Amazing lamb dish I had. Moist and juicy meat. Soup was nice and hearty as well. I also love the complimentary mint tea. Definitely would be there more often if I was in the neighborhood.

If you’re looking for fantastic food that has big portions and amazing flavor. Come here! My girlfriend and I came here back to back on consecutive days, it was that good. Highly recommend getting the goat and rice!

My wife and I just had an amazing dinner. We've wanted to come here for a pre-concert meal for a while and finally made it. I got the chicken and my wite got the lamb - both were so hot, juicy, and delicious. Now definitely our go to place before Sofi and Kia Center.

Really great food. Huge portions. Very flavorful. Came with entree, soup, really good tea, water bottle and a banana. Hole in the wall which is a good thing. Feel like you're being fed at someone's home. Definitely going back. I recommend you try it.

Don’t let the average prices deceive you… this place isn’t average, it’s excellent. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles County. Food is worth every cent!

This is a friendly place with large portions of delicious food. We’ve been trying to go to Banadir for months when we go to SoFi or the Forum. We finally left early enough to make it from Reseda. What a treat! The other patrons were friendly, making sure we tried the incredible free tea and now we know to get bananas next time to eat with the spicy green sauce. I got the lamb and my husband had the chicken. Wow! We will be making special trips here from now on.

So delicious and the owner was very friendly! Our first time here, found this gem before going to a show at Kia Forum, which is conveniently 5 mins away. We sat in the back patio, and he suggested getting 4 dishes for the 6 of us women. We loved how they served it on 1 massive platter. It was more than enough! There are 6 choices on the menu, nice and simple. We got the beef, lamb, tilapia and chicken. We also got the veggie soup. 5 Cokes and 1 Fanta, done! There was a nearby parking lot on the block. Would love to go back and highly recommend. Great price for great food.

ATE HERE FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST NIGHT AND LOVED IT!!! My friend treated me for my birthday. I got the salmon, she got the lamb. I had a big appetite so I cleaned my plate as you can see from the photos I shared. Delectable!!! I do eat more than most though; my friend had plenty left over for a second meal later. It really is a lot of food for an unbeatable price. And we received great service from Hussein. I'll be visiting this place again and again and again, no doubt.

This place has delicious food. The lamb plate is the best for me and my family, their other dishes are great as well. Their soup and tea are also delicious. The service is amazing very hospitable.

Amazing service and food! All of the staff were amazing, and really explained how to eat Somali food. The food was top notch, full of flavor. If you eat in, you get a complimentary soup, which was very nice with soft potatoes and other vegetables. The platters are enormous- with rice, a salad, and your choice of meat. These meats are well cooked and flavorful, and the rice is very nice. Well worth a stop if in the area

This was my first time trying Somalian food and boy, it was delicious 😋 I concur with most of the reviews, it doesn't have much of a store front and it truly is one of those hidden jewels of LA. The chef/owner (I think) greeted us with a warm and big smile that immediately draws you in. The food is fantastic, I ordered the salmon and my friend ordered the lamb. A MUST TRY and get hooked kind of place. I unfortunately don't live close by, else they would see me every day.

Let me tell you about the suffering I experienced here and maybe you can learn from my mistakes. First, I decided to wear pants that fitted me well. That was my biggest mistake. The food was so good, so so delicious, I had to undo the button and zipper because my stomach was bursting from being greedy. If you're coming here, make sure you wear something loose. Second, you should make sure you have something to do right after this. Luckily, I had a plane to catch. Otherwise, I might have stood there and drank all their tea. It's so refreshing and suited for any time or weather of the day. Don't worry about drinking too much, there is a nice clean toilet convenient for you. The owner and workers are super friendly, they make you feel like you're a regular there, even if it's your first time. I highly recommend you come here, this is the BEST place. But remember my tips, else you'll suffer like me.

Delicious food. Great customer service. Everything is delicious, starting with the delicious veggie soup and extra delicious tea. Then the main course is delicious and filling. The meat soo tender and juicy. My family and I love it there. The servers are super sweet and helpful.:)

Honestly, they are really nice. If you are dine-in they offer free soup. Also, if you want to take out they give you a banana and a water bottle for free, such a kind restaurant. Besides that their tastes are really good. One of the most fav dish of mine is beef and rice. One more thing, this is halal restaurant.

I highly recommend Banadir Somali restaurant with a big thumbs up! Despite being a small family-owned Halal establishment, their food is truly exceptional. Their Beef Rice is a must-try, and their Cinnamon tea works wonders in aiding digestion. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a delightful dining experience.

The food here was 10/10 if you want authentic Somali food this is the place for you! The owner is very kind and very welcoming. If you’re new to Somali food I recommend trying the rice with chicken steak and fish with everything on it.

We had the goat dish and it was freaking amazing. The meat was very soft and tender, fell off the bones. The salad could use a little more dressing, I loved the dressing. The green sauce is pretty spicy, so handle it with care. The rice was really good and flavorful. It's a one man show, the owner is very kind and definitely knows how to churn out good dishes.

The service and the Resturant felt like a true traditional feel. The goat was so tasty. I think the second best goat I’ve ever eaten. You’ll have to come to texas to get the first best one lol. The owner was so kind and helpful. The tea was poppin!! Ginger and just the right amount of sweetness. The portions are large and you will be more than full. The price is pretty sweet also especially for the quality and amount of food you’ll get. And the soup, soooo good! I’d def recommend. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
