Los Angeles County Sheriff Department - Lomita Station

Our family has had and viewed a number of interactions with Sheriff Department personnel. In each instance the officers have acted promptly and professionally. We give the Lomita Department a firm 10 and are quite willing to discuss the details of these incidents with any interested party.

I called to have a possible disturbance checked out at the back of my property. Within minutes there were deputies at the scene. Their response time was amazing. I am new to the area and it felt good to know I can count on them to come when they are called.

I want to thank lomita sheriff as well as lynwood woman's jail .
Approx 03/26/15 my mentally ill sister was arrested after being M.I.A for some time.
An unknown sheriff officer went to a lot of trouble to bring 2 suit cases of her belongings to her
mothers house 3 miles away. This alerted us and helped us to find her with a phone call to the
LYNWOOD woman's jail where she was well cared for.

SUPERB work arresting an individual that was a menace and threat to our condo community. Highly professional officers. No nonsense. JUST what the doctor ordered.

The officers were incredibly responsive and informative. It's good to know that we can honestly count on them when a situation calls for their help.

A bit disappointed with my experience here. I had to get a fix-it ticket signed off (tint), so I came here after watching a car auto detail center painstakingly scrape off the tint from my two front windows. Deputy V. didn’t think they removed all the ‘layers’ and asked that I go back and get a receipt to prove what they did and have them work a little harder. I spent half my day going back and forth twice to each place and had to get a babysitter to be able to send time to do this. Just wish she was a little more knowledgeable about what newer manufactured windows look like in newer cars so I didnt have to waste so much time :(. Before I left she said “don’t be surprised if you get pulled over again,” since she still thought it was dark. By the way I’m aware I shouldn’t have had such dark tint and totally intended to get it taken off anyways but still sucks.

Bad attitudes. ....

Lazy and rude bunch. Should be retrained with some friendly skills. Don't treat a good citizen like they are all bad. I've called them too many times to remember about illegal firecrackers in my neighorborhood. The first time they said to go find who was doing them. Isn't that their job? After so many fires, deaths and injuries due to use of illegal fireworks I assumed it was worth them checking out. But...the noise and smoke continues after 6 1/2 years.

I called the Lomita police department so they could come ask the homeless that are park in front of my street In a RV, they told me that can’t ask them to move from my Neighborhood because they’re too lazy sitting down in their chair eating donuts and drinking coffee. whats the point of having A police department in lomita if there not going to help the residence of the city of Lomita And the best solution the officer toll me to call the city of Lomita and hangs up on me that’s not professional at all for somebody that gets a paycheck from my taxes do you have more respect for the resident of the city is calling with a concern. And now I’m understanding why Lomira should not have a police department because then don’t do their job we should just let Torrance police department take over this neighborhoods and will see something done because Torrance police doesn’t play around they’re not lazy like Lomita PD

They have Western Ave. completely blocked off, but are allowing more traffic to feed into this trapped area of Western, so more people are getting locked in. It took me 40 minutes to get out, and they were still not diverting traffic away from this area.

How can you trust police, if you come looking for help and the only thing they do is discrimination, lack of attention ,careless, sometimes this is the cause of so many victims because we come looking for help and there's nothing
