DeVry University

If you find yourself needing to complete your degree, and don't have the time or patience for a traditional big campus experience, I highly recommend the DeVry campus located in Long Beach. It's clean, convenient, offers free parking, and it has a great supporting staff. If you find yourself needing to take MATH62 I strongly recommend Professor Abeysekera's on-campus class. He takes his time to explain the concepts and never rushes through. You can tell he really wants his students to learn and to succeed.

I participate at the DeVry campus weekly, and more in the summer. Makersville does youth programs in Inventing and Robotics in support of the World Robot Olympiad competition. We will start working on facilitation and problem solving skills soon. I do appreciate all the help I get from the leadership and staff at DeVry! The space is clean, well maintained, my parents love it! The location is very accessible to the 405 freeway and the airport, if you're flying in!

Wow - the level of care this team gave me to get started with DeVry was not expected. After not being in school for over 20 years it just feels great to have the support Darlene Milecki and her team have shown me. Every other day I get a call or an email checking in on me and things I need to get done. These past 8 weeks - my 1st session and not my last - were great! Thank you to the DeVry team for helping me along the way! Your hard work your communication and your support is greatly appreciated!

I've been teaching at DVU Long Beach since 2000. You won't find a campus at any university where the staff and faculty take better care of students. The content of the classes is what will help students in their careers. The location is convenient, right off the 405 and next to the Long Beach Airport, and classes are offered evenings and Saturdays.

Love this campus! It’s a great location — right next to the airport and near freeways. The faculty and staff really take time to support students’ progress. The programs are tech-infused and hands-on. It’s a small campus with low student:teacher ratio so students don’t get lost in the mix.

The faculty and staff at DeVry University Long Beach are awesome! They care and provide students excellent support to help them succeed.

Expensive but convenient

DeVry a a whole is a great school for people wanting to get there education and still manage their busy lives. I don't recommend this as a college for those who are not self driven. It takes a lot of personal drive to do well, study and learn on your own and complete the tasks on time in a fast paced environment. Classes are 8 weeks, which goes much faster than expected, there is no room for procrastination. I love DeVry, it works well for me. I've managed to keep above a 3.9 my whole 1st year. The staff and professors are extremely helpful and there are endless free resources at your disposal.
