of them looked pretty. Our waitress was great. Food came out hot and tasty. Prices mostly start around $20 but there's a lot of options, and for the food quality and quantity I think prices are fair. They also have a bakery with customizable cakes. They also have a coffee area which seems open during morning hours. Will definitely come back. Extra points for having a family restroom.

At first I impressed with the look of the restaurant, it is so beautiful and charming building. It was more impressive when I go inside. Me and familly tried some pastries and all deliciuos. Try corned beef sandwich, very recommended!

I stop at Katella’s at least once, while in the area and visiting Southern California, as I love their huge selection of baked goods and I like their food as well! Clean, good service, good Kosher food, and a family friendly atmosphere. Fresh sandwich breads, and known for their pastrami sandwiches, Matza ball soup, and knish! Meatballs are also homemade and delicious! If you like a really good old school cherry, peach, blueberry, or apple turnover, they have one of the best I’ve had outside of home! Fresh baked goods and breads daily is key for me and clean good homestyle scratch food brings me back all the time😋🥰👍🏼

My boyfriend William and I had a wonderful time here. The food was so incredibly delicious and it was a really fun treat to go through the bakery afterwards to get our dessert. We both got a sandwich he had the pastrami and I had the steak they were both incredibly delicious. We also split latkes and blintzes both of which were very good. The serving size was very generous and we left full and with stuff to take home. We will definitely be going again this will probably become one of our favorite places.

If you were looking for a really fun place to get a delicious brunch this is definitely a spot I would recommend.

I haven't tried the whole menu here, but the sandwiches are always great, breakfast options are good, and my wife loves the matzo ball soup.

Can't leave here without stopping at the bakery for a cupcake or some cookies either.

Came here on Thanksgiving morning to have breakfast with my best friend who lives in Orange County and I’m glad he recommended the place. It was packed on a holiday morning and I understand why now. The newly renovated place is gorgeous with designs that keeps it looking classy but casual. What’s more impressive is the huge selection of pastries and sweets which I have to come back and try. The place is very spacious with classic options to sit at the counter as well as plenty of table seating. Did I also mention there’s a full bar area! Anyways, this place is known for its pastrami sandwiches so I had to check it out. The pancakes didn’t disappoint either. Overall, a very impressive experience and I will come back. Do yourself a favor and visit this place if you’re in Orange County, it’s definitely one of a kind.

Amazing FOOD, amazing BEVERAGE, amazing ATMOSPHERE, and amazing SERVICE. BRAVO! A great little place to grab breakfast, lunch, and even BRUNCH! HELL YEAH! Their pastrami is to DIE for and all of their other menu items are KILLER as well! To top it all off, their menu is AFFORDABLY PRICED! If you have the opportunity to patronize this establishment, PLEASE DO SO!

Incredible place with tons of fresh options for food, drinks and baked goods. Everything we had was incredible. Order something to go or sit down and you'll be very happy. They don't have reservations though so there may be a wait for a seat so come earlier than you expect to be seated.

First time trying Katella Deli, and it was fantastic! I ordered Chicken In The Pot, which is a lovely, clear chicken broth with a nice big matzo ball, a kreplach, noodles, chunks of white meat chicken, and veggies. It came with different breads slices, and butter on the side. It was so good, I forgot to take the picture before digging in. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, and inviting. The service is well above average. Our server, Marina was incredibly attentive, refilling our drinks and checking on us regularly throughout the meal. The bakery must NOT be missed! We got cake slices, and cookies to take home, but haven't tried them yet. Still too full from our delicious dinner. Overall, it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a very long time, and look forward to returning! Thank you, Marina!!!

Me and my husband had a lovely salad and sandwich that we shared at the bar. That was amazing!! We love people, watching at the bar had a vodka gimlet that was tasty . When we left, we stopped by the bakery picked a couple of slices of cake. Celebration blue cake is yummy but the real star is the double fudge chocolate cake I could kill somebody for another slice yummy!! 🤤 ❤❤❤❤🤓👅🥰

Katella Deli is a family favorite and I make a point to eat here every time I'm in OC for a visit. Sometimes you have to be patient to get a table at lunch time but it's worth the wait. The corned beef, pastrami, and other meats in the sandwiches are all great. My sister and mom had the southwest chicken salad and it was very good. They have the best kosher dill pickles.

This Bakery, Deli & Restaurant, is a must! Great customer service, delicious everything, worth every cent and such a gorgeous ambiance. I highly recommend.

This place is awesome. Food is delicious! Drinks are well made. Decent IPA's on tap, too. I've been here about 5 times in the last 2-3 months and will continue to return. The bar staff is super welcoming and fun. Morning waitresses can be a hit or miss; taking a while to come back around for additional requests or to leave / pick up the bill. I highly recommend breakfast and lunch. Haven't had dinner here yet, but I look forward to it soon!

My first time here and was blown away from the moment I walked in! Beautiful decor, clean as if not more cleaner than a hospital. From the beautifully laid out bakery to the casing with the sides, to the cafe to the beautifully decorated and arranged bar, this place is a show stopper. Now let me get to the service. Victor served our table and was polite, smiled, and patient. We got our delicious food in a timely manner and it was arranged beautifully on each of our plates. I got the pastrami Rueben at it was simply mouthwateringly delicious. And the onion rings! My god. Crispy, full of flavor. Definitely will be back to this amazing restaurant/deli.

Although it's famous for its breakfasts and lunches, I love their salads! I had one of the best Cobb Salads ever there.

I got to choose the location for lunch during our summer staff meeting. Since I wanted a good impression, I choose this place.

I haven’t been inside since the remodel but it’s gorgeous inside. They did a great job updating everything. It’s a bit noisy with the open floor plan but beautiful atmosphere.

We did have a bit of a wait for a table for 8. We got there at 11:30am and there were a ton of people waiting to be seated. They do NOT take reservations.

It’s funny that we had 8 people and 6 of us ordered a salad of some sort. They all looked delicious and I ate every bite.

They have a decent size menu and lots of options. Can’t wait to go back with my friends!

Price of this menu was a little burden to me.($17.99)
However, I had just one bite, I thought this restaurant deserved this price. Really extreme taste.

We haven't been here in years because we moved out of the area. Boy have they changed!!! The remodel is definitely a step up. We had the best sandwiches we had in a long time. Our server, Luz, was lovely and attentive. We will definitely be back next time we are in town especially for the California Club sandwich. It was fabulous!!
