If I want the absolute 🔥 tamales in Long Beach, this is where I come. They got Guatemalan tamales too, also good. If you like Central American tamales of course. My girl don't really care for them but I get them when ever I get a chance. They are open early and their bolillos are 3 for $1, they are delicious in the morning with a large champurrado YEW!

I've never gotten bad service from them. Not even on their busiest mornings. I only wish their was more parking options. It's hard to find parking, even in the neighborhoods.

I'm obsessed. I used to work in a fancy Austrian bakery and these pastries are JUST the perfect amount flakey, sugary, buttery, DELICIOUS. The Guatemalan tamales are really big juicy, tastes like Xmas with grandma ❤ this place is LEGIT. Not your average panaderia

I discovered Marilus just this week and have since visited twice to get dinner and baked goods. I love tamales and their tamales are really good. They have two varieties, Mexican and Guatemalan. I am no expert but to me the difference was in the consistency. The Mexican tamale was firmer while the Guatemalan teammate was softer and juicier. I personally prefer their Guatamalan version. Plus they have a lot of delicious baked goods and juices and the price is right. Great gem in Long Beach

I went to try the tres leches cake. So far the best cake I have tried in a long time. Worth the drive. Definitely ordering a tres leches cake with fruit just for me and my husband.

Love the tamales here! They have both the Mexican style tamales, made with corn husks, and also banana leaves, which are also very good. The cakes here always look great, there's parking in the back, food (besides bread) available to order, and a wide selection of sweet breads

Great staff, wanted champurrado but they did not have any so… they hooked it up and made me some for my family on the spot.

I was looking for Guatemalan TAMALES on line and I came across this place Marilu Bakery Ling Beach, I drove 27 minutes from home just to get TAMALES and let me tell you they were definitely delicious not to soft or hard but perfect and the price perfect for my budget. I’m giving this place 5 stars because the employees at this place were very nice to me, obviously not place to seat but we have to recognize is a bakery and COVID-19 is preventing gathering outside places. I will recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious fresh Mecanico and Guatemala tamales.

Esta panderia es pero de lo mejor! I love the cream cones and the banana cream donuts. There are these ham and cheese pastries that I would get a large coffee and sit and eat and just realax. Not one time have I ever went that anything was not good. The best panderia in Long Beach!

Spoke to Nadia on the phone about making a custom Flan, and she said she can do it, and to come in for the order.

Came to the store, and it looks exactly as it does in the photo, very delicious. Smells very good.

Anyways, met with Nadia who's been there for 10 years, and thank goodness b/c she took the time to place my order, and answered all my questions. Great customer service.

I don't have any pics cause I eat the subject before I remember. Today, literally as I walked in, a tray of bread pudding fresh from the oven was set out just below my nose. OMG, had to take one. And it was way better than any bread pudding I've ever had. Even my grandmother would have to say that there's is better.

Great bread! Every morning I've stopped by, there's a tray or two of freshly baked goods. Friendly staff too, I look forward to going back!

I ordered the Tres Leche cake with the Oreo flavored buttercream icing. The cake was absolutely moist and flavorful (not too sweet). The icing was amazingly done with just the right amount of oreo flavor. The flavors of this cake melded together so well I would say it's the best Tres Leche I have had in a long time.

If you're looking for tamales in Long Beach, you don't have to wait for the holidays. This place sells Mexican and Guatemalan tamales year round. Very good!
