Tubby's Tavern

Stopped by on Monday afternoon on our way home. I had never been there before, even though it is fairly close by our house. Has a wide variety of beer & liquor. They have Guinness, which gets a plus from me every time. They serve food, so we ordered the Shredded Beef Quesadilla. It was delicious! Kudos to the chef! (Sorry my photo makes it appear pink, but that was the neon light glow from nearby!) Their prices are very reasonable, and it looks like a comfortable place for locals. Had a double whiskey sour with jalapeño poppers. Both were delicious! Service is excellent and prices are the best in town!

Went there on a date. Was dark as normal for a dive bar and was very dive bar like! Which I love. Service great. Food pretty good. Onion rings and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Strong drinks. Appreciate my time there!

Tubby's is the best spot in East Whittier for drinks, great food and relaxation. A cozy place with old school atmosphere, very nice selection of tap beer and incredible food. I recently had the fried chicken dinner with onion rings and was overwhelmed. The fried chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had, no kidding…and the onion rings were awesome. I highly recommend Tubby's if you’re looking for a place to eat and not necessarily to drink. The bartenders are very professional and mix the drinks just right. Carol was very cordial and attentive. Don’t overlook Tubby's like I did, it’s a great local pub.

Danni service is Amazing and a great bartender. Food is great and drinks are very good and at a great price. Great place to hang out with friends , date or alone.

My first time going to this place. My neighbor highly recommended this place for breakfast. I had the bacon and cheese omelet with onion and bell pepper it came with hash brown and toast. The hash brown were fresh potatoes. My husband had the french toast combo with eggs and bacon. Our friend had the pancake with eggs and sausage. The customer service was very good. We ate outside and the food was hot and fresh. I enjoyed my omelet. Our friend liked his food. My husband said that the french toast was alright it needed cinnamon.

Grew up in the neighborhood and friends with the owner so I'd have a very biased opinion. With that being said, it's a great place to get drinks and the food is always good. Taco Tuesdays is a big hit, but if you want a secret gem, the prime rib on Friday's is great. Definitely worth coming to check that out. It's one of those hole in the wall places worth coming to.

Outside venue right now. First time since they changed it up. Food was good as always and our waitress was great! Wish I remembered her name. Blonde with glasses but very sweet and great personality! The beef nachos and fried zucchini were great! I recommend this place for a good, casual, and chill vibe!

Super great place.... Especially the food that's what the best keep secret.....Two days out of the week...Super special. Tues and Fri days.....And the food is very inexpensive and high quality. The breakfasts are better than any chain restaurant......That's a fact......I don't usually believe in this posting stuff, but a super good place...., bring your family in early, kids included....The have pinball and two vedios games and pool tables than the kids are welcome too .....Just saying

Love coming here every once in a while. Nice place to go if you love dive bars. They have two pool tables, a dart board, and a juke box; what’s not to love. Staff is always friendly and tacos for Taco Tuesday are delicious, I would recommend trying them if you haven’t. Only downside is that the parking lot is small but I never had an issue with parking.

Tubby's stays a step above your average bar food. Good selection of dishes and they're all pretty good. They've got really friendly waitresses as well. All in all a great experience for someone who's too young to drink.

Came here to watch the Rose Bowl game...need a different spot so my mother and I decided to try Tubby's. Nice place...we took a seat at the bar but they have booth seating as well. Beer is Cold and Good which is always a plus. We didn't get to try the food but the Tacos looked good. They also have a couple pool tables. So all and all its a cool place.

Great vibes..good drinks. Bartenders were fun. Pool table. Food menu was great.

Small bar older crowd which I assume are the regulars which means low key environment. We ordered the NY steak it was amazing. The cheese bread, salad veggies and baked potato was icing on the cake. Definitely a spot for bar and dinner food.
