New ownership, the inside is bright and vibrant and had a cool atmosphere. Miguel the bartender is the best! Extremely patient, very family/friendly atmosphere. Thanks for making your customers feel as if there home.

Great place to come and have a couple drinks and a great time. The oldest bar in Long Beach, pool tables, shuffle board, a Jukebox and TV's all around. MVP's is conveniently connected to the bar also and will deliver your food to your table or barstool. You can't beat it.

We aren't from here and wanted to go grab a drink and watch the baseball game. Great crowd! Bartenders were amazing, strong drinks, great prices. Definitely a good place to hang out.

I first came to Longbeach from the UK to see a brother in 1987 but was too young to fully appreciate a traditional spit and sawdust type boozer. Anyway, I soon made up for that by following up with several more visits over the years. One year, I recall returning to the UK and someone asking me if I really had been to California as I didn’t have much of a suntan? I guess you don’t get too much sun in O’Connell’s… Haven’t been for many years sadly but I’m sure it’s as good as it always was…

My absolute FAVORITE dive bar or "hood' bar in Long Beach. Strong drinks, low prices, fantastic bartenders and awesome locals! They have pool tables and an excellent juke box, what else can you ask for?

One of the best dive bars and I believe one of long beachs' oldest since the early 1900s'. Still going strong, Long beach strong!

A neighborhood bar that accommodates newcomers well. Many bar-style tables in the barroom if the seats at bar are full or if you need some separation from others. Also has another room with 3 billiard tables and now also a shuffle-board table.

The great little dive bar with good music, nice crowds, and great bartenders. The service is quick. There is a separate room with pool tables as well as an open seating arrangement.

Danielle is the best bartender around!! Great Bloody Mary's and a relaxed environment. Played some pool and had some food from MVP's next door.

O'Connell's is a cool little Irish Pub. Great place to watch football on Sundays during the football season because they have every game on!!!!

New owner same ones as MVP'S next door. Going to do the upgrades that should have been done years ago. Will only get better from here!!!

Great simple local joint with reasonably priced drinks, pool, and good food next door with can be brought into the bar.
