This is a great local gym. I appreciate they have early morning fitness classes that I can attend before going to work. If you are like me and find it difficult to stay motivated at a normal gym, Peak 5 Fitness is the place to be. Their classes are fun and the members help keep everyone motivated/accountable.

I also like supporting small businesses.

Really like all the staff that I’ve met! I have taken the majority of my classes with Maria. Maria is very strict on form and she coaches you as any serious coach would. As a former athlete, who has had injuries in the past, I appreciate her approach.
Pete will challenge you and is light and fun with his work-outs.
Chika is very personable and is authentic when approaching you.
Overall, peak5 is a warm environment and does not have a bro-ish or intimidating culture.

Peak 5 Fitness has changed my life and the way I look at fitness. On the surface, Peak 5 is a chill East Hollywood CrossFit gym. On the inside, Peak 5 is a diverse community of people dedicated to building their health and fitness through CrossFit with a focus on core strength exercises. The coaches meet you at your level, while still pushing you to achieve what you’re capable of in each session. Of all the gym memberships I’ve started and stopped over the years, this has been then only one to stick, and I’m sure glad it did!

Have been to a lot of gyms in LA and this one has by bar gotten me the most motivated. Trainers are attentive and great about correcting form while keeping your spirits high. I can already see a difference in my mentality around fitness in the short time I’ve been a member. Support local businesses!

Peak 5 Fitness is not just a cross fit box but a community niche to share your health goals related to health , fitness, mental well being. Here your individual strength is considered and fitness program is structured accordingly. Based on this you don't feel left out. Idea of the coaches here is for you to Show Up. I recommend this box to everyone who value fitness and community.

I never stick with a workout. But, I've been going to Peak 5 for over a year and not only has it helped me, but it feels like home. The owner, Pete knows every member and their goals. He cares about your success and gives you every tool possible you need to succeed. The workouts are tough and have pushed me in ways I didn't believe possible. I'm stronger in body and mind. I love my classmates. I have never been more encouraged. No competition attitudes here. I couldn't reccomend this place more. By far the best gym I've ever been to.

Writing this review while still in quarantine due to covid-19. My sister and I started coming to this gym sometime in January 2020 and from the very first class, we were in love! There are different trainers/coaches and there are many classes to pick from so whether you are working or a student, there is probably still availability for you to take a class. They also have group activities on Sunday’s which we have not been able to participate in but I’m sure they are great. Again, amazing classes! Great people and this is coming from someone who once strained their wrist after picking up a pencil. The trainers make sure that you know what exercises to do and they really do take their time to show you how to properly do the exercises. My sister and I had previously attended another kickboxing/cross fit gym but it didn’t feel as “home” as this place.

Remember to take consideration of how businesses especially small businesses run during covid-19 and I want to give a huge thanks to everyone here because even during these tough times, the trainers have been encouraging everyone in the gym to continue working out at home or at a park which is great. They have zoom classes and other methods to help those stuck at home to continue working out and I truly appreciate that.

5/5 starts because I cannot rate higher. This is truly a gem of a place filled with great people AND THERE IS PARKING!!!!!!! Not to mention, a place where people actually know your name. Special shout out to Pete for keeping everyone motivated but overall, thank you to all the wonderful coaches here! Hope to see you all as soon as this is over!

I’ve been coming to Peak 5 since 2019 and it’s truly a great community of people. The trainers are very attentive and knowledgeable, in particularly Mariya. She’s an incredible trainer who goes above and beyond the pay grade.

Peak 5 is a place for those looking to begin or continue a serious fitness journey. Their coaches are real leaders and they take personal interest in every member.

I've been a part of the gym for over a year. In that time, not only have I made personal gains that I'm incredibly proud of, I also made some great friendships. I'm normally someone who's fairly introverted, but it's impossible to not engage with the positivity this place creates. Egos are checked at the door and you never feel like you're being judged.

What I enjoy about Crossfit is that it concentrates on being strong. It's not about fad diets and it's not about just looking good. Progressing in Crossfit results in functional strength that benefits you in the real world. I'm almost 40 and last year I hiked the John Muir Trail (220 miles) in just 14 days. It's an accomplishment I'm incredibly proud of and Peak 5 was a major factor in making it possible.

Overall, this is a great place. If you're curious, you should just head over and check it out. The owner, Pete, is a really great guy who genuinely cares about the well being of each member. He's always ready with both fist bumps and ensuring you're motivated to do your best.

