Urth Caffe Pasadena

I came here on December of 2023, but may have forgot to leave a review. This place was amazing, had to even come twice in the same week because the food was just beyond my expectations. It was delicious and very filling, staff was amazing and service was great! I recommend coming here for brunch or breakfast if you’re super hungry, it’s so worth it. The price per items is not super expensive either so it’s worth the money too!

We went here for late lunch after a morning at The Huntington Gardens. I’ve been meaning to try Urth Caffe and glad we did it at this branch. The outdoor seating is really nice. We got the reuben (good to split between 2 people) and a pecan sticky bun. The coffee is really good too. The spanish latte was great but I wish it was not as watered down when you get it iced. There are lots of food options in the menu and can’t wait to try the rest <3

What a lovely place with lovely food! The building itself is gorgeous. The seating is welcoming. I got an eggs Benedict dish, and I will say that while it was delicious...the bread it was on was superb. If I were staying in Pasadena longer, I would buy a loaf every week.

You definitely shouldn't miss out on trying the Spanish latte at Urth cafe. Their pastries are not only fresh but also incredibly delicious. Moreover, the unique and beautiful tiles on the wall add to the overall charm of the place.

Delicious food and excellent service. This is the location for people who enjoy a hectic atmosphere. It's worth visiting, even though it's noisy. You can sit in three distinct areas: on the covered patio, by the sidewalk, which is semi-private, and, of course, on the main area. In addition, there is a section dedicated to pastries and coffee if you want to get away from the crowd. The main sitting room, even though it is a bit small, has great decor and a beautiful gas chimney. We got to sit just in front of the chimney, and the gloomy, chilly day made it ideal for my mom and me to have lunch there.
We ordered

"Oven-roasted herb turkey breast sandwich" comes with Dijon mustard and mayo and a side of organic mix green salad and vinaigrette dressing.
"Panini Roasted Turkey" with Urth herb-roasted turkey breast with Jarlsberg cheese. Served on plain or olive focaccia bread with whole grain bread without mustard sauce.

"The Greek Salad"
Live butter lettuce and Treviso lettuce tossed with avocado, seedless cucumbers, feta, Kalamata olives (with pits), sugar plum tomatoes, and Urth oregano vinaigrette. Served with pita bread upon request.

For drinks, we mixed lemonade and ice tea. Overall, it was simply delicious!

I couldn’t take more pictures or videos of the whole place due to others privacy. Anyhow, I do invite you to come visit; you won't regret a thing!

Lovely cafe in Pasadena. Crowded but we were able to find parking on the street. Food and coffee both excellent. Would come again.

Had breakfast 3 days in a row trying different thing everyday. All were delicious. The French toast and omelettes were amazing. Also their coffee is great. Great ambiance for breakfast with nice soothing music to get the day started.

Good vibes, lots of cute patio seating. The food and drinks are awesome — decadent but also wholesome. This is an excellent brunch spot and I always enjoy the experience! Also the staff are very friendly. And there are little birds who chirp around eating up crumbs… plus the fountain area and all the plants and orchid flowers make this a quite special and slightly magical stop ✨

We ate here for dinner recently and I really appreciated the large number of vegetarian options. I had the açaí bowl and it was loaded with fresh fruit and granola! The chai boba was also very good. We got dessert to go, a couple small cheesecakes, and everything was delicious.

Having gone to their Santa Monica and Melrose locations before, this Urth in Pasadena off of Colorado is no different — the aroma of espressos, bread puddings, and pastries and omelettes really take upon a new level of brunching with your family or with your girlies.

Some of my friends have never been to an Urth Caffe before, so they definitely were in for a treat this time around. We went on a Thursday morning around lunch time, and to be fair, the line was long — but it wasn’t stretching out the door per say. I loved the dynamo and decor of this location, and the food selections were diverse. Here’s my experience with everything thus far:

Food: 5/5
I got the spinach and feta omelette with fruits and potatoes. The omelette by itself was so fluffy and so aromatic, and the spinach didn’t taste planty! I also thought that the way they put arugula salad on the side did not disappoint at all. Talk about good portion sizes… AND BOBA TOO. Very well cooked boba and enough ice to not let it be watered down — just the right amount of consistency between the actual drink and the ice!

Service: 5/5
The people taking our orders were really nice and helpful — and were very straightforward. They were really timely about getting our orders out, and I really appreciate how they listened despite so many customers waiting in line.

Atmosphere: 4/5
I mean, overall, it is Pasadena, and in the heart of LA, so it is quite interesting. However, given how crowded it was, I wish that the crowd would have been a little bit more regulated honestly.

I have been to this location three times now and the food never disappoints. The service and attention is great. There is plenty of time to review the menu before standing in line yet folks will stand in line making up their mind.

Once my wife and I made up our mind we got in line and placed our order. We sat outside with the heaters above. Our drinks were first to arrive then the food made its way to our table. My wife had egg whites with her omelette and I had regular eggs.

We tried the pumpkin waffle which didn't disappoint. My wife enjoyed her breakfast with the Spanish latte substituted with oat milk. I had the caffé quadra ( a slap to the face with how strong it is!).

I have always enjoyed coming here to enjoy a moment with my wife.

Awesome breakfast spot. Food quality is superb. Menu is pretty eclectic, each visit is different from the last. The salmon dishes are delicious and the pastries are fresh. Highly recommend the Spanish coffee. You honestly can’t go wrong and it’s super easy to just roll in and have a good meal. Only thing I had that was meh was the breakfast burrito - not authentic. Otherwise, everything else we had was delicious. Enjoy!

There are enough seats. They have lots of menus. I ordered granola and yogurt. I wanna try cakes next time.

Great brunch! It makes you want to order everything on the menu. We ordered three dishes and they were all delicious!

Never a disappointment. They have a great selection of coffees, teas and smoothies to satisfy any thirst you may crave. The sweet display of desert and handheld bakery items make your mouth water while you wait in line searching what seems like an endless menu filled with fresh, organic, gluten free, vegan, you name it. Grab your number and a table and watch all the happy people go by.

- Urth Salad was refreshing and pretty good
- Chicken soup is so comforting
- Spanish Latte is still on point
- Matcha Latte is the greatness according to my wife

Stopped by for breakfast here passing through the city and it was such a delight. I had the vegan panini sandwich which was quite good and the green tea rose latte in oat milk. The latte by itself was worth the visit. I could smell the rose before the first sip and right down to the last.

Loved this place, it was beautiful. The food was delicious and the coffee... chefs kiss 🤌
