In the new year (2020) we took a leap of faith and listed our home in Cypress during COVID and decided to move into a two bedroom apartment in Seal Beach with theee kids, two dogs and a bird. With my wife not able to work and some FICO issues we were not sure when we would be able to get back into a house but hoped and prayed it would happen sooner rather than later. In August I heard a whisper in my ear to call a friend from church who knew the market in East Long Beach (the area we hoped to find our family home). When I called Jack Tanner happened to have a lead on a place off market and got us in to meet the owner who we loved! Jack helped us write a letter and make an offer and everything started to fall in place from there. I was told by many that I was far from being able to qualify for a purchase but Jack had an answer for that as well and connected me with a lender (Rob) he swore by and said “just have him look at the numbers and if he says it will work - it will work.” Jack and Rob worked together to assure that everything would go through with the funding and it did! We wanted a home that we could put some sweat equity in and Jack found that for us and is also guiding us through the renovations. Much of the sweat we look forward to putting in ourselves but Jack has also connected us with his personal contractors which is allowing us to completely remodel the inside of the house under budget. We are so excited now to start this new chapter and hope to move into our home before Thanksgiving. We thank God for putting amazing people into our life and for making this happen! We look forward to filling our new home with family, friends and memories 🙂.
