Vintage on Point

Looking for a kitchen utility cart to replace a failing IKEA ish piece and found Vintage on Point online. Liked some of the pieces seen online and visited their location in South Los Angeles. They are located in an interesting place just south of Interstate 10. They restore pieces that are sourced by their team to a better than new condition. I purchased a fully restored Martinsville walnut and oak credenza with rosewood sculpted handles. The Item was structurally sound , sturdy and fully functional. Manufacture mark still shows well. It is an heirloom for my family now. Prices are higher than Ashley or Home Goods or others that produce furniture but the value of these products are significant and by purchasing restored products we are not contributing to deforestation or abuse. These guys are great.

Bought a restored dresser and credenza from here, both beautiful pieces. All interactions with the business were pleasant and helpful. They offered to do a refinish and repair a couple minor marks on the pieces for free, and also offered local delivery at a reasonable price. Will definitely be returning.

Shop has been super responsive and accommodating. The shop finds are so unique and a refreshing change from other furniture sites I've browsed. Helpful and willing to coordinate local delivery.

Bought six chairs and had four of them reupholstered. Great quality stuff at reasonable prices. Very good communication throughout the process.

The team did an amazing shop with two custom swivel chairs - helped get them shipped to CO as well.

Just bought a great desk here, couldn't be happier. They have really interesting furniture at great prices, and everyone who works there is extremely nice.

Nice selection of vintage furniture, staff member came off as a little rude and she seemed irritated to be there. But overall a good shop to keep up to date with online.

I was interested in purchasing a piano from here for roughly $6-$7k. I discovered a broken key, so I asked if I could have it evaluated by a professional, and they agreed to put it on hold for me for 2 days until the guy could come. I paid $250 to have it evaluated and the key fixed (with the intention of purchasing it). I told them what the piano expert said/how much he valued it at and told them I needed to discuss with my client to make a formal offer. They agreed it was still on hold for me. 20 mins later they then sold the piano to someone else (for more money than it was offered to me), using the fact that I had just paid to repair it and have it evaluated for us to purchase. After all, a working piano has much more appeal than one with keys that stick. I told them this was so upsetting and very unethical, as I just paid to repair it with the intention of purchasing. They were very rude. They then refused to reimburse me for the repair (which I was okay with losing, as long as we decided not to take the piano, but they never gave us the choice), nor did they even offer to split the cost or anything. I know times are tough and they saw an opportunity to take advantage and make more money. But wow. If you value integrity, I highly do not recommend purchasing from here.

Simply put it was a huge waste of my time and money in dealing with this dishonest shop, what was listed as a fully restored credenza was far from it, they also never mentioned that the shelves included with the piece were not the original. Drove about 130 miles to pick up and return the inferior piece and they refused to issue a credit on the delivery fee.
