Pursue Coffee

On our way from San Diego to LAX, we needed coffee and we searched for local coffee houses (no Starbucks!). With a 4.9 ratings and over an hour to spend, we gave this place a try.

5 stars all the way from coffee to service to ambience. I would even give all the patrons here a 5 stars also. They greet most of their customers by first name basis. Clearly lots of local repeat business. And their pastries ? Made in house. Such a nice vibe all around. Just wish I lived in the area. 🥹

They weren’t kidding about the vanilla bean latte! Delicious. Matcha latte with oat was amazing too.

Such a lovely place to get a coffee and snack. Owned and operated by kind, hard working people - it's the ideal place to support small business.

The London Fog beverage is my favorite: early grey tea, your choice of milk, and a touch of vanilla - it's heavenly. But all of their coffee beverages are delicious, and I really like their breakfast sandwich and pastries too.

This place has a wonderful community feeling and it's impossible not to smile when you walk in.

What a lovely coffee shop! I have spent a lot of time traveling in Korea I instantly feel transported to the beautiful minimalistic cafes of Seoul serving incredible coffee. Their food is also great - so far I have tried the basque cheesecake and breakfast sandwich with house apple jam and both are to die for. My only complaint is I live 25min away from this shop! But I will always be sure to stop by when I am in the area :)

I love coffee and the attention to detail they put into coffee is wonderful. I have never seen someone weigh an americano to make it the right proportions but they did. Delicious espresso selections.

This cute little spot has the most amazing vanilla bean latte. The banana bread is moist and perfectly sweetened and the financier was the perfect compliment to the coffee. I’m so excited that I found this gem. Parking is tricky and the line can get long but all good things are worth the wait.

Pursue is: superbly managed and clean beyond reproach. Their food is gourmet and the baked goods are out of this world! David is an absolute pleasure - he has a keen eye for attention to detail. His service is second to none and always with a smile; he remembers my name and order each and every time. He is an incredible barista! Sujin is a Bib Gourmand chef.

I highly recommend Pursue for the best coffee, baked goods, and dishes in South Bay.

Great coffee and amazing service. When I received my dish I realised I mistakenly ordered the banana toast instead of the banana bread. The person at the counter was so nice and gave us a slice of their amazing banana bread for free.

We’ve got 5 drinks for our big group and every drink was amazing. And a chocolate cookie that I’ve got for myself 😅

This place is excellent. The nicest owners, homemade baked goods and chai lattes. Their coffee is excellent, all is good when you know the owners truly care about their customers and providing a great service. I really appreciate this local gem.

The best mocha I have ever had!! Really great natural flavor and perfect foaming on top! Quality customer care. Clean and comfortable environment. Loved it!

David and Susan do such s spectacular job of recommending drinks as well as creating such a comfy place to enjoy your joe!!! Susan recommended I put some cinnamon on top of my mocha and I can't stop licking my lips from the great flavors!!!(who woukd have thought cinnamon with a mocha?!) They also use real ingredients making no chemical taste, just how I like it!! So excited for a great local spot right across the street to enjoy a nice morning! 😄😀

Wonderful new addition to the South Bay: Pursue crafts coffee with excellent beans and a lot of love/attention to detail. Outstanding flat white, too. The owners clearly take pride in their charming place. Excellent tea list and artisan pastries.

Delicious coffee and tea! Yummy sandwiches. The old man serving was very welcoming, polite, and caring for our order. A lovely atmosphere with quiet music inside. Really enjoyed our breakfast!

Such an amazing experience! The banana bread was freshly made in store and my matcha latte was absolutely exquisite! The people are so kind and talented- many thanks to Natasha for that extraordinary latte art on my drink!! I'll definitely be back, I'm officially a fan 💜

Wow! Got two different pour overs and an Americano, everything was fantastic. Really knowledgeable staff and great vibes. Would highly recommend!

Nice little coffee stop! I ordered a turmeric latte and it was nicely made from scratch (instead of using the sugarized instant powder). Parking could be 'tight'

I don't see London Fog offered at most coffee shops, so I had to order it and was just blown away at how exquisite it tasted. They make everything by hand and it shows. They even take the utmost care in gently placing the drink on the counter. My drink was piping hot, but drinkable - it was the perfect temperature. The flavors and creamy texture were just divine.

Parking is a bit tight for anxious drivers, but it's worth it.

The perfect little coffee place. Might be my new favorite spot in the South Bay. Coffee was fantastic and service was even better. Will be returning. xx