First gym i signed up for when we moved from NY and i never left! not only is it in a convenient location but everyone is amazing. Workouts are great and diverse, there is something for everyone. timings of the workouts are also great for any type of schedule. I am personally a resident in training and hence have a busy schedule but have managed to make it in often not only because i enjoy the workouts but i have now found many friends here! highly recommend!

I left LA more than a year ago, and I still long for this place. I've done CrossFit at several other locations, and CFCOA always, always wins. Why? Because the coaches actually COACH you! There is no need to feel intimidated by what those super-fit folks are doing over there, the coaches here help you to focus on what YOU need to do. I attended classes here for more than a year, and it's safe to say I learned something new in each and every class. I also had fun doing it. And fun workouts are the ones that keep me motivated!

After a 3 year hiatus from fitness, Peak 5 was just the place I needed! Supportive community with small group class fitness with a real personal training feel! I look forward to fitness again.

I love this gym! Crossfit might be intimidating for some but they make sure to scale it to everyone’s fitness level. Pete and the other trainers always keep the clases engaging and fun. They work hard to encourage everyone to try their best. I recommend it to everyone I know. Keep up the great work guys!

For most of my life I have had extremely flat feet splayed out in a V-shape and lower back pain as a result. After a few months at Peak 5, I still have the flattest feet of anyone I've ever met, but now I know how to stand and move to compensate for that. It really helps to have someone who knows what they're doing coach you through weightlifting movements -- you can feel the changes even when you're not lifting weights.

The owner, Pete, really gives a damn about the people who go to his gym. He might be as persistent as the Duolingo owl, but a lot more convincing.

Also, this place has none of the cult-y vibe that other crossfit gyms might have.

I cannot speak highly enough about this place. I've always been curious about cross fit, but was turned away because it was too costly and intimidating. Pete and his fantastic coaches make this the best place to feel comfortable and achieve results. It is also totally affordable! I am hooked on Crossfit because of Peak 5!

I’ve been going to peak 5 for more than a year and could not ask for a better gym! Owner is awesome! Everyone is supportive and makes working out a blast! Cool activities outside of the gym each month. Really feels like a huge family!

The coaches are excellent - friendly, fun, and focused on form and function instead of just pushing everyone to lift as much and as hard as they can. A great sense of community among the members, challenging, varied workouts, and personalized attention from management. Really an all around great place to work out!

First off, I've been to a gym before. I've been inside one. Never done a lick of exercise there. I have no gym experience. At all.
My girlfriend scouted out many boxes and decided upon this one. She set me up to meet with Pete Roulet (owner) who evaluated me with an introductory workout (much less than the standard warm up for members!). I was beat after my "introduction"... and sore. Pete is very approachable and I really liked his take on what "healthy" should be. It may be the same outlook that most trainers and gyms have, but since I have zero experience with them it's new and refreshing to me. I like his vibe.
I was always very skeptical about working out in a gym and being "eyed" by all the people. I'm a solitary kind of person so that was always a sticking point. The gym is small compared to my perception of what a "gym" was. I like it. It's more personable.
The membership is not cheap but I'm totally fine with it. I can justify it because I know how I am and for the times when I have tried to "workout" on my own, I've failed. If I'm doing something like push-ups and I get tired, I stop. "Workout" done. Being here makes a difference to me that I'm willing to pay for. Having a trainer push me on for 1 or 2 more makes a difference to me. Looking around and seeing everyone else giving it their all makes me think "why aren't I pushing just as hard?"
I don't have the motivation or drive on my own and I factor that into the cost of being here. I want the drive but just don't have it in me. I'm really enjoying and appreciating the personal attention I'm able to get here.

The trainers are awesome; Pete, Iz, Rose, Joe and Angel. Thank you.
I'm very interested in learning proper form and technique and that is exactly what they are pushing. They provide me with tips and corrections while I'm working out. I love it. Just what I was looking for.
I don't think I can say enough good things about this gym. It's small and not intimidating. The staff and members are all great and very friendly.
I feel sore all the time. It feels great. I love it. I sleep better. I want to eat healthier (still not there yet). I can feel some improvement in my stamina and strength.
It's only been 2 weeks and I'm really enjoying it. I've never worked out before and I can now see the appeal of making oneself better.
CFCOA (CrossFit City of Angels) is a very welcome addition to my life!
I just feel good.
