Salazar Park

Very active park with great festivities. Here is the annual Aztec celebration. Very friendly crowd, great vibes and very fun atmosphere.

Pool is clean with a friendly staff. Park is nice and has plenty of shade. They offer free lunch for kids under 18 years old.

They had some celebration of the AZTEC New Year, it was wonderful!

Nicely maintained park. Great for picnicking and several other Recreation programs.

A well maintained and enjoyable park experience, with the exception of a few folks who like to hangout in the covered area just north of the tennis courts. I take walks or skateboard at the park almost daily. I've never had any issues besides the aforementioned drinking or smoking ,which doesn't necessarily bother me as long as no one is acting out.(However, I should note an increasing amount of transient people on the lawn facing Whittier Blvd. my guess is that it's only increasing temporarily given the current heat and COVID pandemic)

During the day between 8:00 am 5:00 am its fine plenty of activity for the elderly tennis basket ball jogging softball field plenty of peopel in and around the park. After dark stay away to much gang activiy

Salazar Park is a good Park to visit with the kids with
because has a lot of events and Community meetings and it's been a very culture to the community.
And the morning the seniors get dance classes they keep their body healthy.

Nice park. Big field. Basketball and tennis courts. Workout area. Creative Playground. We came to see the azteca(mexica) dancers to celebrate the new cycle a new year of life. This is an annual event. I estimated at least 100 dancers in full regalia 13 drummers, energy was amazing. Beautiful feathered headdresses in all types of feather work ,so many colors and designs. This year is 8 Flintstone (chikueyi tecpatl). Happy New year everyone🐚🎉🎉🎉

Awesome park! Great to bring kids. Especially during summer. Community activities year round. Just a very community friendly place.

I love this place so much because the staff was so nice and friendly!!! Come to parks after dark for more fun than you expected !!

My Daughter and I visited Salazar Park in 2019. Having the same last name was kinda cool. Beautiful Park.

Great pool, and the staff are very helpful, I wish the local council woman would focus on this area for improvement and resources.

The Zumba class with Blanca at 8:30 to 9:30 is very good. I've lost 25 pounds in one month. 😊

Nice and quiet good place to study or smoke if your a smoker but it does get busy during the afternoon due to school sports medicine

Nice clean park with a swimming pool, a baseballs field for little league baseball and Pop Warner Football a Jungle Jim and a Basketball Jim with league teams for junior and adult players.

I really like how they have a lot of activities for the kids all the time, I love to spend time with my family at his park , :)

They have REALLY Cleaned up this park since I was a young boy back in the day with all these gangs and violence back in the mid and late 80's and I can now take my girls and have them play there when I visit
