Despite not visiting the physical store, the online ordering process was smooth, and my delivery to NYC was prompt. Needed a specific bottle for a birthday and missed the cut off time for LA pick up. I sent an email asking for options to get it on a short notice and they responded quickly that I can arrange an appointment to pick up if a time is available and provided the link. I placed the order and picked a time for the next day. The order was ready and it's exactly as described. I look forward to order more from them!

Chapter 4 wines has an amazing selection of wines! I have ordered several bottles from them and have been very impressed by the quality. You will find rare bottles of wine here with excellent rating that you can’t find elsewhere. I’m usually hesitant to try new things but I have really liked everything I have ordered so far! I have placed several online orders with Chap Four and have been very pleased with my experience. The selection of wines is broad and competitively-priced (with plenty of back vintages), packaging is expertly handled, and the provenance has been stellar. The customer service, as well, has been responsive and friendly!

Love, love, love ordering wine from Chap 4! Their easy, inexpensive LA delivery has been a bright spot during Covid, and I’ve enjoyed discovering new favorites through their various kits. There are so many places to buy wine, but Chap 4 stands out for its well-curated selection and high-quality wines at a wide range of price points (from $10 to more than 1000x that!)—plus I’d much rather buy from a family business!

I buy a decent amount of wine from a lot of different places, and Chap 4 is an important asset to LA's wine community, even with a lot of other great wine shops in town. Chap 4 has a great curated selection of wine, especially older and harder to find bottles, as well as some interesting bottles that you likely won't find almost anywhere else. The bottles I've received from Chap 4 have always been in good, or even impressive, condition, regardless of age. On top of that, Chap 4 has some fantastic prices. Last but not least, the proprietor, Scott, is incredibly knowledgable and personable and pleasure to do business with and just geek out with.

Nice selection of wines . Mature and ready to drink!

I called to speak with Scott from Chap4 wines to place an order for my boyfriend for his birthday. Since I was ordering a 1976 wine, I was extremely concerned about the transportation process coming from California to Miami. I told him that I don’t want the wine exposed to unnecessary heat throughout the day and that I would like next day morning shipping. He said that’s fine and gave me a rough shipping cost of 95.00. When I received the shipping invoice, the label said 8 pm next day delivery. I then emailed him and reminded him about our conversation. He then emailed me back stating sure that will cost you another $100.00. I was totally caught off guard, how in the world would I pay almost $200.00 in shipping, that’s unheard of. I then told him to just refund my money.
Then he sends me a disclaimer that he charges 5 percent restocking fee on alcohol purchases and 25 percent on non-alcoholic items.
I was under the impression that I would get maybe 7.00 deducted from the total bill. When he sent me my refund it was almost a $40.00 deduction. I emailed him and he never responded. He also charged me the $97.00 in shipping. I recently have opened a claim for both.
I immediately told him, I prefer to order another wine and receive a credit instead of losing all of that money. He immediately responded that I change my mind too much.
I have never in my entire life experienced such dishonesty and unprofessional customer service. This man is a disgrace.
