Mateo's Ice Cream & Fruit Bars

So many paletas and ice creams to choose from!!! The containers that they give you the paletas in is overkill and I wish they ask if you wanted it bc I ate it straight away. Anyhow the rice pudding paleta was delicious and I’m looking forward to trying more flavors from one of their several locations.

Love the sandwiches, smoothies are really good, but my favorite are the Vampiros. They have a variety of ice cream selection, made out of milk or water. I highly recommend this place. No bathrooms and just a few tables.

Lots of options for both paletas and ice cremas! You have to try Leche Quemada flavour, it really taste like it! Milk coconut paleta was really good too.
The ladies that helped me were very nice and gave me samples before deciding what to buy. When we got there there was no lines and 10 minutes after it was so full! Very popular place in the area it seems.
They need a bigger space for tables -although not a huge deciding factor to try the delicious paletas!-and definitely some AC please. It was a bit too hot after a while.
Overall, if you are in the area or driving by you gotta try this place!

My wife’s showed me this place when we first began dating and the flavors stayed consistently all these years. My go tos are the lemon and mango con chile sorbet flavored ice cream. They make the mango con chile mix properly and not too much chamoy! The lemon is phenomenal and I have even tried their smoothies and they’re great as well. Nothing but the best in town, and the prices are great as well!

I've heard SO much about Mateo's and it's been around for so long, and I finally got the opportunity to go and it is WORTH IT! The selection is very different than average ice cream places and their Bionicos are really really good! They set the standard for a true bionico that will forever be remembered! With a great selection of treats, sandwiches, and even juice style healthy drinks, Mateo's stands out in LA with a variety of refreshing options and family style customer service. Will definitely return and recommend to everyone! Try their bionicos!

Happiness in ice cream and fruit bars. The best ice cream place anywhere!!!! Add in reasonable prices and you are set for the summer and beyond!!!

Highly recommend their lime bars. Tastes like frozen limeade!!! Fantastic!

OMG, These are some of the most delicious popsicles! Just try them ALL! I tried one called “(Something) Ahumado/a” and it’s FIRE! 🔥So delicious 😋

Very tasty food and treats. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Ice cream is just as yummy. Parking can be tough to find depending on how busy it is. You can usually skip the wait if you call ahead and order by phone. It gets very busy during the summer but usually dies down during the colder weather.

I remember this place, this was part of one of my good childhood memories. 10/10, i loved the ice cream. Wish i can come back here again, this place used to make me happy when sometimes me and my family members used to go over here and get stuff. It was good, surprised this place is still in business, thank you ♥

delicious and fresh paletas and ice cream made with so much love!! if frozen treats aren’t your thing they’ve also got fresh cut fruit. they have so many great fruity and creamy flavors...i can’t stop myself from going back to try something new. and yet i always walk away with the smoky milk! i recommend this place to everyone!!

Love love love this place. There's a queue for a reason. Ice cream feels right. It has the taste and the texture, unlike many places where I feel like I'm having something cold and creamy but not real ice cream. And it's so damn economical. Try smoked milk. It was the surprise flavor I never knew I could fall in love with

Everything was excellent! The sandwiches are wonderful you can feel every flavor separately without being overbearing! All of the paletas are good, and the drinks too, but the pineapple juice today was super sweet it was too much.

A hidden gem in Los Angeles. I grew up around this ice cream shop, so I can tell you for sure that everything they make is top tier delicious. It's clean, nice, and cool in the room. It's a good place to take out your friends.

Small locale, no public restroom... But the treats and drinks will make you totally overlook that, especially if you are doing a carryout order! Fresh veggie and fruit shakes and smoothies! Top notch ice cream! The prices are slightly high, but totally worth it!
