The largest collection of free DVD rentals in the county. And maybe magazines and audio books as well. Beautiful architecture too.

I'm saddened by the fact they are no longer open on saturdays, as I used to spend a lot of those afternoons reading magazines and getting a week's worth of dvds and an audio book for my weekly commute.

One of the most beautiful public libraries in Marin county. If you’re visiting Marin as a tourist, this is one place where I’d like to recommend to stop by to see Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic building and walk into the library which is located on the top floor entering from the south side of the building. There’s a small section/shelf dedicated to the books of Frank Lloyd Wright & some other related materials regarding the designing and development of the building. There are souvenirs of the civic center that you could purchase only at this location (tote bags and a couple other items).

There’s docent-led walking tour to see the civic center building (Wednesdays?). Recommends to make a rsvp and find more info online.

Always a pleasure to tour FLW's final masterpiece. Go to garden overlook on South end's 4th floor for eye-level rooftop views. Great library here plus a cafeteria and ATM onsite.

Fantastic library in a wonderful space. I wish we had streetcars to take us there instead of having to buy a car, drive there, find parking, then drive back home. Cars inhibit human interaction, are terrible for the environment, and often prove lethal to animals. We shouldn't need to risk life and limb to visit the library, but that's what most of us do anyway. I personally think streetcars and libraries go together perfectly and long for the day we can put our childish 4-wheeled toys away and go back to being well - aquatinted adults looking out for one another. But yeah, great collection of material in a truly fantastical building. Yay, libraries!

I like the location. The materials are ok but I would not rate as outstanding. I like that I could stop in here before court and after court. And that it is open on Saturday. The bus stops here. Yes, I wish architects of today could use their imagination and vision in a similar capacity as Frank Lloyd Wright. actually my prefered architect would be Dr Seuss. I upgraded my review to 5 star because if you can at least find one unique book that you like in the whole library a whole entire sea of 50,000 books or so or something it is worth a 5 star rating. the librarians are nice here and dont tell you to look it up on google. the library is decorated old school for those of us who appreciate that. i can find a cozy spot and park myself and find joy in information a decent conversation. i find books provide that to me. someone really had something to say and got out a notebook or typewriter and put much thought into it. i've enjoyed some classic books here eventhough i cant recall the title. some forgotten classics are often the best books out there. then you can go out on the courtyard for fresh air and get close to a tree if you dont have one in your backyard. and you can renew your books about 3x then bring them back and check them out again

Discovered they have a scanning station here! Saved me $20 that it would have cost to get my documents scanned at Staples.
I love libraries!

Super nice librarians; great kids room; mostly English books, but they have a great Spanish reader section too, in kids and adults.
