Chicken King Express

I usually get the chicken kebab plate or grill chicken plate but today I tried the lamb plate.
I like lamb but it’s usually a bit too gamy for me.. this lamb was beyond extraordinary! Not gamy whatsoever! The flavor was immaculate! This has changed my life forever! Try it for yourself and I promise you won’t be disappointed!

The best Mediterranean food in Monrovia! My husband gets the Kings Platter and I usually get Chicken Kabob plate or the Chicken Caesar and bread and hummus.

This place is amazing. It’s a hidden gem. I came here on a whim a few months ago and I’ve been coming here ever since. I like a variety of food and I’m generally picky about my meats. I never get a dry piece of meat here. It’s always juicy and tender with loads of flavor. The hummus is delicious. The rice is filling. And there’s something great about the garlic spread. I highly suggest coming here and trying it out for yourself. I’ve added this place to my queue and it will stay there.

We’ve been seeing this place advertised all over instagram and it looks absolutely amazing! My husband ordered food for us to go and can honestly this place did not disappoint! The food is delicious and fresh and my husband said the customer service was absolutely top notch and fantastic! We definitely found our new fave place to go!

It's a very good restaurant for those who love Mediterranean dishes. The chicken kabab and the garlic sauce is my favorite here.

This place is delicious and the service was great. We had the chicken lule and beef lule plates. The rice pilaf was perfect and the meat was juicy.

This restaurant is amazing. As soon as I saw the fire pit I was sold. The young man at the counter was one of nicest guys to take an order. The food was fresh and came out piping hot. It was for carry out but as soon as I it came out sizzling I sat down to eat. I’m from texas here on a work trip and will definitely come back.

Delicious Mediterranean rotisserie chicken, hummus, salad, etc. wonderfully executed. I love the chicken kebab wraps. Their family meals are a, great value. (Only drawback is that there is no public restroom.)

Very nice people. The food is made fresh and is quite tasty. A bit pricey but fairly normal for Mediterranean food. They even have empanadas.

Great dinner! Beef was super tender. Salad was heavily seasoned and lemony and that is a great thing in my book. Chicken was moist with chargrilled flavor. Order was correct and ready right on time with friendly service.

Fresh, healthy and so delishious. Rotisserie chicken and chicken kabob plus rice, salad hummus AND garlic sauce. Go now! Try them and you'll go over and over.

Food is delicious and the owner is very accommodating. We made our own order and he directed us to a different plate to save money and get more food! My wife and I shared a quarter chicken, beef kabob, rice, salad and hummus. I'm not even a hummus fan and it was fantastic. Need another pita bread for your hummus, no problem! Good job!

Great little spot down. Love the lula and chicken kabobs. Hummus is good! I love the garlic. Takes about 5-10 minutes for a plate, so not fast food. Tastes great! Be sure to call ahead. Soda is canned, no soda machine.

Went to Chicken King Express for the 1st time today for Lunch..
Got the Chicken Kabob Meal, great tasting Chicken, rice pilaf, salad, n hummus wich I don't really eat but tried it an was delicious all the food was great will be going back to try more. 👍

The food was decent but the rice was kind of bloated if u know what I mean. Like they cooked it with too much water. Other than that they were pretty good. I'll have to come back a second time to see if it's always like that

Edit: Came back a second time and the rice was much better. The dude behind the counter was super friendly and struck up a good conversation. I really like this place. I've upgraded my review to 5 stars

Very good Arabic food taste and grilled foods are awesome!!

I absolutely love this place! I think it's better than the other Mediterranean places around like Aladdin's kitchen and Zankou chicken in pasadena. I usually stick to the chicken or beef kebab plates. I love those so much that I haven't been too adventurous with the menu, but they actually have a lot to offer. The chicken is never dry and always flavorful. You get good portions as well. You can also call your order ahead of time if you don't want to wait around. The owner is very nice as well. No bathrooms here though, just FYI.

Excellent quality, the flavors are top! The portions are well distributed I highly Recommend them. I used them for the catering of my daughters birthday! Everything was delivered on time and well presented.
