Plenty of mixed reviews on this place but it was a good visit for us. Meats were flavorful and authentic. Service was good with refills and waiter stopping by multiple times to check on us. Recommended.

Good Mexican food very good if you are 100 % chilamngo and you miss your food this is the place to go always crowd a lot of people always but it worth the wait

Still one of my fav tacos in the world! My favs are queso taco with lamb and lamb barbacoa plate. Be sure to try their pulque, a traditional alcoholic beverage derived from fermented cactus. I like the coconut pulque myself. Enjoy!

This is the place to go for the best lamb, rabbit, quail, and some unique sides for the truly adventurous like "chapulines" with guacamole and a wonderfully made Chipotle sauce wrapped in a hand made tortilla...just delicious trust me.

Fantastic service, unique foods, would absolutely go back.

Despite its legendary status in town, and being on almost every essential essentials list, the story of Aqui es Texcoco did not even start here in Commerce. In the United States, its big brother came first in Chula Vista, a bit closer to the grand original location in Tijuana, which became famous for feeding the pit-roasted lamb that many residents of the northern city missed from back home in central México.

If you have ever traveled to Mexico City and made friends or happen to have family there, chances are you have also made it to Texcoco. This small town is a little more than 25 kilometers from the center of Distrito Federal, and a weekend destination for many families who pack everyone in their car before sunrise and try to make it to the most popular stands before they are sold out.

Because it takes at least overnight in an underground pit to be cooked right, barbacoa is not something that many people cook at home. Certainly you will find competing origin stories, but many people agree that Texcoco is the birthplace of barbacoa in México, making weekend trips to the town essential for any food-centric travels. Los Angeles has an embarrassment of available regional styles of Mexican food, so it is only natural that this tradition has also come here. Better yet, Aqui es Texcoco is cooking barbacoa every day of the week.

Perfect place for real Mexican food! I go with Halal options and they do have halal lamb and lamb soup with Garbanzo Beans. Very delicious! Also, don't forget to try their Cafe de la Hoya after everything 😊

Auténtica comida mexicana! Take this comment from a Mexico City native! There is just a FEW restaurants in the WHOLE L.A area that can proclaim as “authentic” as this one.

I came here during the night time about 2 hours before they close One server attending two big family she was amazing she stayed on top of our order and at the end she enjoys seeing happy birthday to my wife if you haven't been here go there and ask for their cheese appetizer you won't regret it

This is this is for all those bad reviews that asking for rice and beans comparing with birria if you know about barbacoa doesn't comes with rice and beans and nothing to do with birria this is a long process, it should even cost more. I come here all the time and every single time it's the best barbacoa.

I ate here a few years years ago. It's great food is authenticity to its mexican region. It's in the name. I highly recommend it. Friends go often after years of me recommending it. Try the pulque and the grasshoppers

The food is amazing. We were there to celebrate my mom's birthday. The Barbacoa melts in your mouth. The service is great. I will definitely be going again. My mom is already planning on getting a couple Barbacoa packs for our next family get together.

Great customer service staff are really nice and the fooooood!!! OMG is soooooo delicious tbh. I had 2 quesatacos of chicharrón prensado my god, I had to ask the waitress for 2 more it is so delicious. I recommend it you'll love it really worth paying what I paid.
