After I pick up my wife work we were very hungry and my wife was craving for caldo or soup then I remember a friend told a restaurant on Las Tunas Dr in San Gabriel. He have been going to the restaurant for years he told me the food is really good then my wife and I headed to the restaurant. We arrive at the restaurant and looks old traditional restaurant from Mexico that I remember when we to Mexico.

We got seated right Way the interior have classic look that we like then waiter came and hand us the menu and ask us our drinks order my wife order a Hibiscus drink then I order a Mexico coke bottle. Then we order my wife order the caldo de Pollo or chicken soup and also order a bean and cheese burrito then I order a Chili renello plate one of my favorite dishes.

Then the waiter brought our food it looks and smell really good. I took a bite of my chili renello it was really good lots of flavor in the chile and also the sauce and especially the cheese it was good and chewy that's the kind-of cheese I like. The rice and beans were full of flavor that I really like and comes with a salad with avocado on top. My wife enjoy her caldo de Pollo or chicken soup also comes with freshly made tortillas. We enjoy our meal at Casa Callderon we need come back again.

I used to come here back in 1980. There are new owners and the food is more authentic. Handmade tortillas in quesadillas are absolutely wonderful. Homemade nice and spicy salsa.

We had the birria tacos 🤤 beef tacos dorados 🤤, flautas 🤤 and Micheladas 😋 todo estuvo DELICIOSO! Every time we come order something different and nothing disappoints… eggs with nopales 🤤… churros, flan, EVERYTHING delicious.

Super excellent service. Restaurant got new ownership about 7-8 months ago. Food is authentic. Vibe is chill. Totally recommend for families of chill. Nice and quite spacious.

The food was good and the customer service was excellent. There is a small parking lot that is shared between two restaurants but i found parking. I brought my disabled son here on a wheelchair to come eat some lunch and was able to get his wheelchair in through the door, the server was nice to open the door for us when leaving. It was definitely a very nice experience and i cant wait to bring my wife here to eat when my kiddos go back to school. Cash, debit and credit from master card and visa are accepted here.

When it came to the food, my son got 4 tacos and i got a burrito. The food was very good. The only thing that tasted a little stale was thw tortilla chips that were offered to us as we waited for our meal but other the. That. I am very happy with my experience today. Having a son on the autism spectrum and on a wheelchair has always been a challenge for me when it comes to restaurants.

Im definitely coming back.

Great food and atmosphere. My husband brought home some ceviche and it was so good. We'll be back. Be patient with the staff as they are short staffed.

I am learning to try new places to eat. Walk in not very presentable but I will take that back. The food was delicious. Freshly made and the chili was hot and spicy. Usually we have to ask for hot salsa. Chile Verde outstanding. Sope was made the way I like it. Appetizers plate was enough for 5 or 6 people. 5 stars for me. We will be coming back

Always a good place to come for Mexican food. Their margaritas are a bit different than the usual, but tasty.

Nice dining experience, I recommend you take someone you love out to eat at this wonderful place. Enjoy the atmosphere and the "pleasant family owned" environment that you don't usually get at most "food chains".

I was very excited to try this restaurant for the very first time now that they are open at a convent time of 6AM. Perfect for a guy like me who just got off a graveyard shift. The place seems to be under new management. Being the first customer of the day, I had the pleasure of getting to meet the proprietors of this place and they were very nice people. They seem very eager to deliver a personal level of service and eager to listen to honest opinions that can help improve the level of service and quality of food to the level of the customer's total satisfaction. I enjoyed the service and food during my first of many future visits. The owner said something that really impressed me before concluding my first vist.. “Come back, consider this place like your home!” I highly recommend that you try this down home restaurant and give them your patronage, honest feedback to make it successful in making it your hometown restaurant like I have just done. It is very hard to find places like this, who deliver such great and a personal level of service .🤠👍

Amazing tasty Mexican food! Service was great, very polite and thoughtful with customers. Mr. Luis came to our table to check that we were happy with their service and food. I'll be honest that is going to be my morning breakfast place from now on.

This is a great Mexican restaurant. Today I tried the Wet Burrito and it was wonderful - the meat was very tender and the vegetables were very fresh and cooked just right. The churros were crispy on the outside and just right on the inside. The strawberries on the inside were complimented by the chocolate drizzle on the outside. The coffee and the ice tea were very good. The service is very professional and friendly. Try this place - you will love it. David Ganser

This place is really nice I came in today for the first time to order some menudo and enchiladas to go but I'll definitely be coming back to dine in for sure as it was so cozy and welcoming the young gentleman taking orders was very polite and attentive and the food was delicious thank you for the service your new local customer Daniel castillo

Unexpectedly absolutely delicious! This was the most fresh, delightful meal. The salsa, the beans, all of the food was so good and fresh! Try these guys out. And the service is so friendly.

Love this place, super yummy food to a super price

The decor is maybe 40 years old. The food is mouth watering delicious comfort food made with love. I'm not real big on enchiladas, but the homemade sauce is amazing. Highly recommended!

Ate here this noon, for the first time, with a dear friend who's been eating here for years. WE WILL BE BACK! The ladies has margaritas (delicious); I had Eldorado Burrito ... amazing ... our friend had chili rellenos and my wife had tostadas - all done just right, flavored wonderfully and served tastefully. The owner, Linda, is terrific ... waiting on us, chatting, and seeing to it that we had what we wanted, with a wonderful smile and a warm heart. Steve, also prompt with chips and a great tasting salsa, whose artwork adorns the walls. And, don't miss the rubber duck collection.

Great atmosphere, owner, employees and food. The owner, Linda, is a sweetheart. If you are looking for delicious Mexican food in a place that makes you feel at home, this is it! Must mention it's cash only but there is a 7-11 with an ATM down the streets.
