LaShanna's Braid Parlor

My boyfriend called same day and they able to accommodate him same day. He is pleased and said "she's legit" . For sure we will be back. "Awa" was his hair stylist

No doubt these guys are good at braiding but here’s where I think they could improve.
1. Better consultations.
As the professional you are responsible for advising your client based on there lifestyle choices etc.
personal example, I do allot of sport meaning I sweat allot and need to use the sauna in order to cut weight.

After getting my braids done they began to loosen and the fell out. With credit to them they re braided the loosened ones but I think if I had revived a longer consultation and revived some advice to grow the hair. Or would have been told that I can’t get the hair wet (obviously not great if I train frequently)
I would have made a different more logical choice and grown my hair out before spending $100 on something that just doesn’t work.

They also have some great candles for sale
Having said that this is a good genuine place but that doesn’t mean things can’t improve.

Lashonna’s shop is amazing! I was in a bind and needed my hair braided. I called her a day before and she told me to come in the following morning. I was there at 9 and out by 9:50. Nana did an excellent job on my braids. They have a new customer! I absolutely love them!

This shop is the bomb the young lady they put on my head breezed through.fastest bombest style ever. Good prices this is now my new go to for some braids.. basically love lashannas braid parlor best in city ....

Great shop! Fatastic service all around, from the ease of making an aappointment (the same week) to the execution of the braids. Tyra is great at her craft, and very pleased by how my hair turned out. I definitely recommend 👌🏾. Also, street parking only but there were plenty of spots even on a Sat morning.

Thank you for my comb twist. My stylist was sweet, thorough, funny, and professional. I called the day before at 2:00pm and got a hair appointment for the next day at 9:00am. The service was spectacular. My comb twist came out fire! I am pleased and grateful to finally find a hair salon where actions and words match. The prices are reasonable and every queen in the shop was welcoming. Thank you!

The experience was beautiful, I was skeptical because I had a bad experience last year with a different shop but this shop totally made up for that. I was new to the shop but I felt right at home, the shop and workers are very peaceful and welcoming to all sorts of race and culture. Not expensive at all, amazing work with the hair styles, my braids were done neatly it didn't hurt. I got what I asked for and more and I wasn't there all day lol, not that I would have mind. Thank you everyone especially Brandy and the owner Mrs L, I'll be back!

I had such a wonderful braid experience here. The owner and the other stylist are talented. The shop is very nice and clean. They serve coffee for the early birds 😉. I haven't worn braids for 15 years and La Shanna helped me from beginning to end with the right style and hair. I will be returning for more styles

I got twists as start up dreads... wonderful experience! I've gotten locks before and it hurt like hell! The young woman who did my hair did it perfectly with no pain!

LaShanna was very professor. I hadn't found anyone in about 20 years who could do my hair. She did an excellent job. My hair is very thin on the edges, but she was able to cover them

I went to get medium sized box braids and they came out wonderful! Plus, LaShanna gave me a complimentary wash and condition before she braided me up. Great conversation and atmosphere!

Super friendly and considerate. I got medium box braids and I’m 12, first time. When you walk in it’s just like going to a friends house. The braiders are fun to hang out with actually! the 4 hours went by so fast. braids were great and I was kind of afraid that I was going to get judged, you know because some people don’t like other races besides the “original race” (just my personal worry) getting box braids but I felt so welcomed! but I’m so mad at myself because I took them out litterally a week later....I got them too long and they got heavy but that is just how it is but I was a baby when I got them and of course I took them out and then I missed them. I’m gonna go in to get them again tho!

Had a last minute urge to get some braids. I definitely walked into the right spot. Everyone was pleasant, quick service and phenomenal braiding. I got so many compliments. Price was right too. Officially my go to spot in LA!

1st time customer. Called in to make an appointment and it went smoothly. I was instructed on what to do in preperation (what hair/extensions to purchase) and what the price of the hairstyle would be upfront. Prices are reasonable. My braider/stylist (Brandy) was attentive and answered all my questions. Lashanna, the owner was friendly and greeted all customers as they entered. Salon has great atmosphere, peaceful and all stylist are great at what they do. Def will be going back.

Would do 10 stars. Came in from Houston searched in braids and saw the reviews they had and booked my appointment. Super professional + good work and it didn’t take long either. I would post my photos but I don’t have no hang time yet!

La Shanna is always pleasant and bursting with positive energy. Shes been providing service to myself, mother, sister and son without any problems.. We look forward to continuing business with her.
