Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center

All staff throughout my hospital stay were outstanding (security, registration, ER staff, transportation, lab techs, CT techs, administrative staff, food services, etc.) from the moment I entered the ER until I left on Thursday. Received excellent care from Dr. Ali O. Jamsshidi, Neurosurgery. He was able to explain my condition to me in terms I could understand and the process to remove/ my brain tumor. He performed an 5 hour brain surgery on 11/8/2023 and removed 100% of my tumor. No cancer was found in the tumor. It was growing and was about 4 cm, the size of a baseball. I'm grateful for his education, skill and expertise. I feel blessed he works as a specialist at Kaiser Woodland Hills Medical Center, and he was assigned to me.

The nurses and doctors in Telemetry provided such great care during a 3 day visit. I can't say enough about Marisa.. she was an excellent nurse with compassion and kindness. The internal medicine doctor was also top notch, given the circumstances surrounding the stay. Thank you!

I took my dad for symptoms that were diagnosed later to be a serious issue. The staff was very kind, courteous and they answered all of our questions. Great service, thank u.

On February 12 after I had my stroke, I was admitted to the hospital. I was grateful that I got to meet Dr. TSENG, WENDY MD As she was my doctor during my stay in the hospital, she was amazing and she was a great doctor that listened to you and sat with you to discuss all the steps what’s going to be next I just want to say thank you to her

I am beyond grateful to everyone who assisted me during my surgery last week, including the nurses, anesthesiologists, and, of course, my doctor Sameera Nadimpalli. All of them treated me with patience, respect, politeness and they made me feel comfortable and safe. Doctor Nadimpalli is a star, one of the best doctors I’ve had the pleasure to have on my care team. Thank you all!

My wife and I have been married for many years. A date for us was usually dinner and a movie. Now that we're a little older, a date is dinner and...Kaiser. While that's our inside joke, it's close to the truth. Our family have been members of the Kaiser Permanente for over 40 years.

KAISER PERMANENTE WOODLAND HILLS is part of Kaiser Permanente, a nonprofit medical system that supplies pediatric through geriatric carring services.

The hospital complex has expanded. A new, multi-story, building added four, state-of-the-art operating rooms, an expanded emergency department, with over two dozen single patient treatment rooms, a gift shop, and additional services.

What used to be the emergency room complex, has been remodeled to become a greatly expanded, walk-in Urgent Care facility.

Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills has been voted one of the best hospitals in the United States. Our experience agrees. The staff: doctors, nurses, pharmacists, the people who look inside you and the people that take your fluids are friendly, warm, and caring.

Little things: Environmental services asks permission to enter your room. Doctors, nurses, dietitians, and a myriad of others show kindness and respect, even when you're miserable and just a bit unpleasant.

The Emergency Department and Pharmacy are available 24/7.

A cafeteria is located on the lower level. Local eateries, add to the cafeteria's selections, providing their unique specialties. Vegan and gluten free options are offered. When closed, coin machines dispense a limited selection of drinks and sandwiches. Prices are moderate.

There are manicured gardens for a bit of exercise, with tables, chairs, and benches to enjoy a snack or drink. An excellent coffee kiosk, with daytime hours, is located just outside the main entrance.

On Thursdays, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, a Farmer's Market includes, bakery goods, nuts, coffee, fruit juices, yogurt, salsas, organic fruits, vegetables, sushi and Empanadas. A Covid mask is recommended on hospital grounds. (Free masks are available.)

Free self and inexpensive valet parking are offered. Electric vehicle charging stations are available on the first and fourth floors of the parking structure. Weekdays, a free tram carries you from parking to the hospital's main entrance. The paid valet parking is free for cars with handicapped plaques.

Of course, everything is ADA compatible.

¹ Kaiser's first hospital opened in 1945. The Woodland hills hospital complex, which took 6 years to build, opened in 1986.

I had a wonderful experience at this cardiology clinic. The staff were very professional, courteous, and helpful. They made me feel comfortable and well-informed throughout the whole process. The doctors were amazing. They explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. They performed a thorough examination and gave me the best treatment options for my condition. They also followed up with me regularly and monitored my progress. I felt like they really cared about me and my health. I was very impressed by their expertise and dedication. I would highly recommend this cardiology clinic to anyone who needs cardiovascular care!

I just finished a major surgery at the Kaiser Permanente in Woodland Hills and spent 5 nights there. The overall service was excellent; I highly recommend going there. If you need a surgeon- DR Hodad Naderi is a rock star. Excellent young doctor, he treats his patients like family. If you have a chance to schedule him you won’t be disappointed.

Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills is undergoing some Major Redecorating. From what I understand, there is going to be a new E.R. and perhaps a new O.R.? Been coming here since they opened back in the 90's. It's quite saddening and surprising to see a 3.4 Stars for this facility, considering Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills is the highest ranked hospital in the San Fernando Valley! Kaiser's quality of care has been highly rated and attributed to a strong emphasis on preventive care. In addition, the doctors here are salaried rather than paid on a fee for service basis. With over 12 million health plan members and over 200k employees, my expectation would've been closer to 5 Stars! In My book, they are nothing short of 5 Stars with the care they are providing my mom.

Excellent care. The nurses were awesome! Dr. Tseng was amazing too! Everyone was patient, kind, respectful, friendly and helpful!

The best place made feel so comfortable and provided with the best Medical services , Nurses were always like guardian angels full of caring , loving. Hearts .

Excellent experience from admission to discharge with all doctors and staff.Thanks to Dr Mehrabi, Dr Morris, Dr Sadek, Dr Bryant, nurse Areli and Tony and all the respiratory therapists, speech therapists , case manager Joanne who took care of my husband and made it possible for him to come home after 6 day stay in the hospital.Every one was kind and caring.

Running 103 fever got me into Kaiser Woodland Hills on the fifth floor. The nurses were fantastic. The doctors were attentive I was so comfortable and the food was really good! The tuna and the salmon are fantastic! Four days later I was cured and going home. Thank You, Kaiser, Woodland Hills, and the nurses on the fifth floor, especially Norma. Uriostegui

Just finished the 6 week pulmonary rehab program with James Yoon
and I have to say I am very grateful for the experience. I learned a lot of helpful techniques to help me with my daily life, James really helped me build the confidence to push forward and incorporate an exercise program into my life.

I would like to thank all the staff who cared for me during my 11 days here. From the 4th floor, dialysis department, food service and the vascular team, all were awesome and treated awesome. The care I got was what every hospital should strive to be. All I can say is thank you, thank you and thank you.

They treated me with respect dignity, and answered all my questions mid morning, and night shifts were outstanding to me. My doctor 10 stars loved her. She took care of me. She answered my questions. Thanks, Doc.

I would like the class to be a little longer . Best teacher James Yoon enjoyed this class and all the people in it. We are going to continue our friendships after class ended.
