Ramona Elementary School

I attended ramona briefly, 2nd & 3rd grade. the memories I made will last a lifetime. Mr. Fox is an amazing, dedicated, and funny teacher! And well years later after I've grown up and had a child of my own, it surprised me that my little brother ended up having Mr. Fox as a 5th grade teacher... lol my brother and I are 12 years apart...but I thank him for his patience and guidance with my little brother...we still talk about my little brother winning the math olympians in 2007 alongside Mr.Fox... :) ... Ramona wouldn't be such an amazing school if it didn't have teachers who are as amazing as Mr.Fox!... lol thank you for sending me to the nurse for "coodies" when alex kissed me in 2nd grade! ;) .. because of you..I STILL say "smarties" candies are coodie medicine!!! #stayawaycoodies #mrfoxisAwesome #myHero

My first son went into that school, and i observe about it was the teachers are exelent they realy helpfull. The school all around, were great. Well this is a few years back.

It's the best school because the principle is respectful and the teachers are too

I went to Ramona in 2008 and graduated in 2012 well the school is ok however there were some teachers who didn’t cared for there students next we had a strict principal that a friend told me in 5th grade that when he was sent to the principals office he threw a stapler at him and one time in 5th grade 1st semester I was sent to Mr. Hums office he slam his table so he can get a response from me cause at the time I was nervous to tell him the incident that happened with me and a other student and said to me I would get detention after that incident how can you get detention after a first incident? Well Mr Hum was very strict with the school oh and Mr. Hum was the principal during my time at Ramona and after I graduated from Ramona the new principal that is currently at Ramona took over his position after he left Ramona.
Secondly, this is a positive statement the lunch food there would formerly serve was great they would serve Spicy chicken wings, lemon pepper chicken wings, pizza, chulpas, chesseburgers, non fat free chocolate milk, strawberry milk, corn dogs, French toast, a breakfast bowl of eggs, hash brown, and bacon but this was during my time as a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grader. Third statement, Mr Hum was strict but was also chill because sometimes he would let me borrow his iPad and MacBook, in 4th grade I had this math and science teacher named Mr. Gazharian was so chill with us and would put awesome videos, and in 5th grade I had this math teacher named Mr. Fox he was funny and also strict he would yell at us if we were loud and I miss having those teachers.

I went here as a child therefor I sent my own children here but I honestly regret it so much. This school does not promote culture what so ever. Everything is repetitive every year with the Christmas play and Halloween parade. Other religious holidays should also be presented to the children since only celebrating Christmas shows children who do not yet understand that only Christmas is celebrated and completely disregards other holidays. There is this one lady in the front office with glasses and brown curly hair who is completely clueless. She does not understand anything and everything has to be repeated to her followed by putting it in even more simpler terms. I've had about three or four instances when I had to be called regarding my child to be picked up and I was NEVER called. They never called me or any of the other phone numbers that were provided. I was shocked that they wouldn't even take the time to look at my children's and niece's folder to call one of us. Look this review isn't coming from someone who just doesn't like this school. I loved it when I was their and I love the teachers that my children and niece have had the honor to have (most of them anyways) and my daughter first started at this school three years ago but I am moving them for the next school year. I am not proud of this school and when I think back to when I was enrolled here, I realized how much they failed me educationally as well.
